Giles felt nervous and unsure of himself. Sure, they had already been intimate, but what he had planned went far beyond that. With all that had been going on with his niece and her girlfriend, he had neglected the wonderful thing that was now in his life.
In a few minutes, Jenny Calendar would be sitting across from him. She would no doubt be looking gorgeous from head to toe as she always did. But this was a special occasion and he had told her as much.
The librarian picked up his napkin and lay it in his lap. Not because it was the proper thing to do, but because he was so nervous now that he needed something to do to keep his mind off from the task at hand.
He had talked to both his niece and her girlfriend. Seeing that the two of them were now living with him, sharing a room together, he thought that it was best that he asked their opinion of what he had to propose.
Propose! That was it, now wasn't it. That got down to the very cause of it all. He was going to ask the woman that had stolen his heart, not only to marry him, but to move in with him straight away.
The librarian had never felt this way in his life before. It was true that the computer teacher and he had their differences. He was a little less modern when it came to technology then she. But there was just something that seemed to click between them. And so, he felt the timing was right.
His breath caught as he saw the most stunning vision walking towards him. Jenny! And she was in the very tight fitting sleeveless red velvet dress. She had a thin gold chain around her neck. There was a black shawl around her perfect shoulders.
As soon as she got to the table, he stood up. "You look like a vision. Very lovely indeed."
"Thank you kind sir." He made his way and pulled out her chair. She sat down as did he. "You're not looking so bad yourself. Did you buy that tux or did you rent it special for just for the occasion."
Giles smiled big. "This thing? I've owned it for years. But this is the first time that I've felt the time was right to wear it. For I have something very important to ask of you dear."
Jenny smiled from ear to ear. "Well, now. Don't you sound all serious." She took the menu from the waiter who simply left without saying a word. She set it down without giving it a second glance. "And what is it that is so important?"
The librarian cleared his throat. "Yes, well I had been going to wait until after we had eaten to do this." Sighing a little, he got up and kneeled on one knee in front of her. "This is a two fold question. Jenny Calendar, I want you to move in with me. But even more importantly, I want you to be my wife." There was an endless silence.

In a warehouse somewhere unknown, there was a familiar figure. One that many residents in the small town of Sunnydale had come to hate. He was a man that had always had things handed to him and was used to getting his own way.
But then he had gotten full of himself. He had thought that he could do no wrong. But how foolish was a man such as he. For everything has its consequences. Whether they be good things or bad things that one does. And he was one of the darkest men to ever grace the town of Sunnydale.
And who was this oh so familiar figure? Well that was an easy question to answer. He's the man that tried to keep Willow and Tara apart. He was the one that kept his wife in line for so many years by poisoning her. He was the one that abused his children so that they would keep in line. And he was the one that nearly killed his own daughter by poisoning her as well.
Mr. McClay now stood in the middle of this warehouse, it now being his home. It was his last remaining asset that the government did not know about. He had put it under an assumed name so that if someday he did have to hide out, he could.
The warehouse was empty. Not only the basic of necessities could one find inside. And that was all he needed. For he had someone that would be there for him. One that was his true ally. In fact, she should be showing up at any time now. He knew that her absences were getting harder and harder to explain, but he needed her. She was all he had.
He paced around the warehouse waiting. On his mind was pure and simple revenge. The daughter that he really hadn't wanted was now living a happy life from all the accounts he could find out. His ally would have to be the one to help him with that.
At that moment, the door opened up. And in walked Anya Jenkins. "Welcome, daughter."
Slowly, the young lady made her way towards Mr. MacClay. "Hello father." They stood within feet of one another. "You wanted to see me yet again? You know, I can't keep getting away. Someone is gonna realize something is up. You know that I've been gone every time something big has happened. Xander is gonna realize something, eventually."
Mr. MaClay only shrugged. "You'll just have to be more careful. I need you more then ever. You are my only contact with the outside world. Did anyone follow you?"
"And why would they do that?" Anya stared at her father. She was the illegitimate daughter that he told no one about. But yet she was the one that he supposedly loved. It made no sense to her at all.
"Because I know that the authorities are after me." He took a couple steps closer. "Or is that something you want to happen my dearest daughter."
In the back of her mind, she thought that that might be for the best. But instead she said, "Of course not. What is it you need from me now?"
"I want you to get back at your sister." Anya's eyes widened considerably. "She needs to pay." Her heart sank at this comment. That was the last thing she ever wanted to do. But it was for her father after all.

Two weeks had seemed to fly by. Maybe it was because the two of them had spent every second with one another. Or maybe it was the anticipation of this.
And this was them in the same room. Uncle Giles didn't have a very large apartment. There were only the two bedrooms. And that meant the two young ladies would have to share one room. But her uncle was no fool. He had gone out and bought another bed. So they were only roommates.
But that didn't mean that they couldn't snuggle on the bed together. And that's what they were doing now. For Willow was now making enough progress to not always have to use a wheelchair. At times, she could use a walker.
It made her feel like a little old lady, but at least she wasn't totally dependent on the wheelchair. And if not for any other injuries or sudden relapses, she would be able to continue to walk. And that was something to celebrate.
The two were just lying there on Willow's bed. There was sweet music playing for the two of them. Different songs, but all having to do with love and always being together.
Some would say that they were too young to know their hearts, but that was not how they felt. They knew that they were in love. And that was all that mattered. Love was ageless. Of that they were certain.
"Willow?" Tara rolled over carefully and leaned on her elbow. "Are you sure that us living together is gonna work out?"
That made the redhead smile. "Haven't we been through this several times before?" She took the blond's hand in her own and squeezed it gently. "It's all right. It's better then all right. It's perfect."
"I only meant..." The blond trailed off and began blushing a very deep red. She suddenly could not look at the young woman that she loved so deeply.
This made Willow blush as well. She had thought about the whole them in the same room and well it was a pleasant thought. But she wasn't ready for that. One reason was that she was physically at the moment not ready for that.
But the other reason was that she had been through so much. And yes, expressing her love for Tara would be the one dream that she had. But it just felt like her emotions were on over load.
"I think we can restrain ourselves." Willow forced Tara to look her in the eye. "Look, I'm attracted to you. What dummy on the earth wouldn't be. That's not why I want to wait. I want to wait because we are young. We've been through so much in such a short time. And I just love being in your arms. Someday I will want it all. The physical love as well as the emotional one that we already have."
Tara smiled a little at this. "I feel the same way. I just, I guess I just wanted to make sure that you were feeling the same way as me. Cause I don't want us to not talk about anything. Because not talking can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts."
Willow now put her hand on the blond's cheek. "I agree. I think that's why my parents were so surprised about me, well, being attracted to you. I had never really had feelings like this. But I never felt that I could tell them something like this and this is a really bad example."
A small soft laugh escaped Tara. "No, I get it. It doesn't matter if it's with the one that you love or the ones that you are supposed to love. If you don't communicate, you can so easily get into arguments or do stupid things. It's just the way things are. With anyone."
"That's so true." Willow leaned in for a little kiss. "I hope that Buffy, Xander, and everyone else can find relationships like this. I know that they've found someone, but are they as good as this? You and me just seem so perfect for one another. Like there is no one else in the world for each other."
"Exactly." Tara snuggled in closer to the redhead. A song came on. "I wish that we could dance. I remember that first dance we had. It was simply amazing the two of us together."
"It felt like we were floating on air." Willow wrapped her arm around the blond's waist. "And we will be able to do that someday soon. After all, I'm up and about now. Well, with the use of some medical equipment. Give me a little time and I'll be as good as new. We have nothing to worry about. Trust me."
"I do. I trust you with my life." Tara sighed heavily. This is how things were supposed to be. She remembered her childhood and she remembered all the bad things that had happened to her. This was her time now. Time for good.
But yet, in the back of her mind, she couldn't help but think how there was something out there. Something that could cause her so much pain.
And of course she knew what that was. It was her father. Not that he would every really every be her father. He was just some jackass that happened to be the one to share her DNA. And that was it.
It was always said that she looked exactly like her mother growing up. And that she had the same mannerisms as her as well. Not that she would remember. After all, her mother had been sick since she was two.
And it was all because of that man. The bastard. The one that should be punished. But instead he was free somewhere. The police said that they were still looking for him. But she wondered one thing. If he didn't want to be found, would he? And that sent shivers up and down her spine.
