It was beginning to get cloudy and windy. The air had a very cool crisp feel to it causing me to get goose bumps. I carried the semi- heavy boxes to the truck. It was at least 3:30 in the afternoon. The streets were empty and the obvious silence made me feel a little paranoid. “Hey, wanna get some burgers or something,” asked Radziel reaching for his keys.’ Uh, yeah that’ll be fine,” I said snapping out of my daze. “You o.k.,” asked Radziel. ”Yeah, I’m just cold, ”I said. Radziel started up the truck and reached for the heater. I got in and rubbed my arms trying to get warm. We drove off and went to a stand alone burger joint across from the main district. “What’ll you have,” asked Radziel.”Just the usual burger and fries. I just sipped on my milkshake and decided to take what weapons I could carry .Of a sudden I began to get a sharp pain in my stomach. I did not know why or how it came about suddenly. I thought maybe it was from the burger or the milkshake. The milk may have not been fresh or the meat. But this type of pain did not feel like a regular stomachache. I walked up the drive way and I had a feeling something was behind me. I turned around and I dropped all the items in my hands. I was dumbstruck and in utter shock. There before me I saw a male who stood the same height as the other males in the house. His skin was the palest of the pale. His eyes were completely black just like Balthazar’s meaning that he was not human. I notice that his shirt was made out of knives. It was the freakiest thing I ever seen in my life. He stood there as still as the trees.” Hello, can I come in please,” he said in a plain monotonous voice without an expression. I was so frightened I could not even scream for help. My initial reaction was to reach for my glock. Then I notice his expression changed to a blank stare to a grimace.” Don’t think about trying to harm me,” he said in a monotonous voice. It was like he knew what I was thinking before I could make a move. My fingers fidget at the handle of my glock but as soon as I could get a good grip two very large strong arms grabbed me from behind. I shrieked out with my heart racing as if it was going to come out of my chest. Radziel came out of nowhere landing a very fierce punch to the unknown demon male’s face. He tilted over a little like a fallen tree and then he quickly jumped up trying to uppercut Radziel. Radziel dodged it and tackled him. The thing shrieked loudly causing my ears to ring. Radziel and the demon male fought fiercely landing punches and kicks that sounding like hard blows to steel causing vibrating echoes. I watched as Radziel wrestled and scuffle with the thing until it just shrieked again and ran off with inhuman speed. I sat there completely frighten and trying to catch my breath. Everything happened so quickly I could not muster anything to say. I stood there and caught my breath and was able to gather my senses again. I looked up to the person who was holding me and was shocked to see that it was Zachariel of all people or supes. He just stared back at me without any compassion in his eyes. Just a cold stern stare like he always give me. I looked back and saw Radziel walking back towards us. “Why didn’t you have your sword on you? You should have finished him,” said Zachariel angrily. Radziel stared back at him with a frown. “Why didn’t you help me? You could have easily toss me one of the swords,” said Radziel. “Don’t you carry some type of knife or concealed weapon on you? And why did you leave her alone? You know they are lurking more around here,” said Zachariel still holding me in a strong embrace. “ I know that so why didn’t you help,”Radziel shouted. “I think I did enough. You are irresponsible Radziel,”said Zachariel finally loosening his grip around my waist and walking away.” And you know nothing about team work. All you do is judge,” said Radziel embracing me and kissing my forehead.” You alright,” asked Radziel.’Yeah, im fine,” I said hugging him back.” Just go inside I’ll get the stuff. I’m so sorry. I should have not let you out of my sight,” he said hugging me tighter.” No it’s alright you can’t be watching me 24-7,” I said reassuring him.Radziel gave me one last kiss while holding tightly in his arms before letting me go.”Hey, what’s going on out here,” said Larry and Brandon coming out of the house. “One of those damn cearb bastards tried to attack Gemma,”said Radziel.”Sht. As I walked inside I saw Paul perched over a chair like a bird reading a book and Balthazar laying on the couch like usual with his arm around a scantily clad female sleeping on top of him. It was Michelle. I guess she and Balthazar are now officially a couple. Larry walked in behind me.” Balthazar are you sleeping on my jacket again,” shouted Larry holding two of the Uzis in his arms.”Yeah,maybe,”said Balthazar with his eyes still closed.” Get up you are going to wrinkle it,” said Larry. “It’s a damn jacket who cares if it wrinkles. If you don’t want no one sleeping on it then move it. Put it away”
said Balthazar. “You lazy bastard get off of my jacket,” said Larry placing the Uzis on the floor walking over to Balthazar. “Get up” he said lightly kicking him on the shoulder.” Cut it out Larry im trying to sleep,” said Balthazar. Paul just kept on reading his book tuning out the spat of his two roommates.
