Delilah's POV
I screamed and tried to push Julius out of the way. I succeded the bullet hit me in the chest, I screamed as I fell to the floor. Julius came running up to me and put my head on his lap.
"delilah, why did you do that?" he asked tears in his eyes.
"you were willing to sacrafice yourself for me and I couldn't let you do that" I said through the pain. Julius quickly called Al and told him to send an ambulance. I closed my eyes, so I could focus on breathing.
"de? are you still there?"He asked holding my hand, his tears dripping on me. I squeezed his hand. The ambulance came and Julius let go of my hand , with the little strength i had i moaned
"julius"
Julius' POV
The nurses were trying to get him in the ambulance and I tried to get in
"you can't go unless you imediate family" she said
"i'm all she has " I said to her
"whats your name sir" she asked
"julius" I said She was talking to another nurse when I heard her moan
"julius" I ran up to her the nurse just sighed and drove very quickly to the hospital
I sat in the back with Delilah
"oh de please don't leave me" I cried to myself still not letting go of her hand, she gave it the lightest squeeze.We arrived at the hospital and I was told to wait in the waiting room. I was pacing back and forth when Al and Scarlette came bursting in and came up to me.
"what happened Julius" Al asked. I told them the whole story. Scarlette gave me a hug then went to talk to the doctor.
I sat down to talk to Al.
"Julius how are you feeling?" he dared to ask
"I feel horrible it's all my fault and now she might die and I never told her how much I loved her" I said
"it's going to be okay man" he said putting an arm around me. Just then the doctor came out, I jumped up and ran to him
"is she okay? can I see her?" I blurted out
"yes she is, and yes you can" he said, but before I could run to go see her he said "but theres some bad news" he said
"what is it?" I was scared of the aswer
"she's in a coma, the bullet luckely missed her heart by 2 inches, but you can go see her if you want" he said
Without hesitation I ran to her room. I opened the door and tears came to my eyes she was hooked up to all sorts of machines and she was so pale. I ran up to her and took her hand
"oh delilah please don't leave me, i'm so sorry you can't die" I said sobbing.
Delilah's POV
I woke up feeling relly light I looked around to see I was out of my body, then I saw Julius holding my hand bawling his eyes out repeating
"delilah please don't die I love you"
"oh Julius" I said looking at him. I tried to touch him but my hand went right through him, then there was a voice behind me
"scary huh" it said. I spun around to see it was a lady in a cloak
"what do you want?" I asked in fear
"Don't be afraid I am here to guide you through your near death experience" she said
"so I'm not going to die" I asked
" you will unless you can find out why you had this near death experience" she said
"how do I do that?" I questioned.
"hold my hand and were going to take a trip back in time" she said, I did as I was told and there was a flash of light....
