New chapter, hope you all love it! I really like writing, I've never really sat down and written a complete story before. It's fun, please tell me how I'm doing ^.~

The ground shook hard as Kirara's claws powerfully struck the earth. A light roar heard as the fierce feline shrunk to the size of an ordinary cat. Sango had finally broken, and Inuyasha was slowly prying her fingers from Miroku's body, his warmth was leaving him, escaping his body like the thick liquid from his reopened wounds. Kagome struggled to hushed the sobbing girl. "Sango, everything will be alright, please let go." She stroked her friends wet cheeks, But everything was a blur to her. The moment was just to much for her to handle and Kagome's words were drowned in her screaming thoughts.
Inuyasha had managed to pull Miroku from Sango's distraught grasp, a task that he knew wasted precious time. Fear lunged in his abdomen as his comrade lay before him. As much as he hid it from the others, the feeling was fresh in his mind. He frowned as the stench of Miroku's blood hit his nostrils full force. Of course Kagome could tend to Miroku's dire wounds, but Sango needed someone, just as much as the fading monk, and Inuyasha was not that person. He undid the monks robe and revealed the Houshi's soaked bandages, and the blood oozing at the gaps between cloth and skin.
"Kagome!" He calmly growled. She nodded and flung her pale yellow school bag his way, still comforting Sango. Tears with held in her eyes. I'll help him as soon as Sango has some what calmed. She thought. Inuyasha looked for the metal zipper and pulled on it, faintly remembering the time Kagome had spent telling him about it while Miroku and Sango happily bickered. Deep in his soul he wished for that time, but disappointedly, the scene before him did not falter. Sango still cried into Kagome's arms and Miroku lay before them barely alive.
Shippo had rebuilt the dying fire, and it's warmth basked against Inuyasha's rough, yet smooth skin, as he worked new bandages around Miroku's wounds. He noticed his pale skin, and barely heaving chest, and bit his bottom lip, almost piercing the delicate skin with a fang. After quite some time he finally fell back, sweat etched on his forehead as he stared at the bandages. Some sense of relief over coming his hazel eyes as he noted the blood had stopped. A thought drifted into his mind as he wiped the warm sweat from his brow. Out of every fight I'd ever battled in my life, not one seems to measure up to the fierce fight against death.
Sango's soft whimpering had finally seized yet she still clung to Kagome, hiding her face from the reality she knew was around her. "Sango, I'm going to give him some medicine now. I'll be right back, alright." The sun burned her irritated eyes, as Kagome crawled over to her bag. The warmth from the fire exploding goose bumps against her skin. She flung the bag upside down and emptied it's remnants onto the dry grass. She had prepared well, nearly everything they needed was planted in that bag. Unfortunately although, the antidote for poison from her era never wa/s/ strong enough to fully diminish the Samyosho's poison in the past. All it could do was help the Houshi fight his own battle. And from the looks of it this time, he seemed to be loosing. "Aah" Kagome's softly exclaimed as she held the Antidote in the air. "Here it is!" A cheerful yet clearly fake smile compassed her face.
Inuyasha had found a resting place against the maple tree, nearly the same spot Sango had clung to as she watched Miroku the night before. He looked agitated, and his ear twitched at every crackle from the fire. He glimpsed at Sango for a moment, but swiftly looked away when her gaze found his. He knew deep in his heart that she was having the roughest time with the situation. Although after her little episode she looked exceptionally strong. Just as she always did.
"Hmph." Kagome stuck out her bottom lip and blew. Emptying her breath into her face, her bangs flying wildly for the moment. "W-what is it Kagome?" Sango's voice was again calm and sweet. "He won't swallow the medicine." A frown over took her face as she sputtered her next words. "Someone is going to have to... give it by mouth." She could feel her cheeks growing warm with embarrassment. "Haha, just what he's always wanted." Inuyasha called out with an aching grin. "To bad the perverts lights are out at the moment." His mind beckoning him that he's going a little to far, and so he stopped. Kagome looked a worried eye at Inuyasha, and he shrugged with discontent. "There's no way these.." He pointed a claw at his puckered lips. "Are going to touch those..." A shudder running through his body as he crossed his arms and rested them in his sleeve as he usually did.
"I'll do it!" Sango looked agitated as she rolled her eyes and headed towards Miroku. Thinking to herself that their lack of mature ness was wearing away more of the Monk's precious time. "Look away, and please be /mature/.." She eyed Inuyasha as she hissed her last word. His eyes widened in shock but knew there was some truth to it. Sango peered at them both as she watched them turn around. "Noo peeking." A weak smile came across her face as she remember the words, she had said them plenty of times to Miroku. And desperately hoped that she would be able to soon again.
She emptied some of the bottles contents into her mouth. It tasted sweet, like some sort of fruit, but couldn't quite place it. She set the bottle on the ground and pulled an arm under Miroku's neck. Lifting him up on her folded legs. She gently pushed his head back, as she did his lips parted, and she saw that they were dried and cracked. His bangs flipped backwards from gravity. Revealing the forehead she rarely saw. With his hair out of his eyes he seemed so much happier, as if his hidden face retracted the sadness he had felt all his life. She braced herself as she pinched his nose with her slender fingers and lowered her lips to his, the exhale of his breath fiery against her skin. She locked onto his mouth, never to let go until he swallowed. She remembered their kiss before he had succumbed to the pain. It was so warm and alive. Now it was unresponsive and empty. But it's not a kiss... She tried to remind herself over and over again. Sadness creeping in with the thought. She saw his skin tingeing blue, as he did not draw in air, and her heart beat rattled. Swallow, oh god swallow please. Her thoughts were urgent but she knew he could not hear them. His fingernails grazed the ground as his hand limply moved to Sango's will. Her eyes flickered wide as she saw the blew growing bolder. Swallow, you idiot! She felt disgusted, she was suffocating him! The seconds her lips touched his turned to minutes, and she thought it was time she let him breath, but if he did not swallow now. Then... Then maybe we're to late. She thought. The thought had almost settled until his body suddenly heaved for breath, but chocked on the liquid present in his mouth. Swallowing most of it. She let go immediately, allowing him to suck in the air he'd been deprived of. She sighed a sigh of relief. Scared half to death that he might have finally given up.
Inuyasha's ears flickered at Miroku's weak coughing. "Took him long enough." He muttered. He and Kagome turned to see Sango, paler than she'd been, resting her head on Miroku who was lying in her lap. "He swallowed it..." She whispered, relief written all over her face. The blue was slowly fading from his skin, as he drew in more and more breath. "Sango, he needs about 4 more sips." Kagome informed, nodding her head as she eyed the bottle a ways away. "Figures", Sango said, a little cheery this time. She felt pleased that they still hadn't learned of Miroku and her finally declaring their love fore one another.
She rolled her eyes, playfully this time, and they smiled and turned around once again.
Again and again she emptied the liquid to his mouth, and slowly but surely he swallowed it. Every time their lips touched, she felt his growing warmer. Filling with life. She was happy, her heart leaping a bit as she touched his head to the dry grass on the ground.
Kagome and Inuyasha turned around at the sound of her footsteps. Relieved to see his color returning and his breathing becoming stronger. "Good job Sango!" Kagome exclaimed. "He's looking better already." A smile creeping over her face, this time it was real.
"We better find a place to rest." Inuyasha informed everyone. As he got to his feet and walked towards Miroku. "Naraku knows we're here. And he knows of Miroku's condition for sure. It's not smart for us to camp her, now that the pervert is stable." He cracked his fingers, the way Kagome hated and bent down to carry his unconscious friend. "I'll carry him, riding on Kirara will be harsh on his wounds. I sniffed out a village not far from here when we were searching for you two Sango. I'm sure we can rest there." Kagome and Sango couldn't help but agree... he was right.

Sango scratched Kirara behind one ear, waking her from her sleep. Shippo lay next to her, he had also dozed off. "Kirara we're moving girl." The cat gave a meow as she nuzzled Sangos hand and transformed into her larger form. Grabbing Shippo gently by the color of his robe with her teeth. Inuyasha lead the way, his footsteps heavy as he carried Miroku in his arms. His head hung back over Inuyasha's forearm, the muscles in his neck bulging oddly, his skin color still quite pale. The arm opposite from Inuyasha's chest dangled in the air limply. His head bobbing at every footstep. Inuyasha looked down at his form for a moment. If it wasn't for the warmth he felt on his skin he would have sworn that Miroku was dead. He looked up again abruptly and continued walking. The girls following him close behind.
