You told me you loved me,
I thought you cared,
You said you needed me,
My broken heart is proof of your lies
Why do I need to keep hanging around this door?
The one to my heart that I can't open
You still hold the key

I sighed and turned off my radio. Yes it was true. I, Hermione Jane Granger, was dumped. Okay so maybe Ron and mine's relationship wasn't the best thing on the planet but it still hurt. My cell phone started to buzz on my desk.

"Hello" I said
" Hi Hermione dear, I would have yelled for you but there's company in the living room waiting for us. So would you be a dear and change out of your pj's and come down?" My mother asked.

"Yes mom I'll be there in a second." I responded bored.

"Thank you darling."

I hung up the phone and went into my closet to pick out a skirt and shirt. The skirt was red and pink layered and went just above my knees. My shirt was a matching pink and tied at the side. I put on some heels and earrings. I combed my hair and put on a tiny touch of lip-gloss. Finally ok with my appearance I started down stairs.

Ok I know what you're thinking. Hermione, the bookworm, was wearing make up and a skirt. But this summer I grew up more. I felt more like a women. The night at the department of Mysteries taught me a few things. One of them was life was too short to be buried in my books all of the time.

I walked into the sitting room where I knew all of our guest sat before dinner. Before I reached the door I put on my sweetest smile I could and held my self up a little higher. When I open the door I got the biggest shock of my life.

There sitting on my couch was none other than Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. But that's not what caught my attention. Oh no, the blonde haired boy sitting next to Narssica caught my attention. What in the world was MALFOY doing at MY HOUSE????????

My smile faltered for only a minute before I felt my mother's eyes on my back. I put my smile back on although it was more strained. I quickly crossed over to the empty seat next to my mother and sat down, holding my self more straight than usual.

"Now, Hermione dear, you are probably wondering who these people are. They are old family friends of ours. This is Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. This is there son, Draco. He also attends Hogwarts." My father started.

I was taken a back. How did my parents know about the Malfoy? They couldn't know about them. I never talked about Draco... I mean Malfoy. (Did I just call him Draco?) The Malfoy's would never be friends with muggles.

"You see dear," My mother said. "We aren't really muggles. We're wizards. We had to go into hiding before your young friend Harry stopped He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Lucius here was kind enough to save us and he only asked for one thing in return. That our first daughter would be betrothed to his son." My mother finished.

My head was rushing. She wouldn't be talking about me marring Malfoy could she?

"Now, we know this might come to a shock to you. But you have been engaged to Draco and you two will be living with each other at Malfoy Manor starting tomorrow."

I stood up and walked out of my house. I ran out to the tennis courts in our back yard. I walked into the changing house and got on some shorts and a shirt. I picked up my racquet and started hitting balls across the court. Every time I saw a ball I imagined Draco's face and the sexy smirk he would give off and I would hit the ball harder. Wait. Did I just call something about that Ferret sexy??? The next ball came at me and I had to duck to miss it.

"Watch it Granger, We wouldn't want you getting hurt now would we?"
