[Delilah's point of view]

Oh God. Julius had seen that - me and Eric, and he had heard ... heard what Eric had said. And then he ran. I dashed after him.

"Julius! Julius, wait!"

He didn't stop, not even slow. Throwing a door open, Julius raced up the stairs to the roof. Then it hit me. He was going to jump off. Wow, had I underestimated his feelings.

I reached the roof seconds behind my partner. Breaking into a sprint, I dived on him, knocking us both to the ground. He tried to scrambled to his feet, put I pushed him down.

"What are you doing?!" I screamed.

"There's no point in living anymore!" he half yelled, half sobbed. Julius pushed me off him and got to his feet.

Here we go again. I grabbed the back of his shirt and held him back from the edge. "Julius, if you jump, I swear I'll kill you!"

Wait a second ...

Still, Julius thrashed in my arms. I frowned. "You'll thank me for this later."

I pinched the pressure point on his neck, dropping him.

[Julius' point of view]

I woke up tired and with a huge headache. I hate it when she uses pressure points.

"Finally." I heard Delilah whisper.

Oh great. I opened my eyes and tried to laugh off the incident. "You know I hate it when you use pressure points."

She smiled slightly. "Like I had a choice. We need to talk, Jules."

I really wasn't in the mood. I rolled over, putting my back to her. "About what? You and your boyfriend?"

Delilah sighed in exasperation. She put her hand gently on my shoulder. "You know that just because he said those things to me doesn't mean I feel the same way."

I hate it when she has a point. I rolled back over. "I guess I knew that. I was ... mad."

She smiled. "If you're feeling better, Al has a mission for us."

I sat up. "I'm game."

[Eric's point of view]

Uncle was up to no-good again. He had finished his ray, which I still had no idea what it did. It was like a gun, I guess, that slipped over his arm. The diamond we had stolen was in the centre, powering whatever it was.

"Time to take it for a test drive." Uncle announced one morning.

Nurse smiled - shudder. She looked at me with disdain and grabbed me by the collar. Couldn't they just say, Come on, Eric, we're going, or, Hey Eric, let's go? No, they have to be physical. I hate my family.

~~One Hour Later~~

It was around midnight, by my figuring. Uncle, Nurse and I stood in the middle of a bridge. There was no one in sight. Uncle smiled wickedly.

"Prepare to witness the power of my Agito Ray!"

He pressed the bright blue button on the ray. I gasped as a brilliant silver light shot out the end of it towards a car. What would the beam do to the car? Make it explode, burst in to flames, implode, shrink, enlarge, turn to gold?

As the ray hit the car, Uncle moved his hand up. The car rose of the ground. Uncle wiggled his hand, and the car wiggled. He looked at me, beaming with pride.

"What do you think, boy?"

I raised an eyebrow. "It ... moves things."

"Yes."

"Is that all it does?" I asked.

Uncle nodded. "Agito is Latin for move. What else would it do?"

I laughed. "Make things explode, I don't know. You're supposed to be the evil genius, not me."

Uncle's fingers hovered over his hidden pistol. "Don't underestimate it's power, brat." he snarled.

I laughed harder. "What evil could you possible do with that useless thing?"
