  Oh, long gone is the innocent Frank we knew and loved, though even through all of that, I think the thing I loved the most was that even though that bastard did those horrible things to him, Frank managed to keep his humanity, he made the death relatively painless just a hail of bullets to the brain.

  I'm sorry but after reading and thinking about this chapter for a couple of days, I feel compelled to say that rape is most certainly NOT legal in marriage. I don't know how it is in Ireland you guys, but here in the U.S,where this story is set, we don't allow that horrible fuckery.
  
  I suppose she was speaking of the thirties, (duh moment), but now days, that bull is not tolerated.

  Up until the nineteen sixties,rape was legal in marriage in the US,as well as most other places,including Ireland.
  
  I'm sorry I sound like such a bitch!Obviously Lornaigh does not condone rape of any sort but she had a sheet of information which she worte from,including jistory and stuff,and one of the categories was "law & order"...

  Amazing chapter - fuck the whole story is amazing, I'm reading it now for what, the third time over? Annnnyyywaaaay, I just noticed as I was reading it that it said "the other three million people on the planet". I'm guessing it was a typo of billion, 'cos obviously there were more than three million or the world would have been wiped out 20 times over by World War 2!
  
  Sorry - I know I sound like a bitch pointing it out, but things like that just bug me, and I figured if I said something you could correct it, or tell me to fuck off, or whatever!
