When the door to her offices opened, Rayne looked up from her paperwork to see a Disashi walk through the doorway, shutting the door behind himself. She smiled warmly at one of her many clients. "Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo, to what do I owe the pleasure?" She questioned as she set down her pen and stood up from her chair to cross the room and hug him, smiling wide as he returned the hug with as much strength as he could work in without breaking her.

"I've missed you too, Rayne," he said as he kissed the top of her head and released her before both walked to her desk and sat in their spots; her in her chair, him in the client spot across from her at the desk. "Travis sent me, we need you to find someone for us. It's an important case and we need him to be found as soon as possible for the sake of his life, if it isn't too late."

Rayne frowned at how serious it sounded and opened her laptop, that she had recently moved all of her files to. "Who am I looking for?" She questioned as she went to her information files once the laptop had powered up all the way.

"His name is Pete Wentz," Disashi answered as he got comfortable in the chair, watching her type in the name. "Do you know of him?"

Rayne nodded as she pulled up his file, but brought up another screen that covered Pete's page. "Tell me Disashi, what’s the threat for Pete?”

Disashi ran his fingers through his hair and shook his head. “A friend of the coven was killed recently, and him and his family was helping Pete with William Beckett, your not-so-late client, and now Travis wants to help Pete because of the new danger that has shown itself.”

“Not so late?” Rayne questioned. “What are you talking about?”

“So, the news hasn’t reached everyone yet,” Disashi muttered and looked at his hands. “Or maybe it’s being kept as quiet as possible and a leak was found…” He looked at Rayne, who was waiting patiently for him to answer her. “William Beckett is alive, no so well, but alive nonetheless. Gabe Saporta and his family was murdered as punishment for helping Pete and his family.”

“But William had, has, whatever, no allies, who would be punishing Gabe? William’s whole coven, Dandies and all, were killed off before and during the fire, how could William destroy Gabe’s coven alone?” Rayne questioned, completely confused now.

“Tom Conrad has apparently forgiven him for whatever drew them apart back in the eighteen hundreds, and he is helping him get his revenge.”

Rayne frowned as she closed off the page that had been hiding Pete’s information. “Tell me you’ll keep him safe if you find him in time? I’m close to his friends and to him, it would mean a lot if you could make sure he’ll be okay.”

“I promise you, we will take good care of them,” Disashi said as he nodded when Rayne printed out the information he would need and handed it to him. As soon as the paper was in his hands, he looked at, opening the mental link between him and Travis, letting his friend see what he was seeing, so that he could let her shred the paper when he was done sending Travis the image. He handed her the paper and she slipped it into her shredder, watching it to make sure the whole document went through.

Rayne raised her eyes to Disashi, who was also watching the document. “You’ll need to have something from me, to prove I sent you to them,” she said softly.

“What can you give me?”

“A letter,” she answered, frowning as she pulled out a piece of paper, grabbing her calligraphy pen. “A letter to assure them that you aren’t just claiming my name after having harmed me, or just using my name at all.”

“Will they take the time to read it?” Disashi questioned as he watched her write, her hand-writing elegant across the white paper.

Rayne nodded as she wrote, not looking up at him. “You’ll have a weapon or two aimed at you while one of them reads it, mind you, safety and all that, but you’ll be fine when they get done reading it.” She paused in her writing to look up at him. “Do you and Travis trust me, Disashi?”

“Yes, of course,” Disashi answered, flashing her a full smile. “You have never done our coven wrong, as a matter of fact, you’ve helped us more than any allied covens. We would be foolish not to trust you.”

“Who all will be going with you to meet Pete Wentz?”

“Give me a moment and I will ask,” Disashi answered as he used the still open mental link to question Travis about who all they were bringing with them. “Myself and him. Why do you ask?”

“In all honesty, if you’re going to Pete, meeting his family, his small coven, you need to bring those closest to you,” she answered. “Everyone he loves and trusts is at that home, it would only seem more trustworthy to him for you and Travis to bring those closest to you, or at least a small handful of them.”

“So, you think we should bring Matt and Eric?”

Rayne signed the letter as she gave a confirming nod and then folded the letter in her way, sliding it into the envelope. Sealing the letter with her personal seal, she handed the letter to Disashi, who took it, looking it over. “That will get you into Pete’s home, and tell him to call me to let me know everything is okay.”

Disashi nodded as he rose to his feet, followed by Rayne, who walked him to the door, hugging him tightly one more time. “Don’t worry, Rayne, we’ll take good care of your friends, I promise you.”

“Thank you Disashi, thank you.” She let go of him as he kissed her forehead and let go of her as well. “Please take care of yourselves too.” She watched as Disashi nodded before he opened the door and walked out, leaving her to her thoughts. With a heavy sigh she sat back down in her chair and ran a hand through her hair, trying to grasp the fact that Gabe Saporta, the one who turned her, was gone.
