Tory: Hi again! Sorry I didn't update yesturday but I had a ton of things to do so here I am today.
Ferrets: Tory doesn't own CotT.
Tory: Sadly no... but anyways... on with the story! Enjoy.
Odie and Neil worked furiously to try and fix their last attempt to save the world. The attack from the Umbra Dominus did a lot of damage. But with Neil's luck hopefully they could fix it in time.
Meanwhile...
The others were fighting the Umbra Dominus with Cronus. They still didn't trust him but they knew it was the only way to save everything and everyone. Not many words were spoken as they had their full attention focused on winning.
" Jay watch out!" Herry called as he saw a building crumble beside Jay.
He ran towards him and pulled him out of the way just in time.
" Thanks." Jay replied before they both went back to fighting.
Cronus actually kept his word. He wasn't attacking the teens, in fact he was helping them. A few times he saved them from being crushed by the massive fist that belonged to the Umbra Dominus.
Overhead the clouds grew darker and darker. They swirled around in the sky directly above were the fight was taking place. Before long lighting streaked the sky and thunder boomed. Then the rain came. It came in sheets and made it hard to see. But they fought with all they had.
Odie and Neil had almost finished their weapon. They just needed to plug it in.
" Guys were ready." Odie called over the PMR.
" Everyone get out of the way!" Jay yelled as Odie charged up the light.
Everyone backed away. Odie pressed the button to turn it on and it worked! But because of the rain it short circuited. Sparks flew and the machine turned off.
" What's the hold up?" Archie asked over the PMR.
" It short circuited!" Odie exclaimed.
" Piece of junk!" Neil said as he kicked it.
Suddenly it fired up and shot a beam of light at the Umbra Dominus. It screamed in pain.
" Neil you're a genius!" Odie said as he looked at the light.
" Well-" Neil started but was cut off.
" It's not strong enough." Atlanta said.
" If we all attack it together we may just be able to do it." Jay ordered as he grabbed his weapon.
" All we have to do is get it back in that hole." Archie stated.
The heroes and Cronus all grabbed a weapon and attacked the Umbra Dominus at once. It seemed to be working. The Umbra Dominus was stumbling backwards, towards the hole. The heroes and Cronus continued with their attacks.
" We're almost there! Keep going!" Jay yelled over the sound of the Umbra Dominus.
Within minutes the heroes had the Umbra Dominus on the edge of the hole. Then it disappeared form sight. The heroes heard a crash on the ground below and cheered.
" We did it!" they exclaimed wiht joy.
They all high fived each other and turned to walk away. Then Archie stopped short. A look of horror on his face.
" What is it Arch?" Atlanta asked as she saw his expression.
" It's not over yet." he said.
" What do you mean?" Theresa asked.
" That wasn't the Umbra Dominus. It was only his protector." Archie replied.
" But you said..." Neil started.
" When I was reading the book in the Shadow Realm I read that the Umbra Dominus is-" he was cut off.
" Me." A voice stated.
The heroes whirled around to face the real Umbra Dominus.
" Billy." Archie muttered.
" Yes. Oh and no hard feelings about me trying to kill you. It's nothing personal... I just hate you all." Billy said with a grin.
" But, I thought Archie killed you?" Herry asked.
" Well like I said before I can't be killed. You on the other hand can." Billy replied as he walked closer and closer to the heroes.
" So what now?" Neil asked out loud.
" Now..." Billy started to laugh menanically," Now, you die."
" No. Now we fight." Jay said.
" And I know just how to beat him." Theresa stated.
" You do?" everyone turned to her, Billy's smile faded.
" Yes. Jay, Archie. You come with me. The rest of you fight." she ordered.
Everyone did as they were told. The three took off towards the school.
" So how do we beat him?" Jay asked as they ran.
:" Well I'm not exactly sure if it will work. But it should." Theresa replied as they entered the school. It seemed to be the only building still standing in one piece.
They entered the gods and goddesses secret hideout and followed Theresa to the library. She grabbed a book off one of the shelves and dropped in on the table. Then she started to flip through the pages.
Jay and Archie just stood there. They weren't sure what to do. A silence had covered the room like a veil. Until...
" Aha!" Theresa's voice rang out and echoed in the emtpy room.
The two boys just looked at her.
" Archie read this." she ordered.
He picked up the book and read over the words. As he read a smile came over his face.
" It just might work." he said.
" What might just work?" Jay asked, feeling completely confused.
Archie and Theresa explained their plan to Jay. Then they rushed off to gather what they needed. As they left the school a question popped into Archie's head.
" Theresa. There's just one thing I don't get." he started.
" What's that?" she asked as they ran.
" How did you know where to find that?" he asked as they rounded a corner.
" I'm psychic. Remember." Theresa replied.
" But it's in latin. How did you under stand it?" he questioned.
" That's why I brought you along" she said.
Archie just shrugged and kept running. He just hoped it would work. They got back to the battlefield to see that Billy was winning. He was only toying with them and they knew it. He had a smug look on his face as he watched the misery of the heroes. Even Cronus was in pain. But this look faded when he saw the other three return. Especially when he saw the book.
" Give that to me!" he yelled as he charged for them.
Theresa held out a pendant that stopped him in his tracks. A look of horror and fear washed over him.
" Wh- where did y-you get THAT?" he stammered in disbelief.
He didn't get an answer to his question.
" Archie start to read it." Jay ordered.
Archie did so. He chanted the words that were printed in the ancient book. But a smile replaced the fear on Billy's face. And he started to laugh.
" What's so funny?" Jay asked.
" You think you can stop me with mere words? The gods themselves couldn't even stop me. What makes you think that you mortals can?" Billy said as he took a step forward.
" Because we have one thing that the gods didn't." Jay replied.
" What's that?" Billy aske intriged to find out.
" A pure world." he replied.
" Pure? How can you say that when there is an evil and twisted god trying to rule everything?" Billy asked, confusion in his voice.
" For now we have a truce with the only true evil in the world." Jay replied.
Billy's face once again took on a look of horror. Archie had finished reading the page and now looked at Billy with a smile.
" I told this ends now." Archie said.
Billy was about to race forward and tear him limb from limb but he didn't. He couldn't. He was stuck. Lights swirled around him and he started to disappear. But before he did he got out one last sentence.
" I'll be back! Then you'll pay!" he shouted.
The swirling lights rose off the ground and were now going into the pendant Theresa held. The force of the lights was pushing her backwards but Jay held on to her. Within seconds Billy was gone. The black clouds above them faded and everything seemed normal again.
A light washed across the earth changing all the destruction back to what it was before Billy, the Umbra Dominus, came. Theresa held the pendant tightly in her hand. The heroes were about to start celebrating when they saw Cronus.
" I guess thanks are in order for helping us." Jay said, being polite.
" Yes well..." he trailed off, " If I can't rule the world no one can. ANd It's no fun to rule a world with no on to torture."
" You still did a good thing." Jay said.
" Well don't expect me to change because I won't. The next time I see you it won't be a pleasant one. I will destroy you." Cronus said before summoning up a portal and disappearing.
" Rude much." Atlanta said with her arms crossed over her chest.
Jay couldn't help but smile. Theresa noticed this but she didn't say anything. She knew exactly how he felt. She felt it too. They all did.
" I guess we should get this to Hera." Archie said, interupting the thoughts of everyone.
They all agreed and headed for the school. There world was once again safe. But Jay couldn't help but wonder what would threaten them next. He shrugged it off and decided to celebrate. He knew he would be forced to if he didn't.
As they enetered the gods secret hideout something still bugged Theresa. She decided to think about it later. Now was the time to celebrate.

What's still bugging Theresa? Have they really won? Was this all a crazy dream? Find out in the final chapter.
AUTHORS NOTE: Hope you liked it. I've decided to add one last chapter to sum everything up and clear up some unanswered questions from earlier chapters. But there may be more twists or an unexpected visit. All I can say is you'll have to read the last chapter to find out. Anywho... please rate and review. Constructive critism is alway welcome.^_^
