Chapter 3

The battle continued without either side waning or giving in. It was a flurry of swords as the two foes relentlessly attack the other with swing after swing. The swings got more and more relentless until John was finally able to disarm Nick. Nick was on the ground not daring to look at the man who had just beat him. He then looked up slightly with an angry look on his face. John stood before him and lowered his sword so it was right between his eyeballs.

"Will you surrender, or do you feel the need to provoke me further? I told you I wasn't scared of you anymore and that I don't need to hide behind an all-powerful dragon to beat you." John said

"Fine. You win for now Frapna but be warned, this is far from done!!!" Nick said as a black car parked in the parking lot near by. Nathan Stabman emerged from the car. He had been secretly watching from surveillance cameras on the school building. He was intrigued at John's strength.

"Well, well, well. That was an impressive display from both of you. I've not seen anything that intriguing since your father stood up to me at the office. I am most impressed!" Nathan said almost laughing

All Nick could do was hang his head in shame. He knew he had failed his father and that he wasn't going to get off easy this time. This time would mean the end of Nick's title as leader of the crusaders. He was sure of it.

"I'm like my father in many ways Mr. Stabman. I don't quit just because some stupid jerks how powerful families." John replied

"Indeed. I can see that you have the same defiant look in your eyes. I see you also didn't need that dragon to win this time. But even so, if you think you are going to get off beating us all without him, you will suffer for it. Good day, Jonathan. Let us be off now, Nick!" Nathan replied before leaving.

Nathan and Nick left and just as the car disappeared from John's view, a black dragon that looked similar to Bahamut appeared. Bahamut landed in front of John immediately. John said nothing, as he knew Bahamut had more experience and didn't want John to do anything foolish.

"Tiamat! What are you doing here!?" Bahamut said angrily

"Well, if it isn't Bahamut. I should ask you the same question!" Tiamat answered

"I'm here to assist the chosen one! What are you doing here!?" Bahamut asked again

"I'm here to warn the 'chosen one' as you call him not to interfere with my plans!" Tiamat answered

"Your plans?!!" John asked aloud

"Yes human. I have plans that I don't want you to interfere with! I plan to create complete chaos in this world and create a new conflict that will threaten the entire world's future!!!" Tiamat boasted

"You don't mean your trying to?" Bahamut started

"Yes! I'm trying to start the next DRAGON WAR!!!" Tiamat proudly boasted

"Dragon war?!!!" John asked scared

"It was a war that was fought 1000 years ago that was started by Tiamat and ended in a stalemate where both sides agreed to live away from each other." Bahamut explained

"You think I'll just stand by and let you do that?!!" John shouted at Tiamat, his fear gone

"It's not like you have a choice!!!" Tiamat retorted as he flew away laughing all the while.

"This is bad. If Tiamat succeeds..." Bahamut said

"The world's doomed. We have to stop him!" John finished Bahamut's sentence

That's when John flew off with Bahamut to the dragon world. He HAD to warn the council. Things were getting more complex than he thought.

The End...for now I may make a sequel. Please review!!!
