~~Ryan's POV~~
"I feel bad that she doesn't have a bed," Spencer said. "Why don't one of you give up your room and sleep in the other bunk?"
"She can have my room!" Jon said. "I would love to sleep with you Spencer!"
We burst out laughing. "No way Jon. Your bed is NASTY! Who knows what's in there!" Brendon said.
"She can have mine. I'm probably the cleanest anyway" I said. I have no idea where that came from. The idea of her being in my bed, I could tell, made me blush.
"Worst part is you're right. You're okay with that?" Brendon asked.
"Why wouldn't I?" I said. Brendon gave me a look, and then Maddie walked in.
"We've decided you're gonna sleep in Ryan's bed, and he'll sleep in my other bunk bed. Then you can have some privacy." Spencer said.
"You guys have done too much already. Really, I'm fine on the floor. I have been camping before." she said. I couldn't help but laugh. She definitely held her own.
"No, really, it's alright. Ryan already put clean sheets on for you." Brendon said.
"I don't know how to thank you guys. You've done so much for me already, let me do something for you guys." she said.
"Well we'll think of some way for you to repay us. But for right now, Ryan why don't you show Maddie your room." Brendon said.
I hadn't looked at her since she reappeared. What would she think?
"Look, you really don't have to do this-" she started.
"It's okay" I interupted and opened the door to my room. It wasn't all that lived in yet. I had been the last to move in and half of my stuff was in anotehr room. "Do you want some help with your bag?"
"I think I can get it. I'll be right back." she said going to get her things. Maybe I should take Brendon's advice. I had nothing to lose right? It wasn't technically asking her on a date anyway.
"What are your plans for tomorrow?" I started.
"Oh, I don't know. I'd like to cook for you guys again if you'll let me." she said opening her suitcase. I saw some bright colored undergarments, and I tried to keep my composure.
"Well, uh, would you like to, um, go with me to the university? I could show you around" I blurted out.
"Really?! You aren't too busy?! I would love to!" She jumped up and gave me a hug. I wasn't expecting that. I froze.
"That would really be great." she pulled back and I couldn't help but blush. Why hadn't I hugged her back? I noticed she was eye level with me, taller than I thought she was. She turned around to return to her suitcase, and I could tell she was blushing.
"I'm sorry-" she started. I grabbed her arm and pulled her around, looking into her eyes.
"Don't be. I was just surprised," I said, hugging her. Really hugged her. There was a knock at the door, and we sprang apart.
"Hey do you guys wanna finish the movie?" I heard Jon on the other side. I looked at Maddie and she shook her head.
"No I yelled back," not opening the door.
"OHH!" I heard Jon say, and then go back down the hall. We laughed.
"Well, I guess you'll be wanting to get to bed. I'll see you tomorrow then?" I said.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it, " she said smiling. She hugged me again, and when we pulled apart, she kissed my cheek. A smile later, I was on the other side of the door, my hand to my cheek.
