Pete chewed his lip as he sat in the studio with Joe and Andy, while Patrick sang his heart out in the recording booth. Normally Pete would be listening, seeing what their fans saw in his friend’s gorgeous voice, but his mind was on Casey. He wanted to be with her today when she went to the doctor to get the blood test done, but the studio time couldn’t be put off without pissing off a shit load of people. He wanted to be with her when she found out if they were going to have a baby or not, and he was slightly pissed that he couldn’t be, but his need to know overrode his anger.

Joe nudged Andy, who was talking to Shaun on his cell, and when he had Andy’s attention, he nodded over to Pete who stared off into space. They nodded to each other and Andy said a goodbye to Shaun, promising he would call him back, before both men got up and went to Pete, sitting on both sides of him. To their relief, Pete looked up rather than keep staring, which meant they could talk to him without Patrick’s magic way.

“Pete, what’s going on?” Joe asked as he rubbed his friend’s back. “You seem a little out of it today.”

Pete shook his head and looked down. “Casey is at the doctor today and I wanted to be there with her,” he said as he looked up at Joe. “I wanted to be there with her when she found out, incase she needed me, and I couldn’t be with her.”

Andy frowned and slid his arm around Pete’s waist. “Is she going to call, or text, you when she gets the results back?” He asked as Patrick wrapped up and came into the sound booth.

“What’s going on?” Patrick asked as he sat on the other side of Joe.

“Pete’s upset that he couldn’t be with Casey when she finds out if she’s pregnant or not,” Joe answered as Pete laid his head on Andy’s shoulder and Andy brought his hand up, running his fingers through Pete’s hair.

“She’s going to text me,” Pete said softly as he closed his eyes, relaxing against Andy.

“Well,” Patrick said, chewing his lip slightly, “at least you’ll get to find out if there’s a baby Wentz on the way.”

Andy giggled. “Baby Wentz. That would be cute if the thought of a little Pete running around wasn’t so scary,” he said with a small smile as Pete himself managed a smile. “You’d like that wouldn’t you? Having a second bit of trouble running around.”

Pete chuckled and looked up at Andy. “I’d teach him or her to sneer at you.”

“Oh God, two people that can do the Wentz Sneer?” Joe groaned, yelping when Pete nudged him in the ribs lightly. “Hey, not my fault you doing it is bad enough.”

Patrick, who had been pondering it for a few moments, finally got an image of a little boy, almost mirroring Pete in looks, giving the Wentz Sneer, and burst into the gayest sounding giggle fit anyone in the room had ever heard. He tried to cover his mouth and nose so it couldn’t be heard but the damage had been done; Pete, Joe, and Andy all burst out laughing as Patrick’s face flamed up from his embarrassment.

“Oh God! My sides!” Andy cried out through his laughter as he put his arms around his mid-section, curling over himself.

Pete was bent over, his face in his hands as he laughed his ass off, his loud, boisterous laugh echoing in the room.

Joe was trying to stop his laughter, but when he looked up at Patrick, he saw the red ears and broke out laughing harder. Patrick saw this and got up, headed to the door, swinging it open. “Oh shit! Baby, wait!” Joe exclaimed through his laughter, staggering to his feet as he chased after Patrick who left.

Pete and Andy leaned on each other, laughing harder at the look on Joe’s face when Patrick, blushing severely, had stormed out. They knew he was just embarrassed and there was no problem, hence why they didn’t straighten it up and go after him. Pete’s laughter quickly died down when his text message tone went off and his eyes darted to his pants pocket. He realized how quiet it was and registered it as Andy waiting for him to look at his text message. He sent Andy a nervous look and saw he was indeed waiting for him to look at it.

“Pete... It’s what you’ve been waiting for,” Andy said softly as he placed his hand on his friend’s shoulder.

Pete nodded and took his phone out of his pocket, opening it. His mouth and throat were dry and his vision was trying to blur on him as he fumbled to press the buttons that would take him to the text message. He bit his lip as he looked at the message, blushing bright red, feeling stupid.

“What is it Pete?”

Pete sighed before he read out the text message. “Hey bro, Mom wants to know if you’re bringing Casey to dinner tonight.” He shook his head. “My sis.” Pete sent a reply and look at Andy. “I feel stupid for getting so scared.”

“Well, you are sort of waiting for a text message from your girlfriend that will tell you if you’re going to be a Dad or not,” Andy said, rubbing Pete’s back as another message came through.

Pete nodded as he opened it. “Yeah, I am, aren’t I?” He looked own, expecting to see a reply from his sister, but the message had come through when he wasn’t expecting it; the message from Casey. Pete frowned as he read the message and passed the phone to Andy, who read it and looked at Pete who looked depressed by what the message said.

“Pete?”

Pete sighed softly. “I guess... I guess I was kind of hoping she was pregnant...”
