With regards to veganism...

So, the veganism thing... (BTW someone posted something similar on the MCR site so if this sounds familiar, sorry). If you can get the supplements you need and stuff it's fine, but are you trying to go totally animal product free or is it just edible things? Because, unfortunately, it's EXTREMELY hard to get rid of all animal products in your life.Author's response
I think it'd be much easier to just not eat animal products and to use products that aren't tested on animals and stuff :)With regards to veganism...

Hey so I'm a vegan and have been for about half a year- but I've been veggie for around two
First of all awesome choice just be prepared people ill want to know why and exactly why you don't eat meat and why you're so stupid and -ugh so first off just ignore people that look down on your choice they can't help being ignorant to people that like to live a little differently and who don't like putting dead flesh in their mouths
Secondly- make sure you eat a lot, it's easy to get ill without all the nutrients meat and dairy give your body. Good substitutes are
- Cashew nuts
- penut butter
- Spinach
- Soya milk (Alpro soya I find tastes the best)
- Chickpeas
- some quarn products (but be warned some contain egg- always check the pack)
I would also recommend taking vitamins- ones that offer good oils and other sciency words that I forget
Thirdly- Oreos are vegan. Awesome right?
Fourth- things you may not realise are not vegan but actually have animals in - white sugar, gummy sweets, some quorn stuff, some bread (check the ingredients) and a lot of pasta is made with egg (and noodles) but you can find it without too!
Fifth- don't be afraid to ask about things being vegan, better to be safe than sorry
Sixth- bring a packed lunch to school- canteens suck
That's all I can think of for now, but I may come back with the links to some good vegan blogs I follow once I can get on tumblr C:
Oh and always check the free from sections in super markets- they have vegan chocolate :D

Thank you for the advice :D
So, I'm prepared for all the rubbish questions- if someone asks me something stupid, I reply in kind... I'm on summer for three months at the moment though, so I'm save on that one :)
Second- I love peanut butter :O There is quite literally three tubs of it in my pantry :L As for cashew nuts, I've had them before, they're nice... and that's about all I've had off that list... good thing I like trying new things :)
I think that I need to get B12 supplements, Iodine tablets, Omega 3 tablets and... well, I'll find out xD I know a vegetarian girl, and she's said in class before that she takes supplements, so I'm sure she'll know something!
Oreos!? :D I

Okay, CatscanFlyy covered it.
I'm a vegetarian. When I first decided I was going to stick to it and not do as I had before- go a week or so before caving- it was very difficult to say the least. But you eventually get to the point where you just don't crave meat anymore.
Vitamins are a necessity for me because I don't eat bread at all, nuts rarely, and very little dairy. Which, as I've been multiple times, is apparently ignorant.
Ignorant is probably the biggest name I've been called. Many people wont share the same views as you on topics like this and it's to be expected. Some of us see a suffered, slaughtered cow and not a delicious, juicy, hamburger.
If you want to cut all animal products completely the biggest thing I can say is: Check the ingredients! There are many things I have found to contain animal products that I would never have thought to contain them.
Like I said, CatscanFlyy said about everything already. :3

Thank you for telling me :) I kind of think the hardest part will be sausages, that and turkey is the only meat I genuinely like, I actually don't eat much beef, red meat or lamb (chops and such) as it is...
Thanks for the warning on checking labels, I usually look at them only if I'm bored, so that's something I need to remember :3

I'm not even vegan or vegitarian. XD and sorry if I sounded rude the first time.Author's response
heheh naw, you didn't :) I just kind of want to switch because there was this ad on fb at the side and it had Frank on it, and it said "Why does Frank do it?"
"Why does Frank from My Chemical Romance leave meat off his plate? See the shocking reason" and I've seen the ad before with your one from glee on it, but this time I clicked on it and the video... well, I kind of knew some of the stuff it said and showed, but I learned some too, and lets just say it kind of turned me off meat, eggs and dairy all in eleven minutes...With regards to veganism...

See, I live next to a butcher and I know what happens, and I know it should bother me but it doesn't for some reason.Author's response
I kind of see where you're coming from, blood doesnt bother me, so... It wasnt hard for me to watch on that sense, id still be able to eat the meat, but i dont want to because of how cruel i find it... If that makes sense :L
