Sonia parked the van inside the factory.
Aleena got out as soon as she saw a resistance vehicle approaching them through the other door.
Sonia got up and nudged Manic’s shoulder.
Manic looked up at Sonia. “Sis?” He asked. “If I have to kill Sonic, kill me too. I can’t live with the fact I had to kill my brother.”
Sonia sighed. “Do you think I could live with the fact I killed you?” She asked. “I know we’re not exactly each other’s favorite sibling, but I do love you, little bro.”
“Love you too, sis.” Manic replied. He got up and followed Sonia out.
Aleena hugged a teal male hedgehog.
Sonia grabbed Manic’s arm and dragged him along. “That’s gotta be our father, he has spines like yours.”
Aleena finally let the hedgehog go as Sonia and Manic reached her. “Kids, this is your dad Brenden.”
Sonia hugged Brenden.
“It’s so good to finally see you two in person.” Brenden said. “Well, up close anyway. I’ve seen a few of your concerts.”
Manic looked around his parents. “Awesome, but… Sonic needs us.”
Brenden looked around. “I haven’t seen-”
Swatbots swarmed the area, overwhelming the family.

Manic woke to find he and his family were electronically shackled. He groaned softly. “Shoulda figured out what kind of knockout gas the sleepers used so we could destroy that too.” He muttered.
Robotnik walked in with Sonic.
Sonia gasped.
Manic sighed. “He’s completely under now.”
“Sonic?” Aleena called. “I know you’re still in there. You-”
Robotnik laughed. “There’s not a trace of that arrogant punk left.” He said. “I erased all of his memories, even his name.”
“That didn’t work on Murphy, I doubt it worked on him.” Manic said under his breath.
Robotnik stepped closer to Manic. “What did you say, smart aleck?”
Manic spit on Robotnik.
Robotnik wiped his face with his handkerchief. “Roboticize the green one, Metal.”
Sonic stepped over and picked Manic up by his throat with one hand.
Manic gasped for breath as he tried his best to squirm out of Sonic’s grasp. “Sonic, stop!” He cried. “C’mon, bro. You can fight it.”
“Eh, on second thought, just kill that one, Metal.” Robotnik said.
Manic started fighting harder. He got one arm free and jammed one of his wristband’s spikes into the charging port on the side of Sonic’s head.
Sonic immediately shut down, dropping Manic.
Manic activated his medallion. He blasted the control panel with a laser blast from his drums.
The power went off briefly, but it gave Sonia, Brenden, and Aleena enough time to be free of their electronic shackles.
Sonia activated her medallion and pointed it at Robotnik. “Oh, don’t worry, I won’t kill you.” She replied. “We’ll let the jury decide your fate.”
Brendan electronically shackled Robotnik.
Manic knelt down beside Sonic. “I hope you’re just in sleep mode, bro.” He said. “We’re gonna de-robotcize you.”
