Fine chapter. Too bad Harry wasn't keeping watch on Lucius. Vaporizing redoubt when full of death eaters would have solved a lot of problems. Thanks for writing. W.Author's response
Heya Wolf!
Thanks. Lucy will fall on his own. While he is up to his usual antics, there will be a reckoning. Besides, without problems this wouldn’t be much of a story.
As for the redoubt becoming the test bed for a new kind of high explosive…nobody knows where it is. Not even Harry.

I feel sorry for this Rita.
Dumbledore has a lot of humiliation in store for him. He has no idea of the spaceship Harry has and its abilities.
Merlin's strength. Merlin comes in second compared to Gwion Bach. IIRC Bach once threatened a kingdom by dropping two tornadoes and holding them in place. Bach also has the ability to turn into any animal and also some inanimite objects. He's not a pureblood, a half-blood, or a muggleborn. He gained his powers via a potion. Oh? I almost forgot. Gwion Bach is the birth name of Taliesn. He's the one who taught Merlin magic and come stories have Taliesn raising Merlin.
In a lot of stories, Merlin's father was a demon. Which explains bach's presence.
Looks like Harry is going to have tosave Dobby again.
Snape has just damned himself. Lucius' plan might do something, he won't live to regret. Hello, British military. It's nice of you to put a bazooka shell through Malfoy's head.Author's response
Heya Tom.
Rita: I don’t, not really. She is supposed to be an adult. Anyway, I put that in as a possible explanation for her vindiction.
Dumbledore will have his share of humiliation, but now that he’s infected himself, he’s pretty much a side issue. The last part will have his comeuppance.
Merlin’s strength, I’m going by the WW’s near deification of Merlin. Historically (or literarily) he may not have been all that powerful, but the British wizards seem to consider him to be the origin of wizarding kind.
I’m going by the story where his mother was a human and Maab was his ‘other mother’.
Dobby: He will.
As you’ve probably guessed, I don’t like Snape. Bazooka? I didn’t know those were still around. However, both Lucius and Snape will be got.A THOUSAND YEARS

I thot this chapter was fantastic. I like the back story you did for Mungus and Reta. I wonder if you could have more that just his former wife be with him this time around.Author's response
Heya ralphmullins.
Thank you. I’ve long wondered why Rita takes such a vicious pleasure from tweaking Dumbledore. This might be an answer. As for Dung, in book five, the portraits are commenting on how he did a deal with the Ministry. That means he has to be a pureblood, as the bigots in the Ministry would never deal with a half blood or lesser class. If he’s a pureblood, why did he start stealing? If Arthur Weasley could get a department, even the Misuse office, Dung should have been able to swing something of the like.
Former Wife: Not in this fic. They were both mentioned only en passant, however, Rita may make another appearance or two.

The old keep your friends close and enemies closer trick. Wouldn't trust Rufus as far as one could throw Dumbles. No wonder Rita is such a bitch if Dumbles did that to her. Hope she gets some vengeance on him. Hope Amelia keeps a close eye on Rufus. He always was a self-centred bigot and needs to be controlled. Harry is going to have to use his power to help Frank & Alice and hopefully he can help Dobby out of the Malfoy service. Good one. Cheers.
ZAuthor's response
Heya Z!
Yepper. Sun Tsu.
As I indicated, I don’t like the character. In my opinion, he’s a dirty cop.
Rita: While there’s nothing in canon to support it, there had to have been a reason she became such a vindictive bitch, and given the character I’ve developed for him in this fic, that’s well within his character. Mundungus couldn’t have started out as a petty crook.
Frank and Alice. More than Harry. ‘Mione is the culmination of computer evolution …900 years in the future. It will be her dedication and research that provides their cure.
Dobby: He will, and while he’s at it he’ll enlist the little lunatic in his search and destroy mission. (Or maybe it’s the other way around.)
Until next time…

Lupin neck like me, I found a coward, with all that crying I'm a werewolf so I have to suffer, it was pretty bad also a friend of the potter and siriusAuthor's response
Heya makarva.
From one point of view, yes. From the other, however, he was as much a pawn as Sirius and Harry. In this story, he has been treated as a pariah for most of his life because he had the misfortune of being infected with an incurable disease by a psychotic animal. More than that, he was told by someone he trusted implicitly, the very same somebody who allowed him to attend school when nobody else would have, that Sirius was the secret keeper. I’ll go into that in a later chapter.

Nice chapter. Obviously you are setting up a lot of stuff happening in future chapters and making us readers want even more. You of course succeeded. I like your back story of Skeeter, even though it was pretty dark. It goes to show that Dumbledore really is a cause of a LOT of things going wrong. We know he is a wizarding supremacist (HP Wiki "Pure-Blood Supremacy" even confirms this) when he was younger, and that his sister's death changed him. However, we also know that he resented his sister from keeping him from exploring the world upon his mother's death. Then the duel between Grindelwald, his brother, and himself happened that caused Ariana's death. Did he really change, or did he realize that being a known supremacist would hinder the God image he wanted for himself? Maybe this can be a possible back story for him in your fic?
Anyway, I am greatly looking forward to more!Author's response
Heya Slayer!
Thank you! I have a few things set up, but I’ll be moving from scene to scene. Next up will be Harry, Some Hermione, and a Sirius cameo, and possibly the scene with Sirius and Remus, but I haven’t decided.
All very good questions.
Rita’s potential back-story has been niggling at my mind for a long time. Why would she be so anxious to hammer Dumbledore? Even Harry didn’t rate so high, until Fudge got involved. On the other hand, she considered Hermione a stunningly pretty muggleborn until Hermione told her off for her article about Hagrid. Then, she was a plain but ambitious mudblood (unstated) who would use lust potions…simply because Hermione pissed her off.
With the Dumbledore I’ve created, here, I can see how he’d do such a despicable thing as if not actually raping, at least -coercing- a student into sexual relations with him.
I was unaware of the article in Wiki, however, due to my training, I’ve seen Dumbledore’s actions as ‘suspicious’ for a long while. (One of the best stories to illustrate this idea is ‘The Pureblood Conspiracy’ by Nom9de9plume, where the question is raised; why did Bellatrix only stun Sirius while she was sending lethal spells at everyone else?)
The problem is, as someone said; “Rowling left us with a half-finished chess game.” There was no completion anywhere. Was Dumbledore a delusional madman, or a benevolent leader who simply trusted the wrong people? There are quite a few things in all the books that lead the reader to the former.
Dumbledore’s back-story will only be touched on lightly, and only inasmuch as it affected canon. However, your supposition about Dumbledore’s image and motives, is an intriguing one…
More is on the way.

Interesting story, I enjoyed reading it. Just one small fact for you, canon Dumbledore is a half blood BTW, his mother Kendra was Muggle born making Harry, Albus and Tom the top three Half blood power houses in the WW.Author's response
Heya michae1ange1o.
Thank you. I’m glad you’re enjoying the ride.
I didn’t know that! Nor, I suspect, did the British Wizarding World. Certainly nothing I recall from canon indicated that. (Just as until Book Sux, part 1, nothing in canon suggested that Snape was anything but a pureblood bigot.)

Hmm, the only problem I really saw was in the last chapter, when Amelia had to release the 'former' DE's.
I didn't buy it for the simple fact she'd JUST got done saying and proving Bagnold had accepted bribes from those same DE's and DD was implicated as well.
There's no reason at all they couldn't be held until Bagnold was tried, just to fully prove the bribery.
That would allow the 'former' DE's to be tried, seeing as they WEREN'T before, for the original crimes, or at the least the bribery charges.
So I didn't really get that part, it felt like you throwing up extra 'issues' to make things not so easy, rather than something that would really happen.
It's shown the Minister has the power to keep them locked up, in this case for valid reason, not just made up bullshit.Author's response
As I’ve said before, Even with Amelia in the drivers seat, the WW is still in the hands of the Purebloods. Moreover, ‘Common knowledge’ in a closed-minded society such as the WW, would be a powerful influence. For instance, while ‘everybody knows’ the Malfoys are guilty as sin, everybody also knows Bagnold handed him and the wealthier Deez a get out of jail free card. (I wonder how much Dumbledore had to do with that?)
The reason they couldn’t be held for trial is again, Habeas Corpus. There must be sufficient evidence a crime has been committed. While Habeas Corpus s a cornerstone of American law, it wasn’t’ invented here. The Magna Charta is the basis for Habeas Corpus. As for Lucy and Co., I’m sure they’ve taken the necessary steps to prevent that information from ever reaching the light of day. On the other hand, I have a setup for them in December (figurative) that they can’t talk (or more importantly -bribe-) their way out of.
Malfoy was held for drawing his wand in a session of the Wizengamot. If it had been an American court, he’d likely have been shot. The others were removed as a precautionary measure, and you’re right. I didn’t think that one through enough. She had no real justification for jailing them. My bad.
