Harry Potter and Merlin's Reaper

YEah its a kick in the balls when you simply run out of steam on a story.
Still a satisfactory end. And I'm a-Hermione's only for Harry-man so this is about as good as it gets there!
Queen Consort is good here though I would think the four would have kept closer touch even with the rebuilding of Society and technology!
BTE would William and Hermione's children be magical as are Harry's?
Might be a start of a new magical race within the new society. Though it would take generations til that would be acceptible!
Kudos!Harry Potter and Merlin's Reaper

MY compliments, you've managed to tie it off quite nicely despite loosing interest in it. I would suspect that Harry's children are magical by virtue of his different "polarity" and it's unlikely there'll be any others for a good while, if at all. I can see the Potter's becoming a presence but not a power and not expanding their family to where another wizarding age is possible. I do like that the two couples stay in contact, as infrequent as their lives may make it, and 'twill be good if their children do likewise. I quite liked the quote from a history text with which you started this chapter; it settle a lot without being too dry or too sleep-inducing" (some folks do info-dumps that are as dry as Binns' teaching). Speaking as someone who works with technology, I wonder how the world will recover technically and what different paths, if any, they'll take this time? If nothing else, the reduced stock of petroleum should lead to an emphasis on photochemistry with the goal of artificial photosynthesis to create fuel and lubricant stocks will leaving the remaining petroleum for feedstock use. It'd be interesting if any nuclear-powered vessels survived to help renew civilization. Lots of material to think on, here.
Bravo!! for a good and enjoyable story.Harry Potter and Merlin's Reaper

I can (almost) identify the point in which you and your story turned on each other. The seeds were there from the beginning, in creating a world that you did not believe in. There was little room for your usual excellent sense of humor to shine. I've read your works here many times each, as you are #1 on my favorites lists. This story I have skipped after the first read through. Seeing this final chapter, I went back through and read it from beginning to end. As already noted, not your best work, but skillfully told none-the-less.
And now, after three years, that it is finally done, you can get back to the stories your muse is more enthusiastic about. Awww, who am I kidding? Chains 65619 to his keyboard with an Elf to take care of his living needs Moar Technomage and Sun Source nao!!! hehe
I would also LOVE to see you do one with all original characters set in the PotterverseHarry Potter and Merlin's Reaper

Never apologize for finishing a story. It's a rare event in Ficverse.
Thanks loads for a truly fascinating tale. While you have evolved beyond the precepts of this storyline, it was the reason i started reading your stories and that's a very good thing.
One of these days, i might finish something myself.
Nah.
Keep at it. You make the world a funnier place. Everything you write is worth reading.

I have to agree, this isn't one of your best, and I hadn't gone back to re-read the way I do most of your other stories, but, still, thanks for finishing it. Now, if you are taking requests, I would love to see you do more with the Hufflepuff story you had in Thrilling Tales, where they are investigating Cedric's death.
