Sakura woke up the next day to a blood soaked bandage. Wincing, she changed the shirt and got ready for school. She went down to the kitchen, ate breakfast, and walked to school.
Entering the classroom, she took her seat next to the window. Gazing at the scenery, she gently touched the bandage on her face. It hurts, but she can't be a kunoichi without going through some pain. Even if life is terrible right now, she still wants to graduate. After graduation, that's when she'll leave. Then everyone will be sorry they ever called her useless.

4 years later
It was graduation day for the Academy. Sakura was currently in the room where she would be tested. "Please do the Shadow Clone Jutsu."
She nodded, and put her hands in the starting position.
Rat, Boar, Dog, Horse
There was a poof of smoke, and an identical version of herself appeared. Iruka-sensei nodded, and handed her a forehead protector. Sakura took it happily, and went outside and waited by a tree.
"So you passed."
Ino approached, clapping sarcastically. "I don't believe it, Scar Face."
Sakura stiffened at the nickname. The wound on her cheek had healed, leaving a massive scar running from the bridge of her nose to her left jaw. Ino had relentlessly teased her about it for 4 years.
"You know, how did you get that scar?" Ino leaned in, narrowing her eyes. "You said you got it when you ran into a tree branch, but I don't think a branch will cut that deep." Sakura darted her eyes back and forth, before noticing her parents approaching. She held back a thankful sigh. Never in her life had she been more grateful to see them.
"Sorry, but my parents are here." Sakura bowed slightly and quickly walked up to her parents. "Mom, Dad, look! I passed!" She held out her head band, smiling brightly.
"So you can do one thing right."
Her dad glanced down, before looking right back up. "Come on, we have to get dinner started. My parents are coming for dinner."
Sakura nodded slowly, hand dropping. She should have expected it. Her parents never praised her, unlike the other kid's parents. Right now, she can see them hugging their kids, congratulating them. She looked down, dragging her feet behind her parents. She can't take this anymore.
Looking up, she made sure her mom and dad weren't looking. She stopped walking before quietly heading to the gate. "Hey kid, where are you going?"
The two guards posted at the gate stopped her. "Oh," Sakura said, smiling. "It's my parents' anniversary, so I wanted to go get some cool new flowers for them!"
They looked at each other, then at the pink-haired girl who was starting to sweat. They shrugged, and stepped aside. She thanked them, and walked quickly through the forest. She wanted to find a place to sleep safely for the night. After a while, she found a small cave that she decided was good enough. Laying down, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The next day at the Hidden Leaf
Iruka stood at the front of the class, frowning. Sakura Haruno was gone. This was unusual. She never missed class, let alone when they're getting assigned their Genin teams. Sighing, he started reading off the teams.
"Team 7 will be Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. Sakura seems to be gone, so I'll inform her parents."
He continued reading off the teams, and when finished with school, he ran over to the Haruno residence. Knocking on the door, he waited until it was opened. "Hello. Your daughter, Sakura didn't show up to the Academy today, and I wanted to give her the-"
"She's not here."
Iruka paused. "Hm?"
"Are you deaf? I said she isn't here. Didn't show up last night. I dunno where she went."
The door slammed shut, and Iruka was left standing there, a shocked look on his face. So Sakura was gone. No one knows where she went. This is bad. He ran to tell the Hokage about this.
