I can see several different ways to develop this; can't wait to see which direction you take. I hope you show dumbles and the Dursleys!Author's response
Thank you! I'm glad you like it so far. And don't worry--the Dursleys will definitely get their asses handed to them. =DThe Life Bond

Finally! Some responsable adults. What the hell are they doing in the potterverse? I actually think that as in canon Hermione seemingly can't wait to get away from her parents the Grangers aren't exactly Ozzie and Harriet.Author's response
I have absolutely no clue. But, I always thought the Grangers must have had a damn good excuse not to pull Hermione out of Hogwarts. I was more than happy to provide one. =)
The adults truly are bonkers in Potterverse. It's a great series, but there are so many holes and serious flaws in character that make me absolutely love fanfiction.
As for Hermione in canon, well, I honestly don't know what to think. She seemed to show some remorse when she had to memory charm them, but other times, she WAS more concerned with Harry and Ron. I mean, she sees the guys for about three-quarters of the year and only gets the summer to spend time with her parents. Writing letters to her friends should have sufficed.
Just my opinion, of course. =)The Life Bond

yeah about your response for the Dursley's. However that brings up a whole other slew of issues for Dumbledore, Harry Hermione and her parents I should think. Awaiting more.Author's response
Oh, it definitely will. Nothing is ever so simple in Harry's life--not for a while, at least. The Life Bond

Well, the meeting with Hermione's parents went reasonably well. I seriously doubt the meeting with Vernon & Petunia will go anywhere near as well (I can easily seeing them saying something that brings down the wards) and I suspect Hermione's parents may end up having an adopted son, too. One small note, kudos for not making the Granger's first names Dan and Emma as it got to be way too common for a while there.Author's response
Though they're not in the series, I always felt that Hermione's parents would be more rational than the Dursleys.
The Dursleys--yeah, it's not going to go nearly as smoothly as the meeting with the Grangers had gone. Oh, well. They deserve a lifetime of misery for how horrible they were to Harry.
As for the Grangers' names. LOL, no lie, I was going to use Dan and Emma. Then I thought, "Well, Hermione's middle name is Jane. Let's use that as her mother's first name." And then I was watching this old cartoon called Christopher Crocodile and His Wonderful World, and two of the main characters are a pair of twins named Alex and Jane. It stuck, I suppose. XD

The language could have used some stronger adjectives, other than that i would love to see where this story goes.
Pull up an online thesaurus and i think your writing would be much improvedAuthor's response
Thanks for the advice! I'll try to improve on that. =)The Life Bond

I wish you would have given the Grangers the names that are mostly used in fanfiction. Dan and Emma. Takes awhile to figure out who you are talking about. Good story though.Author's response
While Dan and Emma are cute, they get boring after a while. The names are fanon, not canon, so I see no reason why I should go with that cliche when I'm already trying to take the cliche of bonding stories and turn it into something knew. And I don't think it should be too confusing since I introduced Alex and Jane as Hermione's parents in the very beginning of the chapter.
But I digress. Thanks for the review. The Life Bond

I must say about time for Hermione parents to get a say, it is one of many problems I have with the canon. As for the name the mother makes sences and the father is just as good. Can not wait to see what next.Author's response
Thanks! I had hoped not to make them super parents, but at the same time actually give them a voice.
