What type of schizophrenia does Alvin have?Author's response
I commend you on the good question.
I based it on Auditory Schizophrenia, but I did piss-all on research because I'm lazy and I wanted to work on other things, to be truthful.131 Night End

Ha ha, I was wondering because it didn't seem like he was paranoid or catatonic (those are the two I remember and I'm too lazy to reach down and pick up my BioPsych textbook). I'm pretty anal about how psychological orders and their treatment are portrayed.Author's response
Keep in mind he's pretty heavily medicated by some sort of unnamed 1920's antipsychotic that turns his tongue blue. If you're gonna gun for a plot hole, go for the medication. I'll try and work on his portrayal for later.131 Night End

Eh, since it's (I'm assuming) not this universe I'm not gonna jump all over your ass about it. Your world, your rules.Author's response
Aww thanks. But seriously, I'll try to fix Alvin.131 Night End

If it'll make you feel better, go on ahead. Anyways, its a fairly good story. Not "OMG this is the best story ever!", but if this was a book I'd probably buy it. Since I tend to be overly critical of plot and characterization as well as style, that's a compliment. :) I've become a bit of a bitch in my old age, but, I like you and you know how to pace a story and characterize and you seem to have a good style and nice syntax.Author's response
I am seventeen. Don't even TALK to me about old age. :)
I was pretty much like, "What if I wrote a story about siblings who hunt monsters? But it would be an alternate universe, so I don't have to worry about real events. And what if it was 1923? And the universe was full of book people that I love?"
So this entire story is basically stupid self-indulgence, but whatever, a few people like it.
BUT KAYLEE FRIGGIN GOD I CANNOT WRITE HER MOST DAYS SHE IS SO PICKY AND I CAN'T GET ANYTHING RIGHT SHE'S A MARY-SUE HALF THE TIME AND A HARPY THE REST OF THE TIME.
And I sort of half to pace the story the way it is because I've shoehorned so much detail in there it is quite literally the only thing to do.
And thank you. So much. Compliments. Are so nice. :D131 Night End

I'm 19. I have you beat. I rather like Kaylee. I don't even really know why. I just do. Alvin, too. I remember reading a story called Cryptids about siblings (one male, one female and I believe they were twins) who went hunting for things like Bigfoot, and their parents had died doing the same thing. Good book. Thought some of the very basic similarities between Cryptids and your story were somewhat amusing. You have a more creative approach, though.
I'm rather long-winded sometimes. If its bothering you, please say so.Author's response
I have actually never heard of this Cryptids book. I took the premise from the Montrumologist series and the Book Character thing from a novel called the Bookman.
And things just happen because of who they are and who they know.131 Night End

Ice never heard of those. I'll check them out. Nice talking to you, but I have things to do. I will review shin, though.Author's response
Thank you. I have things to do too. We're like twins!
