Excellent end to this chapter. Try to update this one sooner, saavy?Author's response
Sorry for the long waits. I'm a slow writer at the best of times, and am now trying to hold down two jobs to pay off some annoying debt. Writing for no pay has to take a back seat sometimes.Taking a Mulligan

This is a great story! While I'm not familiar with with Chrighton and his story, I can see how you have managed to weave them neatly into the Harry Potter saga. Interesingly enough, it would be Hermione and Harry who have the easiest time of understanding alien viewpoints. As Hermione said about the American mages, they don't have the preconceived notions. We muggles have been subject to science fiction for more than a century and the current and previous generations have grown up with it.
OK, Harry is busted snogging Zhann, and daddy is not happy.(Dum dum DUMM!)
I have placed this on my 'alert's list' and hope to read more soon. AlorkinAuthor's response
It's always nice to hear that a crossover is accessible to someone who isn't familiar with one of the fandoms. Farscape is a smallish fandom compared to Harry Potter, so while finding Farscape fans who also like HP is relatively easy, finding HP fans who even know the first thing about Farscape is more difficult. If you are a SciFi fan, then I highly recommend the Farscape TV series and miniseries (available on DVD). It was well written with complex story lines, which does mean it's a series best viewed in order. For those with more limited time to devote, the miniseries "Farscape: The Peacekeeper War" does a fair job of standing alone and giving the necessary backstory.Taking a Mulligan

Heya
Just was browsing through your yahoo page and i wanted to say, this is a very nice story so far. I hope you continue to update at some point when you can get round to it.
If i might add, your unrealised peacekeer story is the one that especially inspired me to write the farscape xover i'm working on now.
I'm quite sure you've heard this now maybe hmm a few million times, but it would be superb to have an update on that. Any news???
Thanks

I'm sad to see that you haven't updated this for so long :-(
Indeed, I find the idea really original and I would like to read more
(and I had guessed that Harry and Zhaan would at least try to be together... I would bet that a certain father just caught them ...)
Author's response
Yes, I'm sorry I still haven't finished this. I kind of stalled out in the fight scene at the end of the story and there just wasn't enough interest out there to inspire me to work past it. I have another fic in progress that is taking me two years between chapter updates, just because I seem to have lost my urge to write.
Just in case I never do finish (though I do still hope to) you are correct that John caught Harry and Zhaan, but just kissing. Neither Zhaan nor Aeryn really let him get away with pulling the protective father routine, though.Taking a Mulligan

"What the frell is going on in here?!"
I don't have to guess.
Nice read. I'm not even a Farscape fan.
Fyi, a cutting torch runs about 50% hotter than the hottest blast furnace. Up to 8000 degrees. A plasma arc cutter runs up to 50000 degrees.
Electron or laser beam cutters are described as being the hottest cutters possible short of explosives.
I do know NASA was experimenting with a cutter in the 60's and 70's that worked at 250,000 degrees.
I wouldn't expect wizards or an eleven year old to know about these, however.
Although I wasn't a lot older when I learned some of it, so Hermione might. but could easily be excused for missing it. Being on another continent and not a space enthusiast.
Enjoyed it.
