I loved this. it was the perfect mixture of creepily possessive, manipulative, romantic, and kinda rape-y. I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for Mikey; Gerard's awfully cunning to say that he's all his brother will ever have. But that's one of the things that makes it great.
Probably one of my favorite stories you've ever written, quite honestly.

Wow, thank you very, very much! I'm glad you liked the mix of elements; the possessiveness behind Gerard's thoughts, the manipulation in his actions, the romance and the very rape-like sense to the whole thing. I kinda feel a little bad for Mikey too.
I wasn't too sure about this at first, it's quite different to what I normally write, so it's really nice to know that you liked it! :DI Know You Love It

This is more than just alright. This is amazing!!! I really liked the way Gerard and Mikey were described here. Gerard is the kind of person that does/takes what he wants. He could care less what others think and only does what he thinks is the right thing to do. On the other hand, Mikey seems like the type that will disregard his own opinion to please everyone else. There's no way Mikey could know that incest is wrong if that's not the way it was looked at by everybody else. He was willing to stop a relationship with the person he loves just to be what society claims is right. He'd risk the person he loves leaving him (not that Gerard ever would) because he's trying to be 'sensible.' Of course Gerard will go to all costs to stop Mikey from thinking that way, even if he is a little forceful. Gerard knows Mikey doesn't believe that stuff anyway. He's just trying to convince himself that it's wrong because that's how most people view incest. Gerard doesn't care about other people's views. He cares about what he feels for his brother and what his brother feels for him. He doesn't need somebody else to tell him who he's supposed to love, he can (and already did) figure it out on his own. I like that no matter how many times Mikey will try to convince himself that what he and Gerard are doing is wrong, Gerard will always be there to convince him otherwise. He'll use some really dirty tactics to get Mikey to believe him, but they always work and are used for a good reason. Anyway, this was an absolutely wonderful story and I loved it to pieces. Great job!!!Author's response
Aw, thank you very much! :D
I'm glad you liked how I described the Way brothers; you seem to have got it down to a t. Gerard will pretty much do what/who he wants, he doesn't care about what other people think and only really cares about what's best for him as well as, although to a lesser extent, Mikey. Mikey, however, just wants to do what everyone else sees as right; I guess he wants to be normal and fit in. You're right about him not knowing about incest; if it wasn't popular public opinion, I doubt Mikey would have thought twice about falling for Gerard in the first place. Gerard will do anything to keep Mikey as his, even if his actions are a little intimidating/forceful. I'm pleased it came across like that; I was worried that Gerard's possessiveness came over as a little bit too rape-y. Of course I wanted that element to be there, that the audience doesn't really know if Mikey truly wants it or if it's Gerard forcing Mikey to think he wants it, but I didn't want it to be the main point to the story. Gerard certainly will use dirty tactics to get Mikey to see things his way, but it's only because he wants Mikey to be happy deep down.
Thank you very, very much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and lovely review. Thanks! :DI Know You Love It

This is amazing! You've made a fantastic job of it. I can sort of see how Mikey is doing it for Gerard just because Gerard wants it. Like he doesn't know he wants. Gerard seems to come across a bit forceful and thinks this is what Mikey wants. I get the sense of Gerard just does what he likes to Mikey because Mikey won't say no. Gerard is very cunning and knows exactly how to get Mikey which makes me feel sorry for Mikey. Mikey doesn't get the chance to see what he really wants. I think Gerard doesn't see this and just thinks Mikey wants him. If any of that makes sense!!!
Either way, it is excellent and it was interesting to read it as it had sort of a different plot to it. Brilliant job! :)Author's response
Thank you very much!
I'm glad you can see that maybe Mikey's just doing it for Gerard, as opposed to i being completely what he wants. I think he is kinda unsure about what he wants, so it's good that came through. Gerard certainly is very forceful, but I think that's because he thinks it's what Mikey wants and Mikey's just too shy/unsure to take it.

This is wonderful. Simply wonderful. The characterisation of Gerard was perfect; you managed to get the balance between possessive and caring just right. Waycest is one of those things where if you're not careful it can come out as entirely unrealistic (bearing in mind it's not really anyway, but sssh, let's pretend, yes?) and sometimes just plain cheesy. You don't need to worry about that though, because you write beautifully. :)
Oh, and a side note, this is the first story I've read on this site. So, I present to you, my FicWad virginity. ;)Author's response
Thank you very, very much! I'm pleased you think I got Gerard right; I was a little worried that he came across as too possessive. Waycest definitely can come out as way too unrealistic (yes, let us pretend), so it's a relief to know you didn't this came across as too unreal/cheesy.
Why thank you, I very much enjoyed taking your virginity. ;P

I liked how Gerard's possessiveness of Mikey is from something like him feeling unloved, or unwanted. When he mentioned that he couldn't lose what he had with Mikey, it appeared he was trying to hide his weakness from dependence on his brother wanting him and wanting to be with him with possessiveness. In this, he seems like he would collapse if Mikey were to actually stand up and just walk out on him. I really like it. +10 points for you, friend.
