To my mind, being manipulative and being a good guy are not mutually exclusive traits...
I would agree with this for the most part. There is also the road to hell aspect of well intentioned manipulation. I would actually think it a good thing if in this story Dumbledore's intentions are noble even if his methods might not always be good.
Yeah. I do not care for Snape. He is a grown man who gets his jollies of verbally abusing, terrifying, and ruining the educations of nearly two decades worth of children. While I do concede that he had a role to play it did not require that he be a fucking asshole to children or nurse a grudge to such an insane degree that he takes out his aggression on the child of his school days nemesis.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Love this story so far. Just a few points I like to ask or make.
1. Dumbledore has to know that Harry has no reason to be loyal to the current version of the wizarding world in Britain and can leave any time he wants to.
2. How long can the wizarding world remain hidden give the technological and social developments that will be occurring in the rest of the world in the marvel universe?
3. If Stark can use technology to see through the wards of Hogwarts can groups like S.H.E.I.L.D do so as well?
4. Baring a unforeseen incident it could be between 40 to 60 years before Harry can inherited from Tony Stark. Most likely Tony will have started a techmagic company for Harry long before then.
Author's response
- 1. Yep.
- 2. If I were a betting author, I would say the date of the wizarding worlds discovery and infiltration will be about 5 years ago.
- 3. Since S.H.I.E.L.D buys most of it's Tech from Stark, a safe bet.
- 4. Or Tony will be working for Harry.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Excellent scene there. DD is really up against it, as he needs to decide who he wants at Hogwarts more. He may try to make Harry compromise, but from Harry's perspective why should he? And what does DD have to offset what he wants from Harry? Harry can get a much better education from the people he already knows with no downside. DD will need to make some promises about Snape's behavior that Snape won't keep, and Harry will be gone. Or worse, DD will try to use force and bring everything crashing down around his own head.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Definately an amusing and inspired chapter , Aurors stupid enough to harass Dr Strange makes a very funny scene.
Snape really is a childish dips...t constantly sabotaging grades and student's hopes and dreams, over a grudge over someone who's long dead
He clearly cannot teach anything without bias, and should have never been allowed into the post of Professor and anywhere near children.
If Dumbledoor thinks he can influence Harry into serving as a minion of the light, he has to contend with the Stark empire and resources, not to mention any other friends that would protest.
If trouble occurs the Wizarding society would have to deal with Iron Man, Dr Strange, SHIELD, and possibly other Marvel heros - not a fair fight but they would loose with shocking revelations.
I petition for Thor to deliver the new Datapad, just for shock value - just consider them being stupid enough to try and take MOLINJOR from him
Either way this is a very intersting crossover

You know, I like Snape in canon, until about the middle of book 5, but I have got to say: GO, HARRY STARK! KUDOS! HUZZAH!
I don't see Harry as 'too mature'-- a comment from another review-- because I raised not one but two 'gifted' kids. The first is consistently mistaken for 20-22 years old, at fifteen, and the second, well, the second could've been a Weasley Triplet.
Good things: This is where I admit that I had to ask hubby about the comic book characters, because I care so little about them in general. This is where I ALSO admit that the idea is a WONDERFUL 'what if'!
Bad things: I have the patience of a gnat. Now I have to wait for another chapter. Also, the formal rating siystem isn't giving me the options for positive comments, which is FRUSTRATING TO NO END.
Thank you for being willing to not only play with an unusual idea, but to POST it.
I read parts of it aloud to hubby, by the way, and he'd like to see one of the adults in the FF drop off the new datapad, but I'd prefer it if Logan did, WEG.Author's response
- Neither the FF nor any of the X-crew are right for delivering the replacement Datapad. Realistically (if such a term can be used in such a contrived fan fic) the Datapad needs to be delivered by magic users. By pure co-inkydink, there are a pair of magic users in the neighborhood who I've always wanted to play with a little... I'm not saying who they are, but a tried and true comics geek should get it from their first names... Brian and Megan.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Oh, YES!
I love a tough, savvy Harry - one who stands up for himself in an intelligent fashion. And let's face it: the only reliable way to hurt someone is in the wallet. Now, let's see if Snape is smart enough to back down, or if a schoolboy grudge is going to do even more damage to his life...Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage
