Chapter 9 You Know That He's Gone

He had had a really good dream, weird, but really really good. What had brought that dream on he had no idea, because really him and Sephiroth? But it didn't change the fact that he had had it, and at least he actually slept. Maybe things were really starting to look up for a change.

Rolling over, he did his best to stretch his arms above his head, finding it only a little weird when his fingertips grazed something feathery. Actually it was something very feathery, almost like a wing.

No way! Riku's eyes snapped open. Sitting up almost instantaneously in the bed to see if his fears were true. His jaw dropped open a little when he saw the body lying next to his. "What the fuck!"

The body had previously been sleeping, but at his exclamation glowing aqua eyes snapped open. "Aw so you're awake. Have a good sleep?" Seriously what the hell was going on here? Because he knew there was no way he could have actually slept with Sephiroth. Biting his lip, he slowly lifted the sheet off his waist to see that he was as naked as the day he was born.

"Holy fucking shit!" A hand reached out to touch his hair, but at the weirdness of the situation he batted it away. "Don't touch me!" He was way too freaked out at the moment to actually be touched by him.

Riku scooted back, not noticed that he was already on the edge of the bed. With a rather large crash, the boy toppled over the side and fell ungraciously to the floor. This didn't matter to him at the moment though, because he was too busy trying to scramble away from his supposed lover. "What the hell is going on here? Why?! Why did you sleep with me?"

Sephiroth slowly got out of bed, leaving Riku with a good view of his nicely toned abs. The man walked over to where Riku was sadly cowering, and offered him a hand. "What can I say I guess I just couldn't resist you anymore."

"That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard!" Okay so he had been a little overzealous with that, but it was still the truth. "You couldn't resist me? You don't even like me." Sephiroth had said as much the night before, that is of course before he had molested him, but still. "I distinctly remember you saying you felt less than nothing for me."

The man shrugged, before reaching down and hauling him to his feet. "Yeah well I guess I had a change of heart." After setting him on the desk, Riku couldn't help but notice how a hand seemed to linger on his chest, slowly drawing patterns on his sternum. "What do you care anyways?" Sephiroth's hand traveled up to his chin, and Riku tried to ignore the chills that went through his body. "You obviously got what you wanted."

Leaning forward, Sephiroth slowly connected their mouths, and strangely enough Riku felt himself melt into the kiss. In fact he didn't even think anything of it until Sephiroth's previous statement sunk in, and once it did he immediately pulled away. "What do you mean I got what I wanted?" He crossed his arms, and looked away. "And tell me all wise and knowing what is it that I could possibly want from the likes of you?"

Riku's face was still turned away, and he felt another face line up perfectly with his. Sephiroth's lips were right next to his ear, and his hand kept slowly stroking his cheek. "You want me to help you forget about the person who rejected you...who betrayed you." His aqua eyes snapped shut when the man began to lay small kisses all up and down his neck, and he did his best not to moan when the hand that had been tracing his chest traveled downwards, lightly ghosting over the sensitive flesh of his thigh.

He was enjoying himself, he wasn't going to deny that, but he still had to make one point well known. As Sephiroth's hand traveled closer and closer to his growing erection, Riku knew he had to get this to stop. Because they couldn't really do this, right? "Is that why you're doing this Sephiroth?" The hand stopped it's descent, as did the lips that were on his neck.

"What?" There was barely controlled fury there, and if Riku had been a smart person he would have let it go right then, but then again when was he ever smart.

"Are you just doing this to try to forget about the person you're looking for? Did he reject you too?" He gasped in surprise when a hand grabbed at his hair, pulling it taut against his head.

A yelp escaped his throat, but he didn't have time to protest because Sephiroth had jumped in. "Let's get this one thing straight brat, you never mention him...ever." Riku wanted to ask how the hell could he mention him when he didn't even know who the fuck he was, but Sephiroth kept talking. "If you ever say anything about him again, not only are we through, but I'll slit your throat." Wow. Now there was just something scary about how calmly the man said that statement, and even more scary was that after saying that he thought it was okay to just go ahead and kiss him again.

He wanted to stop it, really he did, but he was a little distracted by how Sephiroth's hands came under him, lifting him up into his arms. He was unceremoniously thrown onto the bed, and in the next second Sephiroth was crawling on top of him. Not really knowing what else to do, Riku raised his knees to stop him, but those knees were pushed apart with little resistance, allowing the man in between his thighs.

He kissed him again, and Riku noticed how his hand went down to the clasp on his pants. It occurred to him that he should stop this, that this was definitely not what he wanted, but it felt oddly right somehow. He couldn't help the way Sephiroth's touches made him feel, how his kisses felt like heaven, or how for some reason he really wanted to get fucked by him.

The hand that wasn't working on his pants came down to grasp Riku, slowly pumping him to full hardness, and he couldn't help but arch into the touch. It felt so good, and he hadn't felt anything that was good, not in a long time. Sephiroth smirked against his mouth when he felt him respond, all the more willing to give him more of the pleasuring experience.

Sadly though, life wouldn't be that kind. Because it was in that moment when Sephiroth was sliding the leather pants down his waist that the door chose to open. Riku was too into the experience to really notice, but when he heard Sephiroth growl out "What the hell are you doing here?" He thought he outta check it out.

Gasping in surprise, his cheeks immediately tinted red with embarrassment. What the fuck was Maleficent doing here? The sad part was that she didn't seem all that surprised. This little occurrence had only gotten a slightly raised eyebrow from her. "Well I see the two of you are making friends nicely." If possible Riku got redder.

Sephiroth got up from his position atop the boy, and when he did he let quite a few things be seen by the witch. Yelping once again, Riku did his best to scramble behind him, leaving only his head in view over the wingless shoulder. "Don't you know how to knock?"

If she was embarrassed at all with the situation, she didn't show it. In fact she made a move to walk further into the room. "I'm so sorry my dear boy, but I hardly thought there would be a reason I would have to." With that she smirked at him and Sephiroth, and peering over Riku managed to catch a death look on his lover's face.

"You would think witch, since you seem to know so much, that you would know when you hear moans coming from a room not to open the door." He quickly looked back at his blushing face, giving him a look that if it was on anyone other than Sephiroth might be interrupted as concern. He then looked back at the woman, narrowed eyes fully in view. "But then again my bet is that you knew what you would find when you came in here." His voice grew all the more venomous. "I think when your little heartless came back to you last night and told you the plan had failed that you just had to see it with your own eyes."

You know that was just gross. He didn't know what was worse, the fact that she had sent a heartless to screw him, or that she had actually wanted to catch him and Sephiroth in the act. More than grumpy for the wear, Riku bit out his next statement. "What exactly do you want Maleficent?"

"What I've always wanted Riku...to help you." Now he couldn't be sure, but he thought he heard Sephiroth scoff at that. Apparently he didn't buy into her fake kindness and generosity either.

"And what exactly are you going to help him with witch?" Riku quickly made a grab for the sheet, wrapping it around himself as best as he could without becoming too exposed.

Sephiroth's statement had been harsh, but Maleficent obviously wasn't intimidated. Which, although Riku despised the witch, he had to respect her for. The thought of not being intimidated by Sephiroth was insane though in his eyes. Her black eyebrow rose at such a comment. "Why Sephiroth I didn't know you care about his well being so much." He couldn't see the man's face, but he most definitely saw the muscles in his back contract at her words. "You see I've made a deal with Riku to help him find his friend, and in turn he would do something for me."

His lover turned to face him at that. "What friend?" Riku was a little surprised that Maleficent had succeeded this quickly that he didn't even think why Sephiroth even wanted to know.

"It's this girl named Kairi...She was on my island." Feeling that that was explanation enough, he then turned back to Maleficent. "You've found her?"

"Oh I have, but you have to keep up your end of the deal first." His end of the deal? What had it been that he agreed to? Oh yeah, the Princesses of Heart.

"Those princess girls right?" Maleficent curtly nodded, but a nod really did him little good. "I don't suppose you know where any of these girls are do you?" To this Sephiroth scoffed, and pushed himself up out of bed. "Wait! Where are you going?"

The pale haired man redid his pants, not once even looking Riku. "Out. If you're going to be stuck playing errand boy you're not exactly going to be that much fun are you?" Riku resisted the incredible urge to cross his arms and let out a large huff.

Maleficent ignored Sephiroth's antics, and instead went on. "As a matter of fact I have. She's in a world called Agrabah. Her name is Princess Jasmine, and if my information is correct she's not alone." Out of the corner of his eye Riku saw Sephiroth pause at the door.

"What do you mean she's not alone? Who's with her?" The malignant smile that was on her face was enough to give him chills.

"Why that would be your dear friend Sora." It was like someone had killed the noise to the entire room. Everything was put on hold in that moment. This moment of stillness was only broken when Sephiroth seemed to abandon his thoughts of leaving, and walked over to grab Riku's clothes.

"When are you going to send us there witch?" Us? Since when was Sephiroth even coming? He glanced from one to the other. Maleficent looked pleased with this turn of events, and he noticed how Sephiroth's eye seemed to keep twitching in annoyance.

Without looking at him, Riku was assaulted with the clothes he had abandoned the night before. Removing his pants from his face, the boy couldn't help but scowl. Why was it that it felt like everyone was in on this big conspiracy but him? "What exactly do you mean us? Since when are you going?"

"Well I figured I might have overreacted when I said spending time with you wouldn't be fun. Plus somebody has to keep you out of trouble." It was then Sephiroth gave him a look that said precisely one thing. 'Argue with and die' So not really wanting to die, Riku simply smiled and nodded.

Rubbing at the sphere on the top of her staff, Maleficent smiled darkly at the two. "Good. Now shall we get going?" Oh yeah, this was going to be hella fun.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

"Fuckin hell this place is awesome." Okay so his language wasn't the best, but it was true. The place Maleficent had sent this was in short amazing. They had climbed through what looked to be a huge talking lion head, and inside there were mounds and mounds of gold and jewels. But not just that, there were also valuables looked to be worth more than his life. Everywhere he looked sparkled and shined. The sight really took his breath away.

Riku took his time in jumping from pile to pile, grabbing as many rings and necklaces as possible to adorn his self. He grabbed a staff with a huge ruby on it, doing his best to dance the jig on top of a pile. Though he wasn't that good of a dancer, and so while doing so he slipped, and ended up rolling down the pile to end up sprawled on the floor. The crown that he had been wearing had fallen in front of his eyes during the process.

When he pushed the crown back up he saw a leather boot in front of him, and soon stopped his laughing. "Are you done messing around? We do have a job to do you know?"

He apologetically smiled up at his lover, and took the outstretched hand offered to him. "I'm sorry Seph...I'll try to act more professional." His face was slowly stroked, and Sephiroth leaned in to lightly kiss him.

"It's alright...I suppose it is quite a sight." His mouth traveled from his lips to his ear, taking the end to it in his teeth. "And you know you can be rather cute sometimes." Riku's eyes shut when the man's hand traveled to his grown, slightly grabbing it. "But just remember in the future though not to ever call me Seph again."

His eyes shot down to where Sephiroth's other hand was lightly tapping his sword, and couldn't help but gulp at the thought. The man really could be scary sometimes, incredibly sexy, but scary.

Without another word on the subject, Sephiroth pulled away and continued walking down the stretch of this cave of wonders. Catchy name isn't it? Riku shrugged it off and headed after him. He would just have to be aware that the man just had some weird quirks.

As he was walking he did something rather dumb, he thought out loud. "I wonder what I'll do when I see him again...I bet he'll be back to normal. Maybe we can actually talk for a change." He couldn't help it, he really missed Sora. He knew that the last time had to have been some mistake, because Sora wouldn't do that to him.

"Yes I'm sure." Was it his imagination or did Sephiroth sound annoyed? Well then again he probably was annoyed. "But then again maybe he really didn't want you. Maybe he really never did." Well that really put a damper on things didn't it.

Riku stopped in his tracks, noticing how Sephiroth had as well. "You don't know anything about Sora. He was probably just in shock...I know I was."

"Outlander you should really stop lying to yourself. It's getting pathetic." Riku's fists clenched at his side. "You should realize that this Sora doesn't like you anymore." Sephiroth turned back around to face him. "In fact he probably hates you."

Damn, did he always have to be such a jackass? "Fuck you!" To this Sephiroth simply rolled his eyes.

"I'm not in the mood...sorry." His jaw clenched. Why is it again that he had been kissing this bastard all day? "Don't look at me like that Outlander. Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps he really does still love you, and if that's the case I have a present for you."

Not to say he wasn't still mad, but his ears couldn't help but perk up at the sound of that. "Present? You got me a present?" Alright so he had found his weakness. The truth was that he was a very spoiled child. His mother and father made up for being terrible parents by buying him things whenever he would get upset. So yeah it would be easy to say that he was intrigued. "What kind of present?"

Sephiroth smirked. "Well let's just say that I realize you need to be able to defend yourself." It seems he added the next part with great reluctance. "And of course protect Sora, and so when I saw this just now I couldn't resist." Quicker than light the man had jumped behind a pillar and then reappeared carrying what looked to be a sword.

Riku took the gift offered, studying it closely in his hands. The blade was a reddish black, and was in the shape of what appeared to be a wing. His pupils dilated as he saw what appeared to be darkness swirling around the edges. "It's a dragon blade." He looked up at Sephiroth as he continued to speak. "A cursed weapon made from the wing of a dragon. You will never find a stronger blade, and it is impossible to use if you don't have control over the darkness."

He swung the blade through the air, watching as a wave of darkness followed the swing. The strange part was that he didn't seem to have a problem using it, so what exactly did that mean? Did it mean that he had at least partial control over the darkness? No, that couldn't be true. Sephiroth just had to have his facts wrong. As a matter of fact how is it he knew so much? "How do you know so much about it?"

Up until this point he had also been staring at the arc of his swing, but when he was addressed he met Riku's aqua eyes. "Well I guess you could say in another life knowing all forms of weapons was my specialty." As good it was to hear about his lover's past, Riku could tell it was a touchy subject. It seemed to take forever for Sephiroth to snap out of his recollection. "Do you like it?"

At that he couldn't help the ridiculously large grin that spread across his face. "Are you kidding!? Of course I do." Despite that whole darkness thing, the blade seemed to fit him perfectly. He again swung it through the air, doing a half flip that he had been working on the island.

"I'm glad." Funny thing about that though, he didn't look glad at all. In fact it looked like the smile on his face was rather forced. "Now that that's settled let's get back to the job at hand." Without another word he continued to walk towards the lap chamber, or wherever the hell it was they supposed to be going to.

With a sigh, Riku followed. It's not as if he had a choice in the matter anyways. He would pop into this place, grab the princess, and maybe get to talk to Sora while he was at it. Nothing to get too overworked about.

His theory was shot to hell when Sephiroth pushed open the door, and Riku got a good look at exactly what Sora had been doing since they had last parted. The entire floor had sunk in, and down below he could see the brunette and his two companions battling what looked to be a humongous red genie.

Sephiroth had come behind him, and laid a hand on his shoulder. "That would be Jafar." When Riku looked back at him confused, he elaborated. "He's one of Maleficent's henchmen. Though it looks like he won't be one for long." He peered into the fiery abyss. "So that's Sora? Looks like a brat to me."

"Yeah? Well nobody asked you." Riku nervously glanced down into the hole, watching how Sora battled for his life. "Should we go help?"

"You want to help Jafar?" Sephiroth asked stunned, but even then Riku knew that he probably had known what he meant.

That didn't stop him from responding cheekily anyways though. "Not that moron...Sora." The brunette slashed upwards, jumping from pillar to pillar to try and get what that parrot was holding.

Sephiroth pulled out his blade, fully intent on a fight. "We can if you wish it..." Riku was actually happy about that until he heard the rest. "But it really looks like he's doing fine without you. I don't think he needs your help." In a much lower voice he added. "Or wants it." Despite how bastardly that had been, Riku knew it was true. Sora didn't need him right now. He didn't even seem to be struggling. "Now if you've made your decision we do have a job to do."

Riku followed to where Sephiroth was pointing, and saw that he was motioning to where a girl lay in what looked to be a giant keyhole. He glanced to where Sora was, and then back to what he was supposed to do. Despite how much he might want to help the brunette, Sora didn't need him, and he did have a job to do.

He ran after to where Sephiroth was already headed. It pissed him off a little when he saw the satisfied smirk on his lover's face. Sephiroth held his hand out, making the same portal of darkness that Maleficent had made earlier. "Wow you can make one of those?" A thought seemed to occur to him. "Hey can you teach me how to do that?"

"Maybe." Sephiroth put one leg in the portal. "Now bring the girl, and do it quickly Outlander." With that said he was gone. Leaving Riku there alone to finish the mission, or whatever the hell it was. Glancing once more at the pit in the ground, he scooped the unconscious princess into his arms, and he too headed through the portal.

Once back on the other side the first thing he noticed was how Sephiroth was glaring very heatedly at some man Riku had never seen before. Though calling him a man wasn't really right. He was more of a big blue thing with fire on his head.

"Who the fuck is he?" As soon as the question left his lips he was wishing it hadn't. Sephiroth and the strange person turned to glare at him, and he realized a little too late that this was not the time to ask questions.

Sephiroth scoffed before walking the other way. "I'm leaving. Be sure to call me anything interesting happens." See that was just not fair. He was gone for like two minutes, and he had obviously missed an important argument. He had wanted to say bye, but it really didn't seem fitting so he just let him walk away.

Riku walked over to a table, and laid Jasmine down. Maleficent seemed rather pleased by all of this, and when he caught her eye she motioned to the strange man. "This is Hades. He is the God of the Underworld." Well it sounded impressive, but he really didn't see what it had to do with him.

"That viceer could've had him, if someone would of stuck around to give him a hand." Well before he had just not thought of a good reason to get to know him, now however he strongly dislike him. Who the hell was he to judge what he could or could not have done.

"Hey I did my part, I brought back the princess didn't I?" That's all he had been assigned to do. He wasn't exactly trying to win brownie points with this lot.

Maleficent smirked at him, and he couldn't help but feel a little bit better. "Jafar was way beyond help, consumed by his own hatred. One should beware of letting it burn too brightly."

When she had said this she had been looking at Hades, and he seemed to have caught on. "Whoa, whoa. Lighten up. I'm as cool as they come, okay?" Riku didn't really think that was all that true seeing as how there was fire on the top of his head. Though that seemed to be his last concern, because the god turned his eyes on him. "By the way kid, have we got something special for you."

Both of them were smiling, but Riku couldn't help but mistrust them. After all they weren't exactly the most trustworthy people now were they? "We had a deal, yes? You help us, and we grant your wish..."

His wish...that was a load of crap. He hadn't wished for that. It was pretty much just the last straw before his breakdown. So pretty much if he couldn't make Sora happy he would give him someone that would. Maleficent gestured to the screen, and he couldn't help but be a little surprised.

Kairi's floating body was being projected, and just seeing made that same feeling of jealousy well up in his chest. Though he had to face it, she was the one Sora wanted, not him...not anymore at least.

"Go to her. Your vessel is waiting." His vessel was waiting? What the hell was that supposed to mean? His question was soon answered as what looked to be the dumbest looking pirate he had ever laid eyes on walked through the door.

"Just remember, this is no pleasure cruise. It won't be a pleasant voyage." You know he knew he wasn't a very trusting person, but people really weren't this nice. Especially evil people.

"Why are you doing this all for me? What's the catch?" There always was a catch. Nothing in his life had ever come for free.

"Catch? What Catch?" A shutter went through his body when a cold clammy hand was laid on his shoulder. "Silly boy. You're like a son to me. I only want you to be happy."

Seriously what a load of crap. Did they actually expect him to buy this? Riku slapped the hand off his shoulder. "I seriously doubt that." They were up to something, and soon he would find out just what that was.

"Believe what you wish. But lest we forget, I kept my end of the bargain." So that was true, he still didn't trust her. But at the time what choice did he have? With a scowl he followed the pirate out of the door. This was going to suck. He always did hate long boat rides.
