*Ryan's POV*
The beauty pageant thing threw me, not because she wasn't attractive, but it didn't seem her thing at first. Perhaps it was because being in a van full of guys who randomly picked you up on the side of the road could be a little intimidating. She did sit with good posture, and looked people in the eye when she spoke to them. I really liked Avie too. I was definitely a dog person. Was it German she spoke to her in? I'd have to ask. There were so many things I wanted to ask. I must have been too deep in thought, because the next thing I knew, Brendon had given me a little shove.

"Dude, we're here," he said. Ah, home sweet home. Just how we left it, in the dark. I noticed Brendon take her arm and was leading her towards the door. I couldn't help but be a little jealous.

"You know he'll crash in about a half an hour anyway, then she's all yours," Spencer whispered to me. I couldn't help but smile.

"Wait! Let me get my bag," I heard Maddie say, pulling away from Brendon.

When she reappeared from the back of the trunk with all our bags. My jaw dropped.

*MADDIE'S POV*

"What can I say?" I responded to their look of disbelief. "Farm girl." I shrugged as best as I could with 5 bags.

"Do you want some help?" Jon asked. "It's my turn to get everyone's bags anyway."

"Just because I am of the feminine gender does not mean that I cannot handle my own bags. Plus, I'm probably stronger than all of you. You guys look like you don't eat. I should make you food. How's cake?"

They all laughed and Spencer lead the way into the house.

"Were you serious about making food for us?" Brendon asked, grinning. I set the bags down in the entry way.

"Sure. Why not? I love cooking anyway." I answered. I just hoped they had SOMETHING I could use to make something decent with. "Lead the way to the kitchen. It's what, only 8 anyway. I could whip something up."

"Err, we don't exactly have anything food wise here. We'll have to go shopping." Jon admitted sheepishly. I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Boys. No wonder ya'll are so skinny." I said, poking Jon's stomach. He attempted to look offended.

"You know it's true. You need to eat more." I said looking at Ryan. He was definitely the skinniest of the group. "Sure you guys don't have eating disorders?"

"No, but I don't eat meat." Brendon said.

"Good. I don't either." I responded.
