POV: Dracula´s feelings during the Masquerade Ball

I felt my last remaining bride approaching quickly, obediently and hungrily following my call for her.
I could tell that Aleera was lusting for the warm blood of the Valerious Princess. They had been enemies when Aleera had been mortal and with my immortal gift she finally was able to pay back the times of humiliation she had accepted under the hands of the Valerious Family.
Oh yes, she would enjoy my little present. Although it already was lying there partially unwrapped, I was sure that Aleera would be extremely pleased.
Both of us would bathe in the sweet river of revenge. Gabriel and his brat were responsible for Marishka´s and Verona´s death, after all. Aleera still mourned the loss of her sisters in blood. I hoped to bring some joy into her mind by offering her a shared midnight snack...
