A rather nice little sketch. I had to make a quick browsing of the canon, and i found you very faithful to the attitude. This is a highly credible vision of the end of that culture. Stupidly squeaking themselves into oblivion like uncommonly daft mice. Others have commented on the writing so i won't go there. As a bunnycide, this was very nice.

Yeah, it was just one of those things that insisted on coming out, but which I really couldn't fully develop. Still, I thought the opening and closing scenes made it worth postingThe End of Pure England

Oh, Ouch!
I'm so sorry. I almost felt sorry for Draco (almost) A very bleak future, and a depressing future as well. Ron/Ginny? YECH!

::SNICKER:: I quite enjoyed this lightly fleshed out bunny. It seems to fit what we see in canon of pureblood attitudes and their ending their own culture seems quite in keeping with what could happen without a leavening of new blood and thinking (one can point to various companies and organizations where something similar has led to great falls).Author's response
Thanks! to me, the least likely part of the story was the Purebloods actually agreeing on a definition of 'pure-blood'The End of Pure England

There is just no helping some people. So stubborn and prideful that they refuse to see their own downfall until after it happened.
As for the Weasleys...yech. That's just gross.
The overall image of Draco kneeling to Harry was just perfect. Certainly more than made up for the telling, not showing of the story.
Good job.The End of Pure England

Hi DrT, I found your latest story and decided to take a look at your earlier works. Some of the descriptions of your works sound really interesting, but this was the first I chose to read.
Well, here's what I think:
I can well believe that people like Umbridge would be so stupid and cleanse the whole country of mud-bloods, half-bloods and half-breeds. Chucking both Harry and Hermione in Azkaban isn't all that surprising either.
I can only shake my head in wonder at the stupidity of the remaining 185 English wizards. Aside from the obvious fact, that you could never keep any infrastructure of a whole country alive with this few people, the worst is the missing genetic diversity to survive. I know that you need to maintain a group of at least 1,000 people in order to survive in the long term.
I'd like to believe - if the world of Harry Potter was real - that the upper crust, that remained in Wizarding England would not be so terminally stupid.Author's response
I have no doubts that the world they first tried for would be the goal of many of the 'pure' in canon. I also doubt if any definition of 'pure' would have given them 'better' results. Of course, I doubt they could have pulled it off in any eventThe End of Pure England

Ron and Ginny? UGH! to butcher a famous saying- with magic comes complacency, with complacency comes contempt and with contempt comes (in this case) inbreeding. The End of Pure England

"Be careful what you wish for...you might get it.
Kinda creepy with the "Molly Plan" to out breed everyone else into 'Purity' and the almost inevitable slide into degeneracy through isolation.
I liked how the Goblins worked things out in the end, legally and in strict accordance to signed contracts. It's not their fault that the Wizard's can't read and understand the contracts they signed.
Good One-Shot, could be fleshed out into a longer story, but stands on its own well enough."
I pretty much completely agree with this review, except to take a quote from Enda Krabapple and say "HAH!" those foolish Purebloods!!The End of Pure England

Um, I read all your stories & liked most of them. I have a request that you put your stories on the fanfiction.net site as well. It makes it easier to create PDFs of these stories in case these stories get deleted.
