I do not own Doctor Who or anything related to it. This is just a lemon fan fiction for the reader to enjoy. If you do not like Doctor Who or how I portray the characters, then back out of reading now. Nope? You've been warned. Enjoy!

Chapter Four : The Wild Frontier

The night before had been a very peaceful one for the women companions. After their night of a very eventful sexual encounter, the four women slept soundly. River was the first one up and in the huge shower that was in the second corridor of many within her T.A.R.D.I.S. When the other three got up, she called for them into the shower. Each one of them would have their own stall to shower in if they didn't want to share.

"I was thinking," River started, "it would be pretty nice to visit the Wild West since I have to visit someone in America today." She smiled shyly knowing full well that it would be her lover, the Doctor.

Martha sighed, "Oh yeah, I'll just grab my ten-gallon hat and mosey on down there," she said trying to be funny.

"They don't actually talk that way, y'know," Amy retorted.

"Well, I thought they did, since I really don't know anything other than what I read in the tabloids about shows across the pond," Martha responded.

"Oh girls, now don't get in a fight again or I might have to lick you both," Rose said laughing.

"Don't offer if you aren't going to do it," Amy said.

River couldn't help but sigh hearing the three of them becoming closer with each other. She grabbed a towel and ran her fingers through her hair, shaking the excess water loose, her curls returning to their normal bounce. River knew that within time they would all have to go back to their normal lives and lives with the Doctor. She finished drying herself off and grabbed her black jeans, white shirt and denim jacket. She made her way to the console of the time machine flipping through her Time Journal that she kept alongside her lover. She knew that the time that she had to appear at first would be the last time she saw him for a long time. Her eyes began to tear up thinking about it.

The other three showed up and were laughing together, making River try to hide the fact she had just been emotional.

"Where are we off to, River?" Amy asked her daughter.

"Oh, well I have to stop off in Utah 2011 before we get going to California, home of the gold rush," River said to them.

"Oh that's good. I knew I should have gotten the spurs," Martha said looking at her boots.

All of them laughed at her comment before River flipped a few levers sending them through the space-time continuum.

When they arrived in Utah 2011, River opened the door of her T.A.R.D.I.S.. "I'll be back before you know it. Don't mess with anything in there while I'm gone."

"Alright, River," Rose started. When River was out of sight, she became mischievious, "Let's go downstairs and see what we can find in her secret drawers." The women all winked at each other.

"Oh but remember, 'spoilers'," Martha said, causing the other two to laugh.

Meanwhile...

River had stepped out into a desert like area and heard the Doctor spouting off to her mother and father. She saw he was wearing a stetson and pulled out her saber pistol. She fired off a shot sending the hat flying before she held the barrel up to her lips blowing the tip. "Here's the start of a bad memory," she thought to herself before going with the three of them to Lake Silencio.

Back in the T.A.R.D.I.S. with the Three Amigas...

"Ohhh look what I found," Martha said holding up a huge black dildo. She had never seen anything that big before in her life.

"Oh god, my daughter is such a slut," Amy giggled before finishing looking through her daughter's things.

"That's not the only thing that's weird here," Rose pulled a Dalek eyestalk out of another dresser and held it up to her forehead. "I am here to command the world as the leader of the Daleks," she said mocking the way the alien species spoke.

Amy smirked slightly, "You know that those things are actually still alive after being severed, so it could attach to your head."

Rose yelped throwing it on the floor making the other two laugh. "Oh, ha ha, very funny, Amy." She was a bit hurt by the joking at her, but she liked it all the same. Since the Doctor had to go on his mission without telling her what it was, she had been quite alone and it was good to have friends that could understand her feelings for the Doctor as well as how adventurous it was to be with him.

The door of the T.A.R.D.I.S. opened after a few hours and they all scurried to put the things away.

"Oh shit, she's coming," Amy said in a hurried whisper. They shoved things back into drawers that they knew they didn't belong in, so it was only a matter of time that they would be found out that they had snooped.

River walked into the room they were in wiping tears from her eyes, "What were you guys doing?" she asked them.

"Oh nothing at all," Rose started sounding like a dalek to which Martha pushed her arm motioning for her to hush.

"Oh, that's good," River said seeming downhearted.

"What's wrong, River," Amy asked her, taking her into her arms.

"Spoilers, mother.. Spoilers." she responded with a small smile giving them reassurance that it was alright. She knew that it would be alright, it was just sad at this point. "Well, are you all ready to get going to the Gold Rush?!"

"Yes!" they all said in unison.

They rushed to the mainframe of the T.A.R.D.I.S. and River flipped a few levers and said, "Well, here we go to 1849!" The machine made a large wooshing sound and whirred into action, throwing them back against the railing, laughing.

The T.A.R.D.I.S. soon stopped and all four of them rushed to the door of the time machine. They looked outside and it was right in the middle of Columbia, California. "Welcome, companions of the Doctor, to the California Gold Rush!" River said with a bright smile.

They all three looked a bit underdressed with the way the people of this time were looking.

"I thought it was Gold Rush time," Amy questioned. "It looks nothing more than just a run down town."

"I was thinking the same," Rose said looking around.

River sighed not wanting to tell them the reason why they were here. "Well, I wasn't wanting to tell you this, but I really needed your help finding an artifact dropped here by the Daleks during this time."

"Is it another ey--" Martha started before being punched in the arm by Rose. Rose mouthed the word 'Payback' to her making Martha squint at her.

River looked at them both and wondered what the heck they had done, but figured it was something they weren't supposed to be in but let it slide this time. "It's a command nodule from one of their ships and it is completely made of gold and we must get it before the people of this town do, thus why we arrived the year before the gold rush here in this town. Elsewhere it is going on."

Amy rolled her eyes, "I should have just waited for him to come back, now I'm on a treasure trip with my daughter."

"Oh mummy dear, not having fun," River said gripping her mother's ass.

Amy yelped at the sudden grasp from her daughter, "Oh I'm having fun alright.." she said correcting herself.

Martha and Rose giggled in delight when they saw how River had made Amy straighten up with just a grip of her ass. Amy glared at the two of them making them whistle as if nothing ever happened.

They walked for what seemed like forever before coming up to a giant crater in the middle of the town. "This is where we start," River said bringing out her sonic screwdriver.

The other three pulled theirs out as well, "Which setting," Amy asked.

"Turn the dial 3/4 then back a full turn," River responded.

All of their sonic screwdrivers began whirring, drawing attention to them. "This isn't the smartest thing to do right now," Martha said speaking of the audience they were drawing to them.

River stopped for a moment and looked at the crowd gathering around them. "Folks, come with me over here while my fellow Archaeologists continue their work searching for a very special artifact." River started leading them away when one man spoke up, "Is it from that giant dohickey that fell last week?"

River put her hand up to her forehead before continuing, "No sir, it is from the University of Massachusetts, it was lost here about 3 months ago by a student and we're having to find it." She wasn't sure if they would believe it but the murmuring stopped when she said that and all the townspeople left the crater.

River went back to the crater to finish helping the women get the object out of the ground before they were surrounded again.

"I think that's it," Amy said as the large golden piece appeared above ground.

"Yes, that is," River said. But it wasn't a command nodule like she had hoped it would have been. "But it's not what we were looking for, but it will help."

Martha had had enough being in the dark over the whole idea, "Just what is it that you are trying to do with all of this." There was silence among them when River finally spoke up.

"I'm trying to reconstruct a Dalek from scratch and send it into the heart of their planet to destroy them all with one blow."

They all gasped when she said this. Amy spoke up, "Why are you doing this?" she asked concerned.

"All for him, mum," River replied.

"Something is going to happen to the Doctor, isn't it?" Rose asked.

"Yes, but it's some time into the future, that's why I have to do it now, while I'm around."

Martha leaned back against the side of a building, "And the true reason you wanted all of us with you at this point is to help you construct a Dalek bomb to save the Doctor. Hmph."

Amy's eyes became fierce when she heard Martha hmph at the thought of saving the Doctor. "Don't tell me, you don't give a damn about him?"

Martha looked back at her with one eye, "Well, I really don't. He did nothing but take me from my home and then put me in all sorts of danger."

Amy stormed up to Martha just as Rose got between them, "You listen here, you two! I'm not going to stand by and hear you speak bad about the Doctor and I'm not going to hear you speak bad about her because she feels that way. Sure he has gotten us all into bad situations but he has always come through in the end. Now, this time it's up to us to help him and what are we gonna do? Just sit around and play yelling matches over some bloody shit that happened in the past? No!"

River walked up to Rose and put her hand on her shoulder, "I think that's quite alright Rose.. I understand where Martha and my mother are coming from. I'm married to him, you know."

The three stood quiet for a moment before Amy backed off from Martha, "It just doesn't sit well with me that she has a right to say anything. But I respect you, River and understand your thoughts with him."

Rose took a deep breath and said, "Great, now that it's all settled, how are we going to carry this thing?" It looked quite heavy and none of them worked out.

"Oh it's not heavy, it's really light actually." River said turning a dial on her Sonic Screwdriver and pointing it at the object. "Mum, pick it up."

Amy walked over and picked it up and held it on one finger bringing a gasp from Rose's mouth. "Wow!" the blonde exclaimed.

A person from the town had secretly stayed behind and came out of the shadows shouting, "The women have gold!! Hurry up 'n snag it!" All the townspeople came running from everywhere and the four companions had to make a mad dash back to the T.A.R.D.I.S.

"Hurry up and get us going, River!" Martha shouted, trying to keep the door closed with Rose.

River looked to Amy and said, "Mother, put the object down. When the T.A.R.D.I.S. starts up it will weigh 4,000 tons!"

Amy dropped the item on the floor and stood back from it just as River toggled the switch sending them hurdling through time and space. They were all panting from the exhaustion of running but couldn't help but smile.

"I have never run from townspeople before. Aliens yes, but not humans," Martha said panting hard.

"Oh trust me...It only gets better," River said with a smile before throwing the lever up sending them to another area in time.
