!!!!!Chapter 7!!!!!
A couple weeks passed and things still weren't simmering down. The rumors about Hilary and Joel kept flying. It was all over magazines and news stations. Hilary was going to settle this once and for all at the MTV Movie Awards that she was going to attend with Benji, Joel, and Joy. Her father was also going to be there.
[2008 MTV Movie Awards]
Everybody arrived at the MTV Movie Awards and made their way down the red carpet. They all stopped and posed for pictures before walking once again. There was a lot of different TV shows there like MTV News and Extra just to name a couple.
Benji and Joy stopped at Extra while Hilary and Joel stopped at MTV News. Sway just happened to be the correspondent that was at the Movie Awards Pre-Show.
Sway smiled as Joel and Hilary stopped in front of them, “hey look who we have here. Joel Madden and Hilary Mathers. Its great to see you guys.”
“Its great to see you. What’s up?” Joel asked smiling
Sway looked at Hilary then at Joel, “I hate to ask this question but everybody wants to know if Hilary is pregnant with your baby.”
Joel smiled looking over at Hilary. She smiled looking at Sway, “Well because I love MTV I'll tell you. Yes I'm pregnant and no its not Joel's baby.”
“Awesome so now we can put the rumors to rest.” Sway said smiling
Joel nodded, “yeah so you people heard it. Hilary's pregnant but the baby isn't mine. We just met not that long ago so yeah.” he said smiling
“Awesome so what are you guys most excited for?” Sway asked watching them
Hilary looked at Joel, “well I'm excited for our performance tonight. We wrote a really cute song and yeah I'm just excited to let the people hear it!”
“I have to agree with her on this one” Joel said smiling
Sway nodded, “alright I'll let you two go so you can get ready. Good luck with the performance and good luck with the baby Hilary.” he said smiling
“Thanks so much” Hilary said before walking off with Joel.
[Later That Night]
Hilary and Joel made it through the MTV Movie awards. They performed the song “I Will Still Love You” and everybody loved it. The crowd seemed to really enjoy it. They were on their way home. They decided to skip the after parties since Hilary couldn't drink anyways. Once they got back to the house they decided to head to bed
[A Couple Weeks Later]
A couple weeks went by and Hilary had done some serious thinking on what she wanted to do with her relationship with Joel. She loved the fact that he was so supportive and was there for her but she was just scared to start a relationship. She didn't want the fact that she had a baby on the way that she needed Joel to help her. She didn't need his help she could do it on her own. She had been battling with herself for a few weeks now on what to do.
Today she found out that Bryce was in town. She didn't know why the fuck he was here but it wasn't good. If Joel found out he would go kick his ass, which wasn't good. She had to go figure out why the fuck Bryce was here. She decided to go meet with him while Joel was at a meeting with Benji for their clothing line.
Hilary got out of her car and walked into the park. She saw Bryce sitting on a bench waiting for her. She walked up standing in front of him, “Bryce why are you here?” she asked looking at him
Bryce looked up at her smiling, “can't I come and visit you and my unborn baby?” he asked
Hilary rolled her eyes, “come on Bryce stop giving me your lies. Why are you here?”
“I think we should get back together” he said standing up
Hilary let out a fake laugh, “you have to be fucking kidding me! Do you think I'm fucking stupid? I don't want you Bryce! Why do you think I left Detroit? It was to get away from you!”
“Hilary I know you need me. If you didn't then you would be dating that little pretty boy you're always with. You cant date him because you know you still love me and want to be with me no matter how bad I hurt you. Just admit it. You want me still.” he said crossing his arms smirking
Hilary shot him a glare, “I don't want you. If I did I would be with you and I'm not!”
“Then why did you call me about a month and a half after you left saying you wanted me back? Huh? Now explain that one to me Hilary.” he said watching her
Hilary looked away, “I was confused then. I didn't know what I wanted but I know what i want now and that’s not you. I want Joel not you!” she said getting angry
“Whatever have it your way. You'll come back to me after you're done whoring around with Joel. You're nothing but a fucking slut anyways!” he said as he turned to leave, “I don't even see how Joel wants you!” he said walking off
Anger filled Hilary, “fuck you Bryce!” she yelled at him and turned around and left
[At DCMA Collective Store]
Hilary made her way to the DCMA Collective Store. She got out of her car with tears welling in her eyes. She made her way inside and saw people in there shopping. She walked through the crowds of people and made her way into the back where she saw Joy talking to Benji. They both looked over seeing Hilary walking towards them.
Joy looked over at Benji, “uh oh I wonder what happened...”
“I have no idea” Benji said looking at her and then back at Hilary
Joy stood up and made her way up to Hilary, “Hilary darling what’s wrong?' she asked watching her
“Joy I hate my life. I don't want to be in this situation anymore...” Hilary said trying to hold her tears back, “nobody wants me.....” she said trailing off
Joy grabbed her shoulders, “Hilary what are you talking about? You're talking crazy!” she said studying her friend, “you didn't talk to Bryce did you? Hilary tell me you didn't!”
Hilary looked at Joy and nodded before bursting into tears..
Joy pulled her into a hug as she looked over at Benji. Benji got up and walked into the room where the meeting was being held. He was worried about her and Joel needed to know.
Soon Joel came walking out of the meeting room and walked up to Joy and Hilary, “Joy what’s going on? Hilary are you okay?” he asked waiting for answers
“She’s freaking out again having a breakdown. “ Joy said looking at Joel.
Joel grabbed Hilary's, hand, “Hilary baby come on lets go talk.” he said walking Hilary into a room so they could talk.
[In The Room]
Hilary and Joel arrived into a room that was empty. He sat down next to her, “Hilary what’s wrong?” he asked softly
Hilary looked up at Joel, “Joel you know that I love you right?” she said looking up at him with tears in her eyes
“Of course I know that” he said wiping some tears away
“Joel I want to be with you but.... I don't see how you want to be with me... I don't want you to be with me because you feel sorry for me because i got knocked up by an asshole.” she said looking up at him
Joel took her hands into his, “Hilary I want to be with you because I care about you.”
Hilary looked up at him, “I want to believe you but I just can't....” she whispered looking at him with tears welling in her eyes, “I have to go....” she said getting up
Joel grabbed her hand making her sit back down, “Hilary I don't understand what is going on with you! One minute you're fine and the next your not. I'd like to believe that it’s the hormones but i know its not. Now tell me what the hell is going on that pretty little head of yours!” he plead
“Joel I like you a lot and I want to be with you. My heart is telling me to do it but my head is saying no. You have no idea how confused I am right now. I don't know what to do....” she said sniffing back tears
Joel sighed looking at her, “listen Hilary why don't we just try it out and see where it takes us. Alright?” he asked looking at her
“I.... I don't know...” she said looking at him, “okay I guess I can try” she said smiling some
Joel ran his hand along her cheek, “awesome.” he said smiling
“Joel I'm sorry for my craziness lately. Thanks for talking to me.” Hilary said smiling as she took his hand
Joel pulled her into a hug, “no problem Hilary. Lets go.” he said standing up and taking her hand and walking out of the room.
