[Delilah's point of view]
"Dr Dismay's planning a jewel heist?" I repeated, walking out of Scarlett's office. "That's kinda ... not dangerous."
Julius smirked. "Maybe he's losing his touch."
"No such luck. He's probably got something bigger on his mind ... maybe he needs it to power a laser or something."
Julius shrugged. "Whatever. All I know is, Scarlett gave us a sweet ride."
We entered the garage, and I knew what Julius meant. There in front of us was a brand spanking new red sports car. The appearance was enough for me, I didn't care about the gadgets it had. It was so ...
"I'm in love," Julius sighed, as he sat in the driver's seat.
"Why do you get to drive?" I asked.
Julius dangled the keys in front of me. "Because I have the keys, De."
I made a grab for them, but my partner pulled them away. "Ah ah ah," he chided. "How about you drive on the way back?"
I hopped in the passenger's seat and buckled up. "That is if there even is a car on the way back."
Julius shot me a look, but made no comment. He started the car and we drove away from the Academy.

[Eric's point of view]
God, I do not want to be here. I can't believe my stupid father sent me to my stupider uncle. Doesn't anyone understand I don't want to be a criminal? Guess not, 'cause here I am, inside the back of a van disguised to be from a cable company. Uncle Dismay is talking to Nurse. She never says anything, and half the time I'm left alone with here.
"Eric? Are you paying attention?" Uncle asked.
I sighed. "I already know the plan. I go in with you, you grab the diamond, we escape. It's not that complicated."
I noticed that Uncle's fingers hovered over the small pistol tucked in his belt. Honestly, I don't care if he shoots me. Death's probably better than doing a diamond heist.
"Come on, you little brat," Uncle ordered, grabbing me by the collar and hauling my out of the van.

[Delilah's point of view]
Julius and I were disguised as security guards outside when we saw Dr Dismay hop out of a white van. He was dragging a boy about our age behind him. I couldn't see his face, because his hood was pulled over it.
"Let's go," Julius murmured out of the corner of his mouth. "Try and stop them before they get inside."
I nodded, and we walked casually over to the doors that Dr Dismay was trying to slip through. He noticed us, and bolted indoors.
"Crap." I whispered. "Let's go around the other side."

[Eric's point of view]
I recognized the two security guards as the people on the picture Nurse was throwing darts at. Uncle did too, and he dragged me inside.
"Cover's blown, so I'll go for a different approach," he explained.
"Whatever," I answered, trudging along behind him.
As two guards passed in front of us, Uncle took out a couple of small pellets. "Hold your breath," he advised as he threw them to the ground.
The guards looked stunned at first, then dropped without a sound. Knock out pellets. How trivial. Uncle grabbed my by the collar again and raced down the hallway. I had to keep up so I wouldn't be choked. We reached a metal door with a huge lock on it.
"We aren't getting in there," I muttered.
Uncle looked at me as if I were a small child. "Says you."
He took out what looked like a flat, metal spider, the size of my head. Uncle placed it on the lock. The lock clicked and sparked, and then the door swung open.
"Not so fast, Dr Dismay!" I heard a female voice shout.
And then I saw her.
Standing in the doorway were the pair that Uncle had referred to as Delilah and Julius. I couldn't take my eyes off Delilah. She had to be the most beautiful human being I'd ever seen. She made all my ex-girlfriends look like ugly trolls. Her eyes met mine, and I felt something special.

[Julius' point of view]
I really hated how Delilah looked at that kid. I would have given anything for her to look at me like that. The kid looked back at her in the same way. He had to be related to Dr Dismay. Speaking of him, the doctor reached into his lab coat and pulled out a gun. He aimed it at Delilah.
You know, I was ready to jump and save her when that kid screamed "NO!" and crashed into Dr Dismay. The gun still fired, but instead of hitting Delilah, it got me in the arm. I let out a cry of pain and collapsed. That snapped Delilah out of her trance.
"Oh my god!" she cried, dropping to the floor beside me. "Are you OK?"
I smiled, trying to hide the jealousy. "Yeah, it's just my arm. Don't really need my arm."
She rolled her eyes. I was about to make another stupid comment to make her laugh when Dr Dismay and the kid dashed past us, carrying the diamond. Delilah hopped to her feet, but the doctor kicked her back down.
"Come on, Eric!" he yelled, racing out the door.
The kid - Eric - shot one last look at Delilah, and darted out the door. Delilah stayed on the ground. Why? She could catch them easy!
"Delilah, get after them!" I shouted.
She shook her head. "It's too late, they're gone. Besides, you need to get to a hospital."
I frowned. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only reason she didn't give chase ...
