When they arrived at the abortion clinic they were in the waiting room. Gerard got his phone and dialed Bob's number.
"Hello?" Bob sounded like he was eating.
"Hey Bob what's up?" Gerard asked.
"Um...nothing much, Rachel's just flirting with your brother"
Gerard sighed, "And I thought I was the hottest in the band"
"Hey!" Bob sounded angry.
"Sorry...um...What are you eating?"
"Gummi Bears"
"Oh dude! Why the gummi bears? That's bad... try something new for once!"
"Dude, back off they are my babies and I love them"
Gerard sighed, "Ok um... listen, me and Shannel went out and we might come later ok?"
"Oooh, you got the girl this time, huh?"
"Ok, we'll talk later"
"You're going to get laid, mate"
"Bye" Gerard sighed again and shut the phone.
"Shannel Ivy?" called out the nurse.
Shannel and Gerard stood up, "I want to go alone" she whispered.
"No I'm coming with you" Gerard whispered to her ear while gently pushing her towards the doctor's room.
Shannel sighed.

They entered the doctor's room and quietly sat down.
"Well, well" said a doctor, "I'm Dr, Coleman and you are?"
"I'm Shannel Ivy and this is Gerard Way"
"So you guys are a couple, married? Or just a one off thing?"
Shannel looked at Gerard; "Well we err..." she started.
"We're a couple" interrupted Gerard while eyeing her.
Shannel crossed her arms.
"Well, why do you want an abortion?"
"Because I don't want it" snapped Shannel.
"And you agree with her Mr. Way?"
"Oh...well I want the baby, but if Shannel doesn't want it... well I can't force her can I?"
Shannel turned to Gerard and mouthed "really?"
Gerard nodded.
'OMG! He wants the baby! He likes me! Oh why am I a thick head? I guess he hates me now' she thought as she sighed.
"Ok, so you've made your decision?" asked the doctor.
They both nodded.

"Ok Miss. Ivy do you mind changing to this night gown?"
Shannel nodded and went to the toilets to change. When she came back Gerard was standing next to the doctor while Dr. Coleman put on his gloves.

Shannel was lying down and squeezing Gerard's hand while Dr. Coleman took the now dead baby out.
"Ok, all done. Mr. Way keep her laid there until I say so. Keep strong" he added.
Gerard nodded and he shut his eyes.
Shannel tried to get up but Gerard opened his eyes and pushed her down, "You stay down"
"Gerard you look... sick, are you ok?"
Gerard nodded. "How do you feel?"
"Tired, dizzy and sleepy..." she said drowsily.
"The doctor said that you'll be like this for a couple of hours" he smiled.
The smile melted Shannel's heart.
