DELILAH'S POINT OF VEIW:
I woke up in my bed. I had just had the most horrible dream. In it Julius had died and it had been my fault. But it couldn't be true. It just couldn't. Any second now Julius will knock on the door and we'll sit on the ground and talk.
There was a knock on the door.
I was right it was just a dream!
"Come in." I said cheerfully
My face fell when Scarlet entered the room and not Julius.
"Where's Julius?" I asked curiously
Her face looked very sad
"Don't you remember? Julius fell off that cliff." she said sadly
It wasn't a dream. It was real. Julius was dead. I felt my heart sinking inside me again.
New tears rolled down my cheeks.
"Oh, Sugar." Scarlet said grabbing my hand and squeezing it. "I know how hard this must be for you."
"No you don't." I sobbed "You don't know what its like to lose some one who means everything to you."
"I know, sweety, I know." she wispered. She hugged me and left the room.
I sat there in my bed feeling more empty and alone then ever.
********************************
A month passes, but to me it feels like time has stopped...
********************************
Even though it had been a month since Julius' death I still cried every time I was reminded of him. Every one tried to make me feel better but I just didn't. I kept dreaming of the night Julius died and each time I would wake up screaming or crying or covered in sweat. I hadn't gone on a mission since Julius' last. I just don't think I could. But that would change...
"Delilah I need you to go back to California to find out if Dr.Dismay is still planning something." Al said to Delilah, who was sitting in his office.
I just stared at him.
Was this his idea of a sick joke? How could I go back there? It was where...he...died.
"I know its the last place you want to go after......what happened. But we need you to go. You're our best agent." Al said
I couldn't believe what Al was asking of me! But I knew eventually I would have to go on a mission again. I might as well get it over with.
"Fine." I said quietly
