Chapter 22: Euthanasia VS My Sanctuary Part 1

KENNY'S POINT OF VIEW:

(Behind the Forgotten Bands contest stage)

I was more than happy that My Sanctuary were in the last round. I never thought we'd make it this far. Plus, on top of that, Virtual Reality and my ex girlfriend Amanda, was voted out. Bad news- our competition was our least favorite band, Euthanasia. Another bad thing-this was the second last round of the Forgotten Bands contest. Soon, the contest would be over. What would happen to My Sanctuary after that? Would we be famous? Failures? Or would My Sanctuary break up? Klaus distracted me from my negative thoughts.

"So, Amy, how was your date with Andy last night?" Asked Klaus.

"Dreamy," Amy said, sighing, who was in her own clothes again. "Thanks again, Megs."

"Anytime." Megan said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.

"Feels good to be back in my own clothes." Amy continued.

"I'm glad to have my own identity back," replied Megan.

Right on cue, Andy came towards us.

"Hey, Princess," Andy said to Megan.

Megan bit her bottom lip. I looked at Amy. Her eyes pleaded Megan to pretend to like him for her, so she could pretend to be Megan again. Megan looked confused, not knowing what to do.

"Hi," Megan said, giving a false smile.

Andy obviously didn't know that he was dating Amy,

"Had fun last night." Andy commented.

"Yeah. It was a blast." Megan said, giving a little uncomfortable giggle.

"Too bad I have to go against my babe for the contest," Andy said with sad eyes.

"Yeah," Megan "faked" agreed. "A bummer. But may the best one win. Just because you're my boyfriend doesn't mean I'll go easy on you."

"Let's give it out for My Sanctuary!" Cried out an anxious DJ.

Andy gave Megan a kiss. "Good luck."

If Andy stayed one moment longer, they would have seen Megan begging for mouth wash, and telling Amy she was going to kill her. If only Amy would open her eyes to see the jerk that Andy is.

"Let's hear it for My Sanctuary!" cried out DJ.

We entered the stage.

The band was pumped. We were so excited that Klaus and me could hardly hold our guitars straight. You could tell Megan and Amy trying to hard not to scream into the mic with excitement. As for Joey, he was about to drop his drumsticks from the excitement.

DJ began to speak to the audience. "Since there's only two bands left, we decided to do something different. We decided that each band would sing two songs back to back. Take it away, Darkness' Illusion.

"Are you guys ready to rock?" Megan cried out with her fist in the air.

We got some cheers, which gave me butterflies. I just couldn't help but be notice. We were so close to making our dream become a reality! I couldn't help notice all the glow sticks in the audience. There was a whole bunch of signs, too. One read, "My Sanctuary deserves to be Euthanized". I frowned at the sign. But there were positives, too. One said, "My Sanctuary is rocks sanctuary". That one made me smile. My admiring the scenery was interrupted when Megan began to sing

We got a few claps and whistles, with a whole bunch of glow sticks in the air waving like crazy, then I began my drum solo to introduce the next song. Megan began to sing.

"Thank you so much, everyone!" Megan cried out into the mic

I tried to savour the moment of the audience cheering. It was a feeling unlike any other. It warmed my heart that people really did like us. We got off stage so fast in excitement, that we didn't even feel the Deja-vu of DJ repeating himself after every performance. Next was Euthanasia's turn to sing their two songs. I couldn't help but to admit that I was nervous.
