Story is going well so far. I like a time travel fic that kicks canon in a painful place. :)
Author's response
Heya Rob.
“Yeah, Time travel is one of my favorite genre’s. Rowling left us with so very many loverly plot holes, and Re-do’s are the best way to fill them in.

This story is very amusing, I really like the aspects that you have been playing with. It makes for an enjoyable read.

Thanks Celexs.
Time travel always opens it’s own can of worms, and with this one, I have to be more careful than usual.
I have another in the works where Harry says “Bugger it all, I’m doing this my way!” But that still needs some work.

At least Bob won't be upset with Petunia being an alpaca instead of a llama. Spent a lot of my early times working around Longreach, a good place for the boy to grow up. Always thought that the goblins had a wicked sense of humour. No wonder the wizards couldn't understand. Always had me beat why Fawkes put up with the MOB. Very enjoyable read. Cheers.
ZAuthor's response
Heya Zamia!
I hadn’t even considered that. Sorry Bob. Please don’t send Alyx with her ‘Frying Pan of Infinite Attacks’.™
I’m glad Longreach tickled your funny bone. I’ve never been there. I don’t know much about Austrlia, I’ve only been to Perth and Sydney, but I decided I wanted a warmer place for Dudley to grow up, (I grew up in New Mexico and prefer the warmth.) and Queensland is much warmer, geographically speaking, than either of the other two. Also, since Longreach is not as well known as the other cities in Australia, should Dumbley ever figure out what Harry is up to, he’d still have to hunt for Dudley.
Goblins: Right there! Each culture has it’s own humour.
Fawkes: Logically, there’s no good reason for him to stay by someone who’d do such dark things, and well-meaning or not, Dumbledore’s actions were the darkest of the dark. I’ve read three basic ideas as to why Fawkes stays. First, Dumbley has him slave-bound. Second, he has a twisted sense of humour and nothing better to do, and third, (my own contribution) is for good or ill, he is bound to his chosen bondmate until that bondmate dies, or until he chooses to return to the magic that created him.

This cleared a few things up, and I'm definitely loving the direction the story is going in. I LOVE 'super!Harry' stories, and the sci-fi angle is just awesome. Though it makes me wonder just what is coming (any chance this will be a Stargate crossover or something?), since Harry will have Voldemort AND Dumbledore dead within days of being sent back.
Update soon!Author's response
Heya OdinMage.
I’m glad you like it. I actually don’t care for ‘Harry the all powerful’ stories myself, but I’m trying to make this one workable. While he has the power, he really doesn’t want it. He’s had a thousand years to learn control and he’s going to use that to his advantage. In the end, all he wants is to grow up with his best friend, marry her, have a family, and live the normal life of a wizard.
This is not intended as a cross of any kind. Merely a go-back-and-fix-it!’ story!
Not within days. Months yes, but he’s got things to do before then.

Fine story. I continue to enjoy it and look forward to future installments. Thanks for writing. W.Author's response
Heya Wolf! This story should be about ten or so installments, maybe fifteen or twenty parts (I daren’t call them chapters. My English Lit professor would haunt me forever!)

Liking it!
I am wondering, however, what the main part of the story is going to be, because it seems harry is going to kill both Dumbledore and Voldemort very soon and he is so powerful they wont put up much of a fight. But I'm sure you have a plan!
Keep up the good work.
Regards, AaronAuthor's response
Heya Aaron.
Believe it or not, the main point of the story will be…
…and he will eliminate both dark lords within several months. In fact, dealing with both will be very much canon, and neither will be capable of putting up a great deal of resistance…remember, he is a thousand years old.

I find myself wondering how Harry will get his revenge on Albus, not to mention how will he get into Hogwarts to get the Diadem without waiting 6 years to attend as a firstie? Will he bother to attend at all? But you did give us a hint when you had Merlin say that as Harry changed the future his memories would change as well. And why did Mrs. Figg wish him Godspeed when she should have been freaked out by a 4 year old boy walking calmly into a UFO.
One little criticism though, if the hole left from Number 4 was hemisherical and sixty feet across shouldn't it have been thirty feet deep and not twenty? Picky of me I know but I am an engineer and that is what I do.
BJHAuthor's response
Heya BJH!
Harry will get his revenge on Dumbledore by using something in canon.
Hoggy’s: Harry is still very, very powerful, and he knows all the in’s and out’s of the secret passageways…remember, he spent several hundred years as caretaker in the castle.
Hoggy’s 2: Harry will attend, but that is beyond the scope of this particular tale. As it is, when he does go, it will be a different world. ‘Sides…imagine the chaos he could cause…Hehehehehehehehehe!
Memories: As he changes things, the memories of the things he’s changed will fade. That’s why I had him decide to copy his msmories to My Little’s long term storage.
Here, I have Mrs. Figg knowing what’s been happening at number 4, and reporting it faithfully to the MOB, with him doing nothing. I think she’d feel better if he were able to escape that, by whatever means, than still be under his control.
True, a true hemisphere would be thirty feet deep, however, with the average house being thirty five to fourty feet across, if the bottom of the hole was thirty feet deep, the upper corners of the roof would be sitting in their neighbor’s gardens. Here, I moved the geometric center of the sphere up ten feet in order to take the entire house. I suppose you could call it an oblate indentation.

Hello Bob.
That’s the fun thing about Fanfics. They can be so much better than the original.
Thank you for your kudos and you are quite welcome.
