3 reviewsThis is where the main hero enters, the town, and people are a little weary of him.
1Illiterate
The drive was long, it felt like he had been driving for hours, looking for this little place called Edgebrook,MO.
He sighed, and took a quick glance at the map." Damnit...thirty fucking minutes...", He said as he threw the map in the back, he looked over at his fiance who was sleeping in the passenger seat, and smiled, he then turned his attention back to the road.
He, drove for what seemed like hours to him, he sighed. " twenty-five beautiful miles left, briliant, just briliant", he said sarcasticaly, as he drove past farmland. This trip was starting to bother him. He looked over at Rai again, she had been sleeping, due to the fact; she had been driving twelve hours straight. She was his angel, his only becon of light. The last thirty minutes were killing him, nothing but farmland, and woodland.
The old beat up ford explorer, Pulled into a diner. He yawned and looked over at rai, the lucious. 5'6 asian godess, was stretching; leaning over, and showing her beautiful god crafted ass to the pedistrians going bye.
He pulled into the diner, and woke Rai from her innocent sleep. He looked at the place, and shrugged.
" This place, had better have some damn good B&G, or I leave." Rai looked at him, and just shook her beautiful Asian head.
He approached the door, and grabbed the polished silver handle, and pulled the door open. Rai entered the establishment first.
The waitress one of the stereo typical gothic types, with black hair, eyebrow peircing, and many others that shouldn't be descri-
bied. She looked at the couple, and sighed. "Welcome to Uncle Sals, my name is Patience...follow me, please." She led them
to a small little booth in the back, she seated them, and tossed their menus on the table." I'll be back in a minute, to take your
orders." , she said as she started to walk away, Jayce spoke." Wait, don't we get our drinks?" " What do you want?", she
sighed, giving off the impression she hated her job. Rai spoke, her voice soft as a whisper in the wind. " I'll have a diet- pepsi."
" Okay, and what do you want, mister?" " I'll have a Mountain Dew." Patience looked at them both and gave them one of those
whatever looks, and went to fetch their drinks. Jayce looked to Rai with a sparkle in his eye, and smile forming on his mouth.
"You know, everytime I look at you, I get the most wonderful feeling in my heart?", she looked at him all wide eyed.
" Jay, I don't think we can do it in the bathroom of a diner, it seems so unsanitary...", he looked at her with his eyebrow
raised, and his jaw dropped. " No. No. No. That's not what I mean, I am trying to give you a compliment." She blushed and
looked at him. " Oh baby! Your so SWEET!" She leaned across the table, and gave him a kiss on the lips, slipping in a
little tongue. He accepted her kiss and when their lips parted, and he opened his eyes, there was the waitress, she looked
disgusted, he looked at her. " You ready to order? '' ,she put down their drinks, and took out her order sheet, and looked at
them impatiently, and started to tap her foot. Jayce looked at her, and smiled. " Yes, I'll have a half order of B&G." , he
he looked over at his Fiancé. Rai's turn was up, she looked over the menu. " I'll have...err...a... Grilled Cheese and Bacon
please.", she looked at them both, and hung the ticket. For the next few minutes, he looked at the kitchen window, the cook
was suprisingly clean cut and proffesional looking that it was scary. He looked at the other patrons, Most of them were older
and sipping cofee, discussing their time in vietnam. Patience was soon to return with their food; Jayce started to scarf down
biscuits and gravy. Rai Nibbled on her Grilled cheese and bacon, she smiled and looked at Jayce. " You know, I like this
small little town...it's nice.", she said as some of the sandwich feel from her mouth. He looke at her and just shruged, he
looked at some of the patrons and just felt weird. " Yeah it is nice...but the natives are kind of creepy." , he looked at their
waitress, and just shivered. Patience brought back their ticket, Jayce looked at it and took money out of his wallet: left a five
and a twenty on the table and Both Jayce and Rai left the diner.
