Jay dodged the sythe and got up.
" Not yet Cronus." He said as he pulled out his sword.
Jay went in to attack. There was a loud sound that came from the swords impact on the sythe. Jay was forcing Cronus to back up. Right now Jay had the upper hand. Cronus pushed on his sythe as hard as he could. That sent Jay flying backwards. Jay landed hard on his back. Cronus walked over and brought the sythe up ready to strike. Jay moved to the right to dodge Cronus cheap shot. He wasn't as lucky as the first dodge. Cronus' sythe caught Jay's left arm. As Jay got up he winced wih pain. Jay ran towards Cronus again. He wasn't going down that easily. Cronus moved to the left but Jay cut through Cronus' right shoulder. Both badly wounded they continued to fight. Another swing form Cronus caught Jay's right leg. A stab from Jay went through Cronus' side. Jay knew he couldn't kill Cronus because he was a god. But he could weaken him. The battle went on. Swing after swing and hit after hit. Before long Jay was deeply cut on his left arm and shoulder, his right leg, his torso, his left leg, his right arm and he had a small cut above his right eyebrow that sent blood trickling down his face. Cronus was just as injured. Cronus had been stabbed three times in the torso, once in his right shoulder, his left arm, and his left leg. Both in horrible condition they refused to give up. Suddenly they heard a noise. They both looked to where the noise had come from. Cronus took a swing at Jay while his guard was down. Cronus' sythe caught Jay's stomach. Jay fell against the fall trying to stay consious. Cronus swung again. This time he caught Jay's right shoulder. Jay dropped his sword. Jay went to pick up his sword but Cronus knocked him down. Jay rolled to his stomach and tried to push himself up. He couldn't. Cronus used his foot to roll jay onto his back. Cronus then pushed down on Jay's chest with his foot, pushing the breathe out of Jay. Then he picked up the young hero by his shirt collar. Cronus raised his sythe to deliver the final strike. ' Is this the end?... No. It can't be over. Not yet. I can't lose. I won't lose." Jay thought this as he noticed something move. Cronus noticed it too. Cronus pushed the youg hero against the wall. Then he opened another portal. He looked weak. Jay had really weakened him. Cronus left Jay with one last comment
" Your time will come Jay. You will surrender to my power." then Cronus was gone. Jay was weak. He could barely stay consious. Then he saw a shadow move toward him.
" Jay," the voice sounded so familiar but Jay couldn't make out who it was, " Jay are you okay?" He recognized the perfum. It was Theresa.
A small smile spread across Jay's face before he fell unconsious.
" We have to get him to Chiron." Theresa said to Herry and Hermes, who had come with her to find Jay.
Hermes took them back to the school and then Herry and Theresa took Jay to Chiron.
" He's pretty badly hurt. But at least he's still alive. I'll take care of him. You two go rest you've had a long day." Chiron said as Herry put Jay down on the table.
Herry and Theresa left Chiron to treat Jay's injuries. They went back to the area where cots were set up. Everyone was too tired and exausted to go home. Despite being tired no one slept. They awaited Theresa and Herry to hear the news on Jay.
" How is he?" Jasmine asked. She had been allowed to stay there but she was sworn to secrecy about the where abouts of the gods hideout. Also she was a descendant of Jason which meant she was one of them.
" He;s really badly hurt." Herry replied his head hungdown from the thought of his friend's injuried body.
" I still can't believe he went after Cronus alone." Archie said adjusting some of his bandages.
They all sat in silience for a while. They were all deep in thought when Chiron came in, he had a glum expression on his face.
" So?..." Theresa was the first to ask about Jay.
" I'm afraid Jay lost a lot of blood. I did all I could." Chiron said.
" You mean he's..." Atlanta started but couldn't bear to finish her sentence.
" No. He's still alive. But barely. If you didn't get there when you did who knows what kind of condition he'd be in. He needs to rest. But he should pull through. In the mean time you should all rest." with that Chiron left.
The heroes got onto their cots but didn't fall asleep right away. Eventually they all fell asleep.
When they woke up they were still all really sore but they had to know how Jay was. After they asked Chiron if it was alright if they could see Jay and after Chiron said yes, they went to the room where Jay was. They opened the door and were shocked at what they found. Well at what they didn't find. Jay! He was gone.
" Hey. Where's Jasmine?" Archie asked.
The same thoght floated into everyone's head, ' Jasmine took Jay. Probably to Cronus.'
