Pete smiled as he held Casey’s hand, both walking alongside each other as they made their way along the lengthy walkway that led to a dock, resting over the water. The place Casey had given him directions to was a park resting on the intercostal, but apparently people could go there all night as long as no one started any trouble. And it was so quiet that he could understand why she said she often came here to think when she needed to get out of the house. When they got to the dock, she broke away from him and walked to the end of it, leaning against the rail. He let her walk on ahead, watching her with protective eyes.

Casey closed her eyes as the wind picked up, moving her hair about as she inhaled the scent of the ocean air blowing over the condos, reaching the intercostal park. She hated the beach, but loved the smell of the ocean air, it was somehow calming for her and did in fact open up her mind when she needed to think clearly. When a pair of strong arms wrapped around her, and a chest came to rest on her back followed by a chin on her shoulder, Casey opened her eyes, smiling.

“Is it always this gorgeous at night?” Pete whispered by her ear. “Or is it just because you’re here?”

Casey smiled when she felt the blush he always caused warm her cheeks. “It’s always this gorgeous at night, and not because of me,” she turned her head, looking at him a he lifted his chin and tilted his head so they could look at each other.

“I think you add to the beauty of this place,” he whispered. Casey smiled and turned in his arms before she kissed him softly. Pete closed his eyes and let her capture his mouth with her own, enjoying the feel of her lips against his own as she wrapped her arms around him and they held each other close. When a gush of wind pressed against them, he suddenly became very aware of how exposed they were and broke the kiss, looking around at the many hotels across the intercostal and the houses on the same side of the water as them.

Casey noticed his arms tighten around her slightly and she looked around before she laughed softly. “Pete, do you wanna know why I like it here so much?” When he looked at her, confusion written on his face, she smiled. “Because from the dock you can see the park, but it’s not the other way around. No one can see us out here. No cameras, no paparazzi, we’re safely hidden. I told you no one would bother us out here.”

“No one at all can see us? Not even with the moon out like it is?” He furrowed his brows and looked around, still unsure.

“Baby, from every angle, unless they were on this dock with us, we’re just two silhouettes standing together. We would even be able to...do things...out here if we wanted to,” she answered, her cheeks flaming up again, making Pete raise an amused brow as a grin graced his lips.

“Someone missed me more than she’s letting on,” he said, his tone teasing as he lightly jabbed her sides with his pointer fingers. When she blushed more and shook her head, he chuckled and pulled her closer, kissing the top of her head. “I love you Casey.”

Casey smiled as she looked up at him, her cheeks still flaming slightly. “I love you too Pete.”

Pete smiled down at his girlfriend as he tucked her hair behind her ear. “I can’t wait to have you back in Chicago,” he said as they stepped back slightly, holding hands now. “It’s so lonely there without you.”

“Trust me,” she smiled, “I miss Chicago... Before you left, did they find out what happened to the sound board?” When Pete gave an innocent smile and stared at her, Casey stared back, confused. “Hon, why are you looking at me like that?”

“I um...accidently...spilled my coffee on the panel,” he explained, using quotation marks for ‘accidently’.

Casey took a moment before she burst out laughing, something that made him smile. Pete laughed along with her as the reality of what he had done to get time to see her, sunk in. His laughter calmed before hers, and he watched her as she slowed her laughter to small giggles, looking up at him.

“I know, I know, I’m insane,” he said with a chuckle as they snuggled close to each other once more.

“You have to be to want to be with me,” she whispered before their lips met in another soft, sweet kiss. She shivered when his cold hand slid under the back of her shirt, his fingers playing over the small of her back, and he moaned softly against her mouth. Her knees went weak when he deepened the kiss a bit and his tongue brushed against her lips, begging for permission.

When her lips parted and her tongue brushed against his own, Pete slid his tongue pass her lips, slowly exploring the mouth he had missed so much. The familiar taste of her mouth made his blood rush below and he made himself break the kiss, his eyes glimmering from the light of the moon above. The look on her face from their kiss only made his blood rush once more as he licked his lips. “God I missed you,” he whispered as he rubbed the small of her back, fighting the urge to kiss her once more.

Casey grinned, blushing only slightly now as she looked up at her boyfriend. “I can kind of tell, what with it pressing into my leg and all,” she replied, softly moving her leg against his arousal, making him moan softly, the sound sending shivers up and down her spine. “You know... I did say no one could see us...”

“Baby, are you sure?”

Casey leaned up, kissing his neck, and then lightly nipping his adam’s apple. “I missed you too...”
