Connie is a great character! Now there's a true friend, someone who is able to calm you down and provide the avenue for justice. Trust Dumbles to suspend the laws but not discard them altogether. He's the sort who'd keep them on the off chance he could use them some day. Will Rita and the Prophet even be able to put out a paper now? Since all their stories seem to consist of innuendo, slander and lies would they know how to report a legitimate fact if it dropped on the desk in front of them? I wonder if a trial on libel charges looms in Rita's future? She shouldn't complain if one does, she'd have a story up close and personal to write! Harry's hunt was excellent, and I approve; At least Greyback was useful for once in his life. I've loved The Princess Bride from the first time I read the book! The movie is one of my favorites too. Actually, Harry could have used Inigo's lines to the Count when he faced Voldy later! Harry and Graswold are great team; and their planning worked a lot better than three teenagers playing a combination game of "hide and seek/search and destroy" because Dumbles couldn't be bothered to deal with the sociopath he fostered. But then very little of what that man did made sense to me. Sighs. The man shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near children! Many thanks for the chapter, and I'm glad that you're feeling better! Take care now! :)Author's response
~Connie is a great character! Now there's a true friend, someone who is able to calm you down and provide the avenue for justice. ~
Heya Teresa!
Basically yeah. She’s that friend who would tell you, “You know, that was really stupid. So, who do we call to bail us out?”
~Trust Dumbles to suspend the laws but not discard them altogether. He's the sort who'd keep them on the off chance he could use them some day.~
And again. He’s shown that side of her personality throughout the series.
~Will Rita and the Prophet even be able to put out a paper now? Since all their stories seem to consist of innuendo, slander and lies would they know how to report a legitimate fact if it dropped on the desk in front of them? ~
Surprisingly enough, she can write an honest story. (Reference Hermione’s blackmail of book five) With the new rules in place, the Prophet will have to start acting like a GASP! legitimate newspaper!
~I wonder if a trial on libel charges looms in Rita's future? ~
Mmmyeahhhh…Could be! Actually, Amelia has already set it up as a fall back. they can avoid it if they print an apology, but how likely is that? In eitehr case, it’s outside the limits of this story, whish is already topping one hundred thousand words.
~She shouldn't complain if one does, she'd have a story up close and personal to write! ~
Rita is the type to complain if her quill runs out of ink. On the other side, she would have a bugs-eye view of the hammer.
~Harry's hunt was excellent, and I approve; At least Greyback was useful for once in his life. ~
Harry’s hunt: I find myself in agreement. Fenrir seems to be the kind of character invented purely so we all have someone to hate. For me, Umbridge, Snape and Dumbledore handle that role quite well, thanks.
~I've loved The Princess Bride from the first time I read the book! The movie is one of my favorites too.
Actually, Harry could have used Inigo's lines to the Count when he faced Voldy later! ~
It’s one of the few movies my daughter and I will watch togetehr. She’s into sparkly vampires and I’m…not.
I can see it, though. “Allo! My name is Harry Potter. You killed my parents…prepare to die!”
~Harry and Graswold are great team; and their planning worked a lot better than three teenagers playing a combination game of "hide and seek/search and destroy" because Dumbles couldn't be bothered to deal with the sociopath he fostered. ~
Rowling had a weird idea of what was reasonable. The camping trip from hell? Who knew the power he knew not was ‘pure dumb luck’? Dumbledore’s machinations point him out to be as sociopathic as Voldemoert himself. Hasn’t he ever heard of asnwering a question? IMNSHO, Dumbledore did more than foster little Tommy Riddle. I read a story once where Dumbeldore is faced by all the epeople he was responsible for killing over the years and Cedric Diggory said; “Killing students through neglect since nineteen fourty three.”
Thanks for the kudos.

I forgot to add the second movie: Star Wars! The Imperial March is one of my favorite villain songs. I see Greyback having more in common with Boba Fett than a sith; but then there is Darth Maul. He always did remind me of a hunter. Thanks again! :)Author's response
I agree fully. There is no musical theme that says ‘DANGER!’ better than The Imperal March.
OK, I can see that. He does seem to combine the hunter aspect of boba Fett with the berserker of Darth Maul.

A fun chapter and I'll be nice and leave the movie to others. On the other hand, that lawyer's name seems familiar, an episode of ST:TOS perhaps? Though if 'tis the gent I'm thinking of, he was a defense lawyer in that episode. It was good to see Greyback actually doing some good here, even it 'tis the only good he'll ever be of use for.Author's response
Hay Cat!
I was surprised that so many people guessed the name of that movie. Even after all this time, it’s still something that both my daughter and I can agree on.
Attorney: Actually, it was. The episode was ‘Court martial’ and Cogsley was Kirk’s defense attorney. I needed a name and his came up. He was a lot shorter than my version though.
Greyback: Yeah, but on the bright side, it actually was ‘for the greater good’.

Do I have to choose which part of Star Wars it is? I'd say it's Yoda or Luke - both have used green lightsabers before...Author's response
That would be my fault. Actually I was referring to the quote from Harry to Fenrir; “I am no one of consequence.” Which came from ‘The Princess Bride’. I’d forgotten all about ‘mental Harry’ and his 'mental Lightsaber', as I’d written that part before the other.

I did not mean to say you did poorly with my previous reviews merely that there was a typo that if fixed would make the story just that much closer to perfection and that i prefer to share these typos with the authors in private so the corrections can be made quietly but that i can not find a private way to contact you so far so i had to make use of the unfortunately public review systemAuthor's response
As I said, until I can get my spell checker up and running again, it’s a problem we’ll have to deal with.
Private: I don’t have regular access to the net, so I post at the local library, usually once a week or so.

Hey, great story and chapter. The reason I haven't reviewed till now is usually I don't like to review unless there is something to actually say that is interesting.
That being said, I do have a question for you.
In many HP FanFics I have seen the Goblins remove the soul fragment from Harry, as well as here the Killing Curse described as 'separating ones soul from the body'. What I want to know is; would it be feasible for the Goblins to engineer some sort of reversal of that process? So instead of pulling souls out, they force them in or force them to stay. If they do this, and then make it portable like a pendant or something, then they may have invented a full immunization of the Killing Curse.
Please let me know your thoughts on the matter.Author's response
Heya doubledamn.
I’m glad you liked the ride. Don’t worry about the reviews. I usually get one for every hundred people who look at the story. Only the very best FF authors get a higher percentage.
Your question…deserves a reserved ‘yes’, but brings up several problems.
1) Should the Ministry ever discover the goblins have such knowledge, they would instantly begin clamouring for war. Remember the bigotry in the Ministry. They wouldn’t want the goblins to have anything that could be turned into what amounts to a weapon of selective mass destruction.
2) The Death Eaters would be doing the same, given that the killing curse is one of their favorite weapons. Voldemort especially would see to it that the goblins were wiped out.
3) Then, there are all the worthless knock-offs that would crop up. If one of them was used and failed, guess who’d get the blame.
4) After that, if other ministries got wind of this development, war would again follow. “Can’t have those other people having what we don’t, y’know.”
As I indicated, while a good idea, I’m not sure it could be made to work. On the other hand, this is an interesting plot twist for your very first fanfic.
