A friend recommended your story, and I read the whole thing today - I enjoyed your premises, and agree to a certain extent with the fact that Harry and Hermione cannot just practice catch and release, however, I do feel that the executions would be much better handled with a piercing hex in the ear, or a decapitation, rather than a hex that requires hatred to power it.
I do not much care for the latinized name - one reason I do not read Naruto fics is the unpronouncable names.
thanks for sharing this is a very good storyAuthor's response
I'm glad that people recommend my stories. I try not to disappoint smiley face
By using spells that require hatred, they're not 'going through the motions'. It makes them believe that every death is for a reason, every death means something.
Also, Hermione would have to slowly grow into the gore. Harry could probably handle it, but not with Hermione around.
Does that mean you also don't care much for the Naruto Manga? Also, I'm changing the name. Might be easier to pronounce, but it depends.
Thank you for reading and reviewing, and please thank your friend for me.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Take Two

The story is a good one, with the usual spelling errors and punctuation - (joined words etc.). Definitely an AU and darker story. So far this story would fit in ff.net, I'm guessing you're planning things that won't fit their criteria? Revenge is a great motivator but this story has the feel of more than simple revenge. Taking out Ron was something that was unique in any stories that I've read. By Hermione, no less! Let's see how Ginny reacts to that. We already know that Molly would go ballistic. Neville and Susan are a good ship, but let's pair Luna with someone decent. No suggestions there, unfortunately. On second thought, maybe Fred or Charlie? Difficult call on that though. Hermione sleeping with Harry (finally) will be a bit early to take their relationship to the next level, but plenty of snogging works for me. I'm assuming that you will follow canon for the happenings at Hogwarts... Snape, the Carrows and other things. You stated that all magical children were required to attend Hogwarts, but then you mentioned that muggleborns would not. Can you clarify this or am I missing something?Author's response
Took me a few minutes to find out how to reply, heh.
I may change the story up a bit. There is a shockwave happening from Harry and Hermione's actions.
Glad to see that Hermione beating up Ron is a new concept for most people, but it also disappoints me. In all the stories I've seen that says 'Ron-bashing', sure she kicks him in the nuts and slaps him in the face, but after that, Harry fights all of her battles.
As to who I'm pairing Luna up with, well... you'll see.
I never actually gave much thought to how Ginny would react. I put up a poll on ff.net on who she should be with, and Neville won.
....I should really get to explaining why I broke that to all of them.
And they're not exactly sleeping with each other. They are comforting each other. It's not a nightly occurrence. More fort-nightly.
spelling errors? punctuation errors. Oh, poo. I used to pride myself on having as few errors as possible. Well, I just got the beta-ed chapter sent to me.
In the original book, All magical children are required to go to Hogwarts. Except muggleborns. So they're all on the run. Same goes for all Muggleborns, children or adults. In fact, there's also a reward for snatchers who bring in any muggleborns, whether they say the Taboo or not.
This effects Ted Tonks, the Creevey brothers, and Dean Thomas (he was a half-blood, but he didn't have the papers to prove he was related to a wizard) mainly.
Anyway, thank you for reading and reviewing.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Take Two

I am new to the whole fan fic stories. But I have to say that I am really impressed with stories that I have been reading so far. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading yours so far. It is interesting to see what peoples takes are on how the books could have gone. I find I prefer some of the fan fic stuff over the actual books. Please keep up the good work and keep the stories flowing.

I am really enjoying this, and hope to see it go through to the end and beyond. I find that your writing style is very easily followed, and appreciate that fact. There are many out there that have to go through a brain filter to decipher sometimes, and I'm happy to say that my filter is off when reading this.
Ron: I completely agree with Hermoine's summation of him. He's a jealous prat who needs to grow up. If anything, Harry deserves to be jealous of the redhead for the simple fact of the boy's family. He was raised with two doting parents and a plethora of siblings. Honestly, I think his involvement with Harry was the same as Ginny's: seeing The-Boy-Who-Lived, instead of Harry-The-Traumatised.
HHr: I hope this develops realistically. Two many fics have the pair 'realise their feelings' and immediately shag. Not bad if you're into that sort of thing, but I believe the pair of them respect each other enough to want to make it mean something. Not opposed to them waking up in the next chapter and have a snog session, though. Seems appropriate, no matter the 'morning mouth syndrome'. Honestly, these two were written as perfect matches for each other, and I'm still pissed at JK for not doing that.
The war footing that's taken the pair is actually nice to see, even if it's a bit disturbing. War is never pretty, and I thing JK held back because her series was considered Children's Books.
Lastly, Thank You for having Harry acknowledge his grief for Hedwig with Hermoine. That was touching to see, and the most revealing about how they feel for each other. He never cried in front of anyone, but he did with Hermoine. That's a personal breakthrough, if ever there was one.
Tracking this, and hope you update soon. I don't mind long chapters, just so you know. The bouncing around from the different points of view is nice to see as well.
Kudos on a wonderful story!Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Take Two

Also: Hermoine's nom de guerre.
Since she usually says up nights to study, Night Owl works. =)
Strigiformes is the scientific order name for Owls.
From http://www.owlpages.com/articles.php?section=Other+Owl+Stuff&title=Owl+Words
Strigiformes: All Owls are classified as members of this order. The name is formed from "Strig", the plural form of the Latin word "strix", meaning "owl" and "formes", meaning "forms".
So, from that, Strix means Owl.
Nox is Night in Latin.
Strixnox? Striganox? shrugs
If or When they go through the process for Animagi, I can see Hermoine becoming an Owl. (or not, seeing as she really dislikes heights. Cat maybe?) Harry... Hmmm... Maybe a Phoenix or some form of Dragon would be apropos? Unsure, but with his penchant for Flying, I wouldn't be surprised.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Take Two

here is hoping that unrealistic thing is killing umbridge. though i've always wondered why they didn't have kreacher or dobby kidnap the evil toad. luckily, since they're remorseful, their souls will refuse if it splits.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Take Two

Hmmm... mayhap a little poke will inspire you to update again? I fell in love with this story from the first chapter and I hope your re-writing has been going well. I know too well what it's like to have a story written/plotted out so far, just to have it take a dramatic shift halfway through. Good luck!
