Hey guys so I know I ended the last story very crappy. And I kind of didn’t like that chapter; I thought Katara and Zuko just got together too quickly for me. But I hope someone liked it and I hope this chapter is better and full of developed like-ing (?) for Zuko and Katara.

Katara was sore, she couldn’t open her eyes at all, and the healers had asked her not to anyways, she was glad of that, they said she needed rest, and tons of it. They said she was almost out of her life source, she didn’t remember anything about coming back through the light. She remembered Aang, she remember the warmth she felt coming back to the light but after that…nothing. The nurses wouldn’t tell her what had happened, no matter how she begged. Which wasn’t very impressive anyways, she was too weak to even finish a few sentences. She asked about Zuko, another thing she barley remembered was if he had won the fight. Was he okay? The healers said he was fine and Azula was taken into custody. .
“But what happened?” she had tried to yell she was so frustrated, but it ended out coming out like a broken whisper that come out like “Fut faht bapend” but mumbled and broken. Katara opened her eyes hours ago very late at night for only a few seconds, she was sure that she saw the Fire bender at the side of her bed, his head resting on her mattress near her hand. Which was gripped by his own, and THAT she had not mistaken. She had wanted to take her hand away and place it on his head to wake him up, but she had to close her eyes she was so weak. The leader of the healers, whose name escaped Katara’s mind since she had never asked in the first place, laced her hand on Katara’s forehead.
“Poor child, so, so weak. We’ll have you fixed up soon.” Katara could feel power and warmth flowing threw her, and her back arched in response to the over whelming power pulsing threw her “Ladies.” She called to them to hold her down so she wouldn’t hurt her back, when she was going through the healing process. Katara tried to scream out in pain, and at first she did when the girl and women cam and held down her limbs and torso Hi guys so I know I ended the last story very crappy. Katara tried to scream out in pain, and at first she did when the girl and women cam and held down her limbs and torso, hot rocks were thrown on her stomach and she screamed so loud that she was crying. She could FEEL the tears though, meaning that it was working, she was healing. She heard the women who were holding her down gasp and almost slip. She felt someone gripping her left hand, the hand was so warm...so non-familiar to her touch, palms so rough, the hand that held her right hand was rough as well but familiar to her, from holding the booma range that she had made fun of when they were younger, the hand that held the sword that he swung no longer as a child but as a warrior. Her brother held her hand and she now knew because her eyes were opened and still streaming tears, but as were Sokka's as he dropped down into her arms and hugged his younger sibling.
"Sokka..." she mumbled as her voice broke. She looked at the man holding her left hand, the new Fire Lord was standing there looking at her with the golden eyes that had hurt her so badly when Aang had died. But after she saw Aang she knew that it was destiny. If he hadn't died Katara would have in his place. She wished she had in fact...but now...looking at Zuko and holding her brother...she was glad she listened to Aang. Aang had said before she left...she tried to remember...something about Zuko, she would remember she had to. It was important and she wouuld tell him at some point.
"I thought you were gone..." Sokka said his voice cracking on the word "gone"
"Im okay..." she said but the healing wasn't done and June made Sokka sit up "Now that your concuss enough, this is going to hurt." she placed her thumb in the center of Katara's head and let power run threw her once more and the first thing that Katara screamed was Aang's name. "Aang..." she whispered when the healer was finally threw with her and walked out of the room saying that no one could hug her. "Why did you do this?
"She understood why he did but wished with all her heart that he was alive and she was dead. Zuko hadnt taken his eyes off her since he entered the room and it was starting to make her a little uncomfortable.
"So...what happen?" sokka asked "Not to you...to Aang?" Katara wasn't going to answer, and Zuko seemed to know this and took a deep breath and for the first time released Katara's hand and gazed out the window.
"He saved us." he said "When we showed up he had gotten hit-"
"That wasn't what happened..." Toph's whisper silently filled the room "He got hit but he was already dead... he had tried to take your fathers bending away from him...he failed." Toph looked so beat up, they couldnt heal Katara with so much power and everyone else. Suki was behind her, Katara couldnt help but release more tears.
"I died when I got hit with lightning and I saw Aang...he gave me life again saying that this was destiny." she said "He said if he lived I wouldn't be here anymore..." she said the her eyes squeezed her eyes shut and she spilled her guts. "I wouldn't rather die than know it was my life that killed him and I want to die and bring him back. I don't want to be here, but I am and I hate it!" she was yelling and crying.
Zuko didnt care what June had said he sat on his bed that Katara had stolen from him for almost a week, he huddled Katara in his arms and held her close and her hands went from her face to his chest and she destroyed his new robe with tears. Zuko bite his lip and just held her, he had felt like this with his mother, why couldn't it had been him he had asked that question so many times...
"Katara we love you...I-Aang loved you and he still does, he gave up everything for you, and you feel like you have nothing to give back to him, nothing that could match up to what he gave for you...iu knpw how you feel, my mother did the same thing..i have no idea where she is...it will hurt at first...but it will get better, you wont be fully healed but...it wont hurt so much." Katara slide her hands around his waist and placed her face toward the window and Zuko rested his warm cheek on her head and stared at the sun that was now retreating i=back into the sky. "Aang did this for a reason-"
"For me...he said im suppose to be here for someone I dont remember who..."
"Well...im glad he did, and so are we all." he stood up and looked down at her and her big blue eyes. "Now im going to my guest room to get some sleep, good night." he said
"Good night." she said.
"Oh wait." he said "How much do you remember?" Katara shook her head
"Nothing." sh said
