Sonic came back from his morning run and, since Amy hadn't made breakfast, he decided to take a shower.

He saw that the bathroom door was closed and that the light was shining through the crack between the floor and the door.

Sonic knocked on the door. "Ames? Are you almost done?" He asked. "I need to take a shower before we meet the gang at Tails' house for his welcome home party."

Amy opened the door. "I- I'll get breakfast ready," She said. She bit her lip.

"Are you okay?" Sonic asked.

Amy fiddled with her spines. "How do you feel about kids?"

"I love kids, but we just got married two months ago." Sonic said. "Way too early to discuss this."

Amy nodded.

Sonic tilted his head slightly. "We're having one anyway, huh?"

"Yes." Amy said.

Sonic hugged Amy. "It's alright; we got this."

Amy gagged. "Shower."

Sonic pulled away from her. "Right." He said. "I'll just have cereal for breakfast. We have to be there early."
**
Sonic poured himself a bowl of cereal. He looked at Amy, who was stirring her cereal. "Relax. We got nine months until-"

"I'm not a human or a cow, Sonic." Amy replied.

"So?" Sonic asked.

"So it'll be thirty-five to forty days for a hedgehog." Amy replied.

Sonic fainted, spilling cereal all over the counter.

"He has the easy job and he faints." Amy muttered. She got up and knelt down beside Sonic. She patted his face. "Sonic?"

Sonic finally came around and slowly sat up, rubbing his head. "What happened?"

"You fainted." Amy said.

"Right." Sonic replied. "Anyway, we have a little over a month to prepare and I've babysat before. We fight deadly robots all the time. How hard could this be?"

"Very, but thanks for trying to be encouraging or whatever." Amy said, hugging Sonic. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. Sticks said that Tails put up a sign saying that he doesn't want a party, but he does want to have a pizza dinner at his house tonight."

"Good, I don't feel like setting or cleaning up." Sonic replied. He got up and helped Amy up as well.

"So what do you want to do until then?" Amy asked.

"I'm going to talk to Cyborg Amy and Cyborg Sonic about something." Sonic replied. "While I'm out, you can do some research."
**
Sonic sat down on one of Cyborg Amy's patio chairs. "Okay, I need a favor from you two."

"If it's like last time, I'm gonna need more than chili dogs as my pay." Cyborg Sonic said. "I had to have Cyborg Tails erase the memory of Egghead in a toga because it was giving me nightmares."

Sonic grimaced. "Now, I'm gonna have nightmares." He replied. "Anyway, I'll need you to-"

Cyborg Amy squealed and pointed at Sonic's wedding ring. "Did you and Amy get married?"

"Yes and we have a baby on the way, which is why I need you two to cover for us for… a couple of months." Sonic said. "Maybe three. We'll figure out who will babysit when we get back to work in the meantime."

Cyborg Amy and Cyborg Sonic agreed.

Cyborg Amy looked over at Cyborg Sonic. "Well?"

Cyborg Sonic sighed. "Okay, we'll get married one day, but not now."

"Thanks a lot." Sonic replied. "I'll see you later, we're having a welcome home dinner for Tails."

"Have fun." Cyborg Sonic and Cyborg Amy said as

Sonic raced home.
*
Sonic raced into the shack.

Amy was laying on their couch while scrolling through her phone.

Sonic sat down by her feet. "Anything interesting?"

"Is this even accurate?!" Amy shrieked. She showed him her phone.

"It's a medical site, so I'm sure it is." Sonic replied. "That doesn't mean we're gonna have that many babies though."

Amy picked up her hammer. "It doesn't mean we won't."

"A- Amy… put down the hammer." Sonic said, easing away and holding his hands up defensively. "I- I'm sorry, even though this isn't all my fault. I am so, so sorry."

Amy sighed and tossed her hammer aside. "I'm sorry."

"It- it's okay." Sonic replied. He eased closer to her. "We're both stressed."

Amy snuggled against Sonic.

Sonic rubbed her belly. "Since you'll be out of action for a while, I asked Cyborg Sonic and Amy to fill in for us. I don't want to leave you defenseless."

Amy started crying. "That is so sweet of you."

Tails flew in the shack.

"I keep forgetting I have a door now." Sonic muttered. "Hey, Tails, how was the trip?"

"Amy?" Tails asked. "Are you okay?"

Sonic pretended to turn the TV off. "We just watched a sad movie. She'll be fine."

Tails glanced at the TV. "The TV was already off."

"Oh, what was I thinking?" Sonic asked.

Tails tilted his head to the side. "Okay, why are you two acting so weird?"

"Amy and I got married two months ago." Sonic said. "Now, don't feel bad, it was just at the courthouse. Sticks and Knuckles didn't go either."

Tails eyes widened. "Wow. I wasn't…."

"And we just found out we're having a baby." Sonic said.

"Did I accidentally fall into an alternate dimension?" Tails asked.

"No." Sonic replied.

Tails looked around. "Are- are you sure?"

"I'm… pretty sure." Sonic said. "At least I haven't seen emo Egghead or anything."

Tails hugged Sonic. "Congratulations."

"Thanks, Tails." Sonic said.

Amy hugged Tails and Sonic.
