Prompt: Shiver
Pairing: Shelbin (Chris Sabin/Alex Shelley)

Chris felt his breath hitch in his throat as Alex’s voice, low and husky, purred in his ear. His body subsequently stiffened as a result, and it was truly a testament to the effect that his partner had on him, because they weren’t even touching and already Chris could feel his pants beginning to tent around his arising erection. He shivered at the feeling of Alex’s breath tickling his neck, but he made no attempt to move, and he remained silent as he waited for Alex to make his next move.

Chris supposed he should’ve seen this coming after what he’d done to Alex at the Ale House. Storm, Roode, and Eric Young had invited the Guns to tag along with them after the taping had ended, but Chris had been apprehensive at first. While he was pretty sure that James, Bobby, and Eric knew that he and Alex were together, the two of them had never actually shown any affection in public. Before, it hadn’t been a problem, as everyone had thought of the playful teasing they engaged in as just that: teasing. However, things were different now, and while Chris had always been able to exercise a great deal of self-control, especially under pressure, he didn’t know if he would be able to actually go out in public with Alex and refrain from touching him in an intimate manner. So, rather reluctantly, Alex had explained to James that he and Chris would be taking a rain check, and followed that up with a white lie about how Chris wasn’t feeling well.

The sound of the bottle of lube uncapping caused Chris to stiffen even more, which elicited a smirk from Alex as he looked over his shoulder at Chris.

“What’s wrong, Chris?” he questioned as he poured a generous amount onto his palm, before turning around completely to face his partner. “Don’t tell me you’re gonna be a girl about this.”

Sabin’s eyes blazed defiantly as he retorted,

“Who’s the one that’s been dancing around this for weeks?” Before Alex could even have a chance to respond, Sabin replied,

“Yeah. That’s what I thought. Chicken.”

Alex’s own eyes blazed at that comment, but not with anger. Chris recognized the look in them, as he’d grown accustomed to being on the receiving end of it over the past few months. He blushed despite the fact that he was familiar with the look, but managed a sheepish smile.

“Did you just call me a chicken?” Alex questioned, as he crawled up the length of the bed, propping his elbow up and staring at Sabin intently. There was a hint of amusement at the corner of his lips, despite the fact that Chris knew he was trying to act serious, and Chris couldn’t help but smile in spite of it.

“Yeah, I am, Shelley. What are you gonna do about it, huh?”

There was absolutely no hesitation or any nervousness as Alex closed the gap between them, his tongue sliding into Chris’ mouth as he pressed his chest against his partner’s.
