There's no way I'm kissing that guy

The crisp breeze that blew against my face started to settle down as the bus came to a slow stop.

Great. Looks like we broke down…again.

I guess it was a good thing we weren’t to far from a trailer park. You could say coincidence. It was actually really nice. It wasn’t one of those grungy run down trailer parks with the crappy bathrooms and square tissues. It wasn’t a trailer park with community showers and no curtains to hide what’s usually covered. No. It had a gorgeous view of the mountains and the trailers sat on a large meadow not far from the road. The bathrooms had running toilets with actual rolls and large showers with hot water.

We parked the bus under a nice oak tree as the manager had instructed us to do and settled in. Strange how five guys can go from total assholes to wildlife experts in less than two minutes. Brian got straight to work on the bus leaving us stranded here for the night. But that didn’t bug me at all. What did was how one guy can go from being all over you to being completely shy and distant. Three guesses who.

I swear the guy drives me crazy! Like mood swings or pansy man syndrome as I like to call it. Can’t really blame him though. With the little free time we get it makes sense to want to fuck with our heads. But could he at least give me a clue in what the hell he was doing. I know that the symphony bar hadn’t been eaten yet. He was testing me. Seeing how long I could go without talking to him. See how long I’d go without sneaking around and trying to grab the candy bar myself. Childish as it is I didn’t want to lose. Not this one.

The guys and I walked off the bus enjoying the fresh air. It had a nice smell accompanying the site. Natural and clean. Reminded me strongly of Fra--.

No!

Anyways, you honestly have to love these guys. Their differences just bring us even closer together. As tough, as he might seem Bob is just as much as a kid as Frank is. First step off the bus and he headed straight towards the little park they had set up for the kids. Mikey being the sidekick loving fool that he was went off to call Alicia. Can’t stay away from each other for too long without hearing each others voices or else she might just fly herself out here. I laughed inwardly at that.

I was glad my brother had found someone like her. After their short backstage wedding, my mom gave me that sweet caring smile, telling me I’d be next. Putting on my best face, I nodded. Though I knew, I shouldn’t get her hopes up. Defeated, I looked over to see Ray following closely after Bob. Those two have a strange relationship. Whether there’s intimacy involved or not. You could see their mouths move as they shared a conversation. So of course, that left me with Frank.

Wonder why he didn’t follow Bob and Ray. We all knew the swings were Frank’s thing. We’d always find him at the nearest park sitting on the highest swing he could find whenever he was upset. The guys always make me go and find him. We would spend hours on those swings just talking. Mikey had called the police once thinking we had disappeared.

Breaking my train of thought, I watch as her casually walked over. I was expecting some kind of confrontation maybe an explanation for his actions earlier but that would’ve been too easy. Instead he came up next to me and rested his head on my shoulders.

Oh how tempted I was to just shrug that big head off my shoulders. Reject his simple gesture, but I didn’t.

His eyes found their way up to mine and they were filled with innocence and….hope. Maybe he was afraid that I really was going to push him aside. But that didn’t stop that smile that everyone loved so much from spreading across his face. He snuggled into my side and wrapped his small arms around my middle half. Although his smile had given me the twitchy feeling in my stomach again, I found myself leaning into his touch. My hand somehow found a way around his waist and gently pulled him closer.

His eyes looked up to mine with curiosity. I was just as surprised as he was. I wasn’t sure what had triggered me to do that. But, when Frank realized I was just as confused by my own actions his eyes filled with amusement and he let out a soft laugh. Slowly his body began to shake slightly and his balance started to fall beneath his weight.

He was seriously /laughing/. It was quit funny to watch him double over clutching his side with tears in his eyes. I suppose the shock on my face had shown when I drew him near. Before I could stop it a laugh escaped through my lips and soon turned to hysteria. Side by side, we were lying in the grass with wide genuine smiles plastered on our faces. Of course, the joy has to stop when a sharp sting was lunged in my side. My eyes widened with the intensity of ache and I slowly stopped laughing.

I was gasping for air from my damn side pain before I realized that Frank was still hysterical. I jabbed my finger into his side to shut him up which caused him to jump out of his skin. That didn’t help at all as it caused another giggle to explode from my mouth. It was my turn to be told to shut up as I felt a new pain hitch into my side. I snapped my head in Frank’s direction to slap him when I realized just how close his face was. A wide smile was plastered on both out faces and our breathing was fast and unsteady.

“You mind telling me now what was so funny” I slowly managed the sentence out of my mouth realizing that Frank had found his way into my arms once more. My arms were snaked around his waist and his head was lying casually on my chest. His breathing was synchronized with mine when he finally spoke again.

“You should’ve seen the look on your face. It’s like you didn’t know what you were doing when you brought me against your body.” The amusement quickly faded from his face. “If you didn’t want me around you could’ve said something you know.” He looked almost shameful when he added the last part to the sentence. But then he broke into a fit of giggles once more.

“I was going to walk away but the look on your face was too priceless that I couldn’t help but laugh.” He wriggled his eyebrows and then winked. I couldn’t help but to roll my eyes at that.

“Well I’m glad my face makes you laugh Mr.Iero that’s one way to bring up a friend’s self esteem.” I said sarcastically.

“I didn’t mean it like that.” He said sheepishly. “You just looked frightened, sorry.” He slowly sat up as if to walk away but I pulled him back down next to me.

“You know that cloud looks a lot like a bunny.”

He looked at me like I was crazy before following my gaze and locking his eyes on the cloud that was overhead in the sky.

“Gerard Way I will never understand what goes on inside that head of yours. And as random as that was I think you’re right.” He started to laugh again and then turned his head back towards mine. I pretended as if I couldn’t feel his eyes on my face scanning my every feature but his eyes were making my face heat up.

“Take a picture it’ll last longer.” It was an old comment but I felt like I was under I microscope just by the way he looked at me. He locked his eyes with mine and then grinned.

“I always liked you with black hair. But the white suits you.”

“..erm thanks I think.” I smile at him and then turned back towards the sky. I could feel his eyes still on my face. I was feeling really self conscious at this point.

“Yess?!” I said a little louder than I had meant to.

“Nothing. Just thinking. Did you know that you have something in your nose? Left side.” He smirked at his own comment and got to his feet.

“Funny. I was just thinking the same thing. I knew I could feel something up there.” He copied my actions by rolling his eyes and helped pull me to my feet. I stood mere inches from him with my face flushed. My hand was still in his when his lips met mine for a split second. I didn’t know how to respond. My feet stood frozen where they were and my eyes were open in shock. But before I could react he was once again gone. Off on the other side of the meadow next to the guys.

I sighed and cursed to myself before heading back to the bus. I needed Advil or something. Anything to calm the churning that had just settled into my stomach and the pounding of my heart in my head. Maybe something to remove the sweet sensation I felt from the feel of his soft pink lips over mine.
