Chapter 7 Just a Mirror

Riku slowly stirred from sleep only to find that he had the biggest headache he had ever had in his life. Seriously it felt as if someone had stuck a red hot poker up his nose and stirred around the brains on the inside. It was like a normal hangover if during that hangover you were sitting in between two gongs and they were constantly banging.

He slowly sat up, and took a good look at his surroundings. The first thing that really stood out was the enormous bed he was currently occupying. The obvious size, and of course the deep red velvet and silk bedding, gave him the inclination that wherever he was whoever owned it had to be rich. Because seriously not only were they the most comfortable sheets he had cuddled up with, but the bed could literally fit about 20 people in it. It was just ridiculous, because really who needs a bed that big?

The second thing that really struck alarm bells in his pounding head was the fact that some stranger, gorgeous stranger, but a stranger none the less was sitting in the chair right next to his bed watching him sleep.

As soon as he saw the glowing green eyes on him he jumped further back into the bed and pulled the expensive sheets up to his chin. So okay it wasn't the most manly thing he could have done at the time, but appearance be damned, he was after all pretty confused and freaked out at the moment.

"What the hell is going on?" Riku tried not to let the fear show in his voice, but when the silver haired man reached out to him he squeeked, so he was pretty sure playing it cool wasn't going to be an option anymore.

After Riku had flinched away from him, the stranger huffed and stood up, making the boy really wish that he were a bit taller. Seriously not only did the gave have a great body, awesome hair, and a gorgeous face, but he was fucking tall too. Wait a second...was that a wing? If he wasn't so scared shitless at the moment he might actually be a little turned on by his little situation.

"There's no reason to be so jumpy Riku." The man grabbed a long leather coat from the chair and swung it onto his back. "I have no intention of harming you."

Riku had a feeling that was supposed to be reassuring, but it only served to freak him out all the more. How did he know his name? And still the most important question. "Seriously where the fuck am I?" Riku was getting a little hysterical by this point, and actually gave a very girly scream when he felt something rub up against his leg.

The silver haired teenager flew out of the bed, and grabbed a pillow, fully prepared to maim whatever had attempted to kill him if need be. His chest was heaving and he was pretty sure he had already had about ten heart attacks this morning. Fully expecting a monster of some sort to come slinking out from beneath the sheets, he was rather surprised when a small little bunny came hopping out from underneath the silk.

Now as strange as all of this was, the stranger part was that he felt like he remembered the rabbit, but he was mildly sure he had never seen the thing in his life. During his state of contemplation a hand came to rest on his shoulder, and because of this two things happened really fast. Riku swung the pillow he was holding towards his attacker, and his attacker caught the pillow that was heading towards his face before it ever came close to touching him.

"Jumpy aren't we?" The man let go of the pillow, and it slipped unnoticed through Riku's fingers. He was nervous the entire time, but this was the first time he felt like he might actually be in danger. Those eiry green eyes were staring down on him, and with just one look he got the shivers.

Whatever might be going on here he knew that he was definitely not in control of the situation. In fact he didn't think he could become less in control. He had no idea what he was doing in this strange place, he had no idea why he had no idea, and most importantly he had no idea how dangerous this stranger might be.

"Who..." Riku clenched his hands and tried to stop his voice from shaking. "Who are you?" He continued to stare into the haunting eyes, and as what happened before with the rabbit, he realized that he already knew the answer to his own question. "Sephiroth?"

This actually caused the man to smile, though Riku really wouldn't describe it as a smile. It was more like a twisted sinister smirk that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. "I'm impressed Outlander...you actually have retained some of your memories. Though I doubt you have many...am I right?"

"No." Well that was his first reaction anyways. A finely shaped eyebrow rose at the comment, as if he already knew the real answer. He was always taught not to show an enemy your weaknesses? Though he wasn't exactly sure if Sephiroth was his enemy. The fact was that he was probably the only one that could help him figure out what was going on with him. "Well maybe." Riku put on a cocky smirk and tried to at least act like he was about to have a breakdown. "I don't suppose you want to explain why that is do you?"

Sephiroth once again smirked and without a glance started to pull on his gloves. "I don't suppose I do." Riku was pretty sure that if he could see himself at the moment his jaw would be dragging on the floor and his face would be a nice shade of red.

"What!?" Sephiroth looked up from his task boredily. "No." Riku started shaking his head. "You can't just not tell me! That's just cruel...it's unfair...it's."

"I'm sure you'll get over it." He was about to tell the little bastard that he would certainly not get over, but then said bastard attached the biggest sword he had ever seen to a holster on his hip, and the comment just sort of died in his throat. Sephiroth seemed to notice his lack of rebuttle for he went on as if nothing had happened. "We've wasted enough time." Slanted eyes turned towards him. "Come. I have to introduce you to the witch, and then she can deal with you."

Riku couldn't help but scowl at that. Here he was in a very confusing situation, and the bastard couldn't even try to be a little nice. "Oh gee thanks...I feel real loved now." It was a common fact that when he got pissy pretty much every single thing out of his mouth was some sort of sarcastic comment.

Sephiroth was on his way out of the door at the time, but at the half mumbled comment he stopped in his tracks. Riku immediately regretted saying anything at all when the man swung around to glare at him. "Let's get one thing straight brat you are nothing more than a burden. In fact you're a burden placed upon me by a burden." Sephiroth stalked forward, and before Riku even had a chance to think, had grabbed him by the chin. "So understand that making you happy is not on the top of the list of my priorities." The grip on his chin relinquished, but the glare stayed. "You should be thankful you have friends in high places or I would have killed you the moment I saw you." Sephiroth turned back towards the door, but before leaving looked over his wingless shoulder. "Now let's go, Maleficent is waiting." It was a lot to take in at the moment, so all Riku could do was give a stiff nod and follow Sephiroth to meet this so called witch.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The walk through the castle was surprisingly difficult. Part of the reason was due to the fact that Riku's knees were still shaking from Sephiroth's earlier comment about wanting to kill him. The other reason was because of all of the creatures that would show up and fight the man. There were many different shapes of them, but they all had glowing yellow eyes in common. He was pretty sure he had heard Sephiroth call them heartless, but he wasn't too sure because the statement hadn't really been directed towards him, it was more or less mumbled under the silver haired warriors breath. Somehow he doubted that the man would ever really tell him anything of use on purpose.

Now the fact that there were strange creatures everywhere was strange, but oddly enough that wasn't what was weird. What was really off pudding about the whole situation was the fact than whenever one of these heartless would even come around him, they would take a good look at him and run the other way to fight Sephiroth instead. Riku really had no idea why this was, but he was too enthralled at the moment to really care. Sephiroth was in short amazing. He almost moved too fast to see, but when you did you saw the graceful arc of his sword slicing through their dark hearts with ease. The feathery wing attached to his back let him fly through the air, and pretty soon every single heartless had evaporated into thin air.

Sephiroth landed right in front of him, and all Riku could do was stare. The most frightening part about all of this was that this extremely scary individual had admitted to wanting to murder him. When the man caught site of Riku's awe, he did nothing but sneer. "We're almost there, the chapel is just up here."

Not really knowing what to say, Riku said the first dumbass thing that came to his head. "That's good news." Sephiroth didn't even bother to respond to that, and instead led him through the chapel doors.

Riku was in shock on how magnificent the room was. For one, like everything else in this castle, it was absolutely humongous. But besides that fact it was also breathtakingly gorgeous. He was a little confused by what appeared to be seven empty caskets adorning the floor and walls, but he let it go. Really what business was it of his? In all reality he was probably lucky to be alive at the moment, so he didn't really think pushing his luck would be that good of an idea.

"Oh Riku I'm so happy you're finally awake." Riku had to bite his tongue to stop the shiver that wanted to rack his spine and turn him into a gooey mess. That voice was so cold, so sinister, it just sounded evil. Aqua eyes looked forward so as to place a face to that voice, and was just as creeped out by the person the voice belonged to.

It was like he was living in a nightmare land. She couldn't possibly be human. No humans don't look like that. Maleficent's skin was a dark sickly green color, and he eyes were almost purely black, as was the rest of her get up. Her lips curled into a sinister smile as she leaned against her staff, and a creepy ass crow leaned forwards from his spot on her shoulder and nibbled on her ear.

After a few uncomfortable moments Riku realized that he had been spoken to, and in haste just choked out a response. "Uh yeah...thank you for bringing me here."

Her eyes rose a little at the comment, and she seemed to give a half laugh into the back of her hand. "Oh dear boy you shouldn't be thanking me, I had nothing to do with your arrival." She jestured towards the silver hair warrior who was standing quietly to the side. "Sephiroth was the one who cared enough to bring you to me."

Even more confused, Riku turned towards Sephiroth. "Er...thanks?" Apparently he wasn't very convincing, or the man really didn't give a fuck. For all he did was scoff, and without the slightest sign that he had heard Riku at all, instead turned to Maleficent.

"I brought him to you witch, now as for our deal." Yeah apparently Sephiroth wasn't a very patient person, Riku scoffed to himself, as if he didn't know that little tidbit already. But the statement was rather curious. What could Sephiroth possibly be getting from Maleficent? He had a feeling that if at the moment he tried to ask either of him he'd probably be in a lot of pain really soon.

Maleficent walked over to where Sephiroth stood, and slowly reached a hand out, stroking his cheek. "My dear Sephiroth, have patience, you'll find him soon enough."

The hand that had been resting on his cheek was suddenly grabbed and then twisted into what looked to be a rather painful position. The black wing on his back flared and he used the leverage he had with her arm to pull the witch towards him, and place one hand over her windpipe.

"Listen to me bitch if you ever touch me again you'll be dead faster than you could possibly imagine." Sephiroth squeezed the neck even harder, causing the witch to gasp. "Now tell me what I need to know."

Riku was pretty sure that no one would look down on him if he were to decide to just run out of here at the moment, and yet he was too frightened to get his legs to move. Maleficent was way braver than he could ever be, for she held his gaze the entire time the life was being drained from her. When her palid skin was turning a disgusting blackish purple from lack of oxygen Sephiroth released his hold on her neck, letting her stumble back into a dignified position.

The witch rubbed at her no doubt aching neck, but was still as cool and collected as she had ever been. The staff raised in her hand, and with a flick of it what appeared to be a portal appeared out of thin air. "You need to go see Hades, he'll tell you all you need to know." She pointed towards the portal and without hesitation he made his way over to it.

If you asked him right now, Riku would definitely say that to seem him parting held no sweet sorrow. In fact he sort of felt like jumping in the air for joy and then maybe dancing the jig. The guy was just scary, if not a little insane. Though it seemed that Riku had began to celibrate too early, because Sephiroth looked over his shoulder right back at him.

"Do try to keep yourself out of trouble. I don't want to be seeing you for quite awhile." Riku did his best to nod, but he had a feeling that he probably didn't move. At the moment he was way too frozen by fear to be able to nod to such a request. Though Sephiroth seemed to take it as an answer, because he turned back around and stepped through the portal. Then as if he had never been there in the first place, Sephiroth was gone.

Riku swallowed the lump that had been forming in his throat, and turned back towards Maleficent. "He's not really as scary as he seems is he?" Half of her mouth curled into a knowing smile as she stepped closer to where he was standing.

"Oh I'm afraid Sephiroth's bark is every bit as bad as his bite." You know somehow he wasn't surprised by that fact. Though not that he was gone there was a chance that Riku might actually get an explanation to what the hell was going on.

"I know that Sephiroth is a pretty big bastard, but I don't think that he would leave me here helpless. So do you have answers for me?" She gave that same coy smile again, and yet Riku felt it in his heart that she would help him.

"Well dear boy that all depends." Her eyes were alight with mischief, and Riku couldn't help but be a little confused.

"Depends on what?" Did she want something from him? Because really he couldn't think of anything of value that he possible had. Maleficent fingered him towards her, and he couldn't help but lean forward.

"It depends on if you have questions." Okay so she had pretty much just assured him that she would answer anything he wanted, but he still couldn't help but feel a little annoyed at it all. By the smug look on the witch's face it was obvious that at least she was enjoying herself.

He decided to let his obvious disdain for the woman slide, and instead took the initiative to find out what had happened to him. "Where am I?"

Maleficent motioned around the whole chapel area. "You are in the castle of Hollow Bastion." Riku gave a curt nod, but then realized a sudden fact. Even though it was nice to put a name to where he was, he still had no idea how he had gotten there. In fact he couldn't remember a single thing since he had sunk through the darkness.

"Why can't I remember how I got here?" Maleficent turned around and motioned for him to follow her through the doorway. Riku did this without question and they both ended up into what appeared to be a throne room. The witch made her way over to the throne and took a seat.

"I'm not surprised that you don't remember how you got here, you were indisposed when Sephiroth brought you here." Oh. Well at least that explained a little bit of it. It still didn't explain how Sephiroth found him in the first place, or what he meant by him having friends in high places. "Though I am a little shocked that you think this sudden lapse in memory." She leaned forward on her throne. "I mean it's not like it hasn't happened before."

Riku felt his eyes grow wide at her obvious knowledge of his past. There was no way she could possibly know about that. No one knew about that! It had happened on his 15th birthday. Apparently it was the first time he had ventured into the secret place since him and Sora were kids, and he wanted to brave himself over a dare. The next thing he knew it was a week later and he couldn't remember anything that had happened for the last four months.

For the next few weeks he had been poked and prodded by every doctor his father's high paying job could afford him, and they had found no real reason why he had such extreme memory loss. In fact they diagnosed him as one of the healthiest kids they had ever seen.

Since no one could explain it, that meant by his family bi-laws that no one could talk about it. His parents acted as if nothing had happened, and just continued on in their bad parenting ways. Regardless of the fact that Riku very nearly almost lost it because of it. It was after all a pretty big shock to the system to find that four months of your life had just one day up and vanished.

He had become more distant from everyone on the island after that. In truth he thinks they became more distant from him as well. After all who wants to play with the weird kid? Sora and Kairi had really been the only ones to stick by him through it all. But really he only thought Kairi did it because Sora was there, and really she came from another world, so in all honesty she was just as weird as he was.

So given all of that past information, he came to the conclusion that Maleficent should really not know about that. "How? How the hell do you know about that!"

The witch simply smirked. "I have many powers that some might consider unnatural." This was all a lot of information to digest. But through it all one question kept running over and over through Riku's mind.

"Is it possible to get those memories back?" The witch placed a finger underneath her chin in contemplation.

"I suppose I might be inclined to let you view your most important memories from that period of time if." Riku's jaw clenched. There was always a price wasn't there?

"If?" He growled out. Maleficent seemed to be amused by his anger.

"We'll get to what you'll do for me later." Riku scowled at the conniving witch. "Do you want to see your memories or not?" This just sucked. Of course he wanted to see what had happened to him, but that didn't mean that he wanted to be indebted to this woman. Plus what if all that he saw was four months worth of childish games and ocean gazing. Because really that's all that his life was, so why should these few months be any different? Though even as he was contemplating he knew he really had no choice in the matter. There was only one answer he could give her.

"Yes..." Riku shut his eyes. If he had given the right answer then why did it feel like he had just signed his soul away to the devil?

His answer actually caused Maleficent to give a genuine smile. "Very good Riku..." She pointed her staff towards the wall and a what looked like a movie screen made out of liquid metal appeared on the wall. "Now look upon the past that you never knew existed."

Riku stared into Sora's impossibly blue eyes, and stated his next question with a smirk. "So do you like her?" He snickered at how deep the brunette blushed at such a simple question.

"Well I...Umm I...Riku stop laughing at me!" This only caused the silver haired boy to crack up even harder. Sora hit him in the arm, but still the laughter was relentless. "You dork stop laughing!" It was becoming increasingly difficult to breathe, and Riku felt that he was definitely going to die from lack of oxygen. "I do like her!" He immediately stopped laughing. "Are you happy now?"

"No." A now sober Riku sat up from where he had rolled over while laughing. He knew the answer to that question, so why then was he so upset when the answer he had been expecting poured out of Sora's mouth?

Sora was giving him a scared look, as if he had done something wrong, and in order to avoid what was about to come Riku took immediate action. He waved his hand in dismissal towards his friend. "Don't worry about it...it's nothing."

"Umm Riku?" He turned towards his friend who was nervously biting at his bottom lip.

"Yeah?" Despite how much he wanted to be in a sulky depressed mood, he just couldn't be bitchy with Sora. So he did his best to put on his 'I'm interested' face for his friend.

The brunette ran a nervous hand through his hair, and did his best to look down at the floor. "Do you think that if I asked Kairi out she would be my girlfriend?" It was like someone had ripped open his chest and crushed his heart. Why was he feeling this way? Why couldn't he breathe anymore?

He put on a fake smile for his friend's sake. "It's you Sora...who could possibly resist?"

Riku lay face down on his tree branch, just letting his arms dangle off the sides. The sky was a mixture of pinks and purples due to the fact the sun was just about to set. He really should be heading home, but he just didn't feel like it. It was a nice cool night, and honestly all he wanted was just some peace.

He was knocked out of his reprieve when someone grabbed one of his dangling hands. Riku turned his head to whoever might have snuck up on him, and wasn't in the least bit surprised to see Sora standing there.

Just because he wasn't surprised, didn't mean he was in the mood. Riku pulled his hand from Sora's, ignoring the hurt look on the boy's childish face. "What are you doing here? I thought you were gonna ask Kairi to the movies tonight." His voice was a little cold, but he couldn't help it. He just wasn't in a good mood today.

"I haven't asked her yet, I wanted to ask you about something first." Riku turned over on his stomach so that his back was now towards Sora.

"Yeah well ask me later. I'm too tired right now." He knew that if he were facing him, he would see the look of extreme hurt cross Sora's features.

"Why are you being like this?" Riku sighed. He could already tell that this wasn't going to end well.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He so knew what he was talking about. For the past week and a half he had been doing anything possible to avoid being around the small brunette. Though for the life of him he couldn't tell you why.

"Did I do something to make you angry?" Sora's voice was starting to shake. "Are you still my friend at all?" Riku's eyes shut when he heard the boy sniffle. He had never intended to make him cry.

He quickly jumped off of the tree branch and went to stand in front of the brunette. "What? Of course you are!" Riku wiped the tear from Sora's face. "You did nothing wrong Sora. I've just been in a bitchy mood lately."

Another sniffle could be heard, but Riku didn't panic seeing as how Sora was smiling. Now that the current crisis was adverted he felt like he should actually try to be civil. "So what is it you wanted to ask me?"

At the sudden question Sora blushed a deep red and looked the other way. Well now he was interested, whatever Sora wanted to ask was obviously pretty important, and embarrassing by the looks of it. "Well...I...I want..." Seriously Riku was debating on whether or not it was possible to turn redder than what Sora had become. Blue eyes suddenly snapped up to meet his. "I want you to teach me how to kiss!"

Whatever Riku had been expecting the question to be, that was definitely at the bottom of the list. Had he really heard the right? Judging from the way Sora was trembling he would guess that he had. From the look Riku was giving him, Sora obviously felt that he needed to go into some sort of explanation.

"Well it's just that I really want to go out with Kairi, and well I heard about what you do in movies, and I don't want to look like an idiot...that's why I've put off asking her out. And I heard Selphie telling everyone about what happened when the two of you went out." Sora turned his puppy dog eyes on full blast. "So please..."

"Alright." Riku's voice was far away, but not near as far away as his head. It was like all of his functions had shut down, and now he only had an automated response.

Sora immediately perked up. "Great!" He fell down into the sand, sitting Indian style. Riku reluctantly joined him, his mind still on another planet. He could do this! Why was he stressing so much? Really it wasn't that big of a deal.

Riku stared forward at the eagerly awaiting boy and wondered how the hell he was supposed to do this? "Okay well first you have to remember to always close your eyes when you kiss." As soon as he said it, Sora's eyes shut. Gulping, Riku went on. "Always remember to gently massage the other person's mouth...never mash." Sora's lips began to move, but after a few seconds he got a confused look on his face.

He quirked a small smile. "I don't suppose it would be too weird if you showed me real quick would it?" Riku stared at him as if he had grown a second ear. "I promise I won't tell anyone, and we won't ever have to talk about it again." Sora put his two fingers up. "Scouts honor."

Without ever realizing he had done it, Riku felt himself nod. Sora also gave a slight nod, and once more shut his eyes. The silver haired boy took a breath to stop his heart from racing, and also shut his eyes. Well it was now or never.

Riku slowly leaned forward until he could feel Sora's warm breath on his own lips. Then placing both hands on either side of the brunette's hips, he quickly connected their mouths. It was like heaven. He had never felt so much as if his heart would burst as he did at the moment. It was like the world made sense now. It was like kissing Sora was the one thing to complete him.

He began to slowly massage Sora's mouth with his, and he felt the boy timidly trying to copy his movements. Riku opened his mouth a little more so that there lips meshed perfectly together, and he could taste Sora's mouth.

Not being able to control himself anymore, Riku entwined one of his hands through Sora's soft locks, pulling there mouths, if possible, closer together. Sora was still kissing, and had now began to lean back, making Riku begin to loose his balance and slide with him. When Sora's back hit the sand, Riku slowly peeled his mouth away to look down at the boy he was currently lying on.

Sora's eyes opened and he looked just as confused as Riku felt. "Riku?" Quickly Riku placed a leg on either side of Sora's hips so that he wasn't completely laying on him anymore. He was vaguely aware that one of his hands was still in Sora's hair, and that the other was resting on his hip, but he couldn't bring himself to move at the moment.

"Yeah Sora?" His voice was barely above a whisper, but then again it didn't need to be. Their faces were inches apart, and Riku at the moment was finding it hard enough just breathing.

"Can you kiss me again?" Sora gave a small smile, and Riku couldn't help but smile back. That is of course before he leaned down, once more capturing the brunette's lips

Sora's legs were wrapped around his waist as they continued to go in and out of the water. There normal make out session had led towards the waterfall in the middle of the island, and now they were just struggling for breath.

Pulling Sora's lips once more to his, Riku once more dunked them both underneath the water. While making out, Riku hastily unzipped Sora's red hoody, getting all the contact he possibly could with his now bare chest.

They once more broke out of the water, and this time Riku carried Sora into the small cave behind the waterfall. Laying him on the ground before removing his own shirt. It didn't take long though before Sora had pulled Riku back towards him.

As pathetic as this might seem, Riku was incredibly close to climax from just the friction alone, and he could tell Sora was too. So in an effort to make it better for both of them, Riku grinded both of the bodies together until Sora pulled away from his mouth, screaming out his name. While he was going, Riku had bit onto Sora's pulse, causing the brunette's legs to once again wrap around his waist.

Riku laid his head down on top of Sora's chest. Just content to lay there hearing his heartbeat. His pants were feeling a lot more sticky for the wear, but he didn't really care about that right now. They had never gone any farther than that, but at the time it didn't matter. Riku was perfectly happy just being with Sora, and would be happy to wait until he was ready.

The water from the small pool lapped at both of their feet, and in that small moment Riku didn't think he had ever been happier. After giving Sora's cheek a quick kiss, and an "I love you" which was returned from Sora. Riku rolled off of his nearly lover and lay panting beside him.

"Hey Riku?" Riku's eyes had been closed, but they once again opened at being addressed. Really all he wanted to do was sleep.

"Hmm?" Sora turned on his side and laid his head on Riku's shoulder. Causing him to raise a hand to stroke his wet cinnamon locks.

"I don't want to hide us anymore...I want to tell everyone about it." Well that woke him up. Riku pulled Sora close to him and gave him a kiss on his head.

"Alright babe...we'll tell them on my birthday. It'll be a nice present to me to see their faces." He had never been able to deny Sora anything, so why would this be different? Plus it was Sora's idea not to tell anyone in the first place. Well it was going to be an interesting birthday at least.

Riku turned his head in the sterile white pillow. He had been in the hospital now for three days after his 'accident.' He scoffed at the very notion. They didn't know what had happened to him, so calling it an accident was the best these supposed genius doctors could come up with.

The door burst open, and an excited ball of brown and red jumped into bed with him. A little shocked with why there was suddenly a Sora attached literally to his hip, Riku gently pried the for some reason whimpering boy off him.

As soon as Sora saw his face his once again attached himself, but this time in a hug around the neck. "Oh Riku I'm so glad you're okay...this is the first they would let me in to see you, and I didn't know what was wrong...I was so worried!"

The sucky thing about not having any memory of the past four months, was that you had no idea what you had missed, and seeing as how Sora was suddenly being so clingy he guessed that he had missed something rather important.

Once more prying Sora off of him, he pushed the boy towards the end of the bed. "Damn Sora stop being so clingy...you know if Kairi sees us she might get jealous and think that they're something going on between us." Riku started to laugh and expected Sora to join in, or at least blush, but the boy just looked confused.

"What are you talking about Riku?" Oh! He got it now.

"Oh come on don't tell me that during the four months missing from my head that you and Kairi didn't get together." Sora's eyes immediately widened, and he looked as if he was about ready to cry.

"You...you don't remember anything?" Getting increasingly worried, Riku just shook his head. Though he immediately regretted doing even that, because tear droplets started to cascade down Sora's cheeks.

Riku placed a hand on Sora's shoulder. "Sora what's the matter? Is there something I'm supposed to remember, well I mean other than the normal?" The brunette pushed the hand off of his shoulder, and gave what you could tell was a fake smile.

He made his way off of the bed and towards the hospital door, and before leaving turned to Riku. "No...nothing."

The screen faded, and Riku wiped the tears from his face. He shakily turned back to Maleficent. "No. That's not true. That's impossible!" He had backed himself up against the wall, and was now shaking from what he knew couldn't be true.

"I'm sorry to say my boy that those images were ripped right from your memories." No. It couldn't be. He would remember something like that.

"I would remember being with Sora!" Riku screamed at the witch who had a look that was a mixture between pity and amusement.

Maleficent rose from her throne, and walked over to stand in front of Riku. "The way I see it you can break down over the information you have just learned." She reached out and raised Riku's face to look into her own. "Or you can do something about it."

Of course! Riku hastily wiped away the tears that had fallen down his face. "I have to see Sora. Can you help me find him?"

The witch's eyes lit up at the very prospect. "Of course dear boy, but first you have to keep up your end of the bargain." Oh yeah that...

"What do I have to do?" Maleficent's lips curled upwards and the temperature of the entire room seemed to drop.

"Have you ever heard of the princesses of heart?"
