I finally land after what seems like forever.
I'm in a blank, white room that has no boundary lines.
She's lying in a pool of blood.
"Gerard", she whispers. I'm in the blood- bathing in it almost. It's so beautiful.
"Gerard. Somebody's coming."
"What?"
"They're gonna get you." She's grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"Who is?"
"Dracs. They're here. They want you, Gerard. Keep running." She manically laughs. She's choking on her blood. They swarm around us, lapping up her blood. As they close in, they're biting at her ankles.
"Gerard. I'll never let them hurt. I promise." Her eyes begin to roll back.
"DON'T LEAVE ME! HELENA! DON'T GO!"
"Merci pour le venin." She's gone.
I pull to me. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" I pick up her lifeless body and carry her away.
As I walk, the world turns grey. It begins to rain.
