Well, I can't rate this chapter, it seems all the good ratings are already used up and I refuse to give it an undeserved bad rating.
Having said that, I loved the teacher's meeting and the reaction of the staff to the news of Harry's "toys", and their capabilities, and the disclosure that he's already been taught magic by a number of folk who have no love at all for Wizarding Britain. I get the impression that this disturbs them for some reason - pity, that; perhaps they should learn to treat people better. I did love the bit about their dealings with Dr. Strange as it sounds so like him.
The Transfiguration class was a delight, not only can he "do", well, but he can also teach clearly. I suspect Minerva's going to be giving him some advanced instruction just to see how much he does know and can do.
The scene with Snape was good, apparently he's got a disdain/phobia for technic, muggle items as bad as the grudge he holds against the deceased James Potter. I loved the reaction when Harry refused to sit there and take it and then was able to enforce his stand; 'twould've been educational for Snape to learn just what muggle technology can do these days. I don't think Albus is going to appreciate Snape causing him these problems, esp. since -this- Harry is intelligent, independent, self-assertive, and not given to manipulation (I see both Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, at a minimum, have had their attitudes rub off on him). I don't think Dumbles is used to this situation and it's amusing to find him so flummoxed, esp. when he knows that 'most any other magical school in the world would love to get Harry, or worse, that Harry would go back to training with Mistress Harkness and the others. 'Tch, Albus, you really didn't do due diligence here, did you? And it's going to come back and bite you.
I'll admit, I'm looking forward to hearing more details on just -why- Wixarding Britain is so annoyed/displeased with Agatha Harkness. It should be quite a story.
Too, I'll be quite interested in seeing just who drops off Harry's replacement Datapad, though I reckon Tony will send a suitably prepared contingent to see what happened to Harry when the emails stop. Albus will not like the visit, no matter -who- it is, and some folk he may be even less fond of seeing than the magical folk (I'm reminded of the discussion on CaerAzkaban about one certain personage who's trained Harry in things besides magic.Author's response
- Strange is fun to write. His cameo will be a whole lot of fun.
- In as much as magic is a biological function in the Potterverse, all this grunting and staining that everyone has them do seems silly to me. Canon has untrained children doing major magic events, vanishing the glass in the reptile house et al, the contortions they put those kids through in school seems a bit much. For these people magic should flow as easily as picking up a fork at the table.
- A (partial) explanation for Agatha's rep comes next chapter.
- No, not Steve. Brian and Megan...Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Sigh. As much fun it is to read Snape getting smacked around, its no differnent than the other million fics where a more comptetent Harry starts Hogwarts. I've been reading fanfiction for a while and this story looks like its going to be an exact copy of book one just with Harry doing better than before. I'm hoping that you'll speed up the years and at least get to the more drama filled books.
I give this story a 2.5/5 for the nice crossover, but other than that its nothing special about. Snapes Characther is pretty bad, at least in the books he seems smart and calculating, here its like Draco Malfoy took over his body.
I saw what you said about Harry being too mature. The fact is Harry is way too in control.
Everybody else is just bland.
Again hopefully you'll speed it up.
I am interested in how your going to handle Sirius. I think you should have Harry kill him out of anger. You know not giving him a chance to explain himself.Author's response
- I'm not sure how much of the plot should have changed by this point in the story considering we are currently just before dinner on the first day of classes... The 'big May challenge' for this particular tale isn't the Philosopher's Stone. Quirrell will be gone and Tom will be molesting chipmunks after Halloween, and they only last that long because I want the troll incident.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

i bow to your mighty story writing prowess. though i find it funny (and im a wee bit envious...but hey, who wouldnt be with these awesome stories?) that someone your age has a better imagination then the teenagers that usually write these fanfictions.anyways damn this chapter was freakin awesome, i was practically shivering in excitement, you know that feeling you get when someone gets a dressing down but everyone knows they deserved it while at the sametime wishing and hoping to never be on the receiving end of the one delivering the dressing down. anyways i like Harry Stark hes a cool dude, someone i could hang with even if hes only like 11 and could very well kick my ass. since Harry is Tony Starks son in this and he acts like him can we expect for Harry to become a playboy(once his balls drop of course lol). cause if so then i have a few words to say about that: "Twins" and "Brainy-chicks..."(im sure we all know the end of that line). anyways i look forward to your next chapter

- By Cracky! Them whippersnappers had best watch out! And stay off my lawn!
- When (if) he gets older Harry will date, sure. I don't see the likelihood of a 'ship for many years.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Oh yeah!!!
Always love to Snape take it.
Harry is perhaps a bit mature, but only a bit. A student can stand up to a teacher if his family or social background teaches him to do so. Voice of experience...a couple of years older than Harry is in the story.
Btw, the school is liable for what its agent..Snape..did. So is Snape, but you can play with giving the bill to the Hogwarts Board of Governors if Snape refuses to pay.
Delivery of the replacement datapad should be interesting.
Did seem to be a reaction to the mention of Mistress Harkness.

Another excellent start! I do enjoy seeing Snape put into his place....as far as I'm concerned it should be under a rock with a permanent squishing charm! I liked how Harry, Hermione, Neville and Padma are getting along. Hmmmm....perhaps Snape could moonlight at the wizarding equivalent of Mc Donald's to pay off Harry... but then, he only has a month to pay it off. Maybe Dumbles will loan him the money. By the way, is Harry going to send his father a critique of Hogwart's teachers and administration? Somehow, I doubt that his father will appriciate Snape being permitted to teach when he's so abusive. I can see Mr. Stark contacting parents and former students to get the dirt on Snape. Add in Quirrell, the attempts at reading Harry's mind and perhaps the family lawers will have more than one person to file suits against. Thanks for the latest chapter!Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

Ah! I really love nononesense!Harry! That array of weapons the suit deployed was quite nice. I wonder if it really was the AI acting autominously or whether it had consulted with Harry over a neurolink before engaging Snape.
Well, Harry has drawn a line in the sand and Dumbledore's response will define his role in this story. That aside... Hmm... Did I really see it implied that Mistress Harkness is a relation of Professor McGonagall? That could make things interesting and could, in the medium-term, have another support knocked from underneath Dumbledore.
I loved Dr. Strange's response to the Aurors attempting to obliviate him. Something tells me that Harry has accidentally gotten himself pre-labeled as a 'threat' to the various conservative interests that dominate British wizarding society just by knowing the good doctor. Of course, it may also mean that he is already too strong and too well connected on several levels for them to dare to act against him.
This story is as good as I expected. I look forward to more.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

I agree with you about Snape, it was really very much in character, even if Harry was a bit too mature (of course, I tend to do the exact same thing). Still, a very good and fun chapter. I enjoyed it a lot.
If owls don't deliver for Tony Stark, who or what does? Thor passing through? And 14,000 galleons? That's likely more than Snape makes in 3 years!

To my mind, being manipulative and being a good guy are not mutually exclusive traits...
I would agree with this for the most part. There is also the road to hell aspect of well intentioned manipulation. I would actually think it a good thing if in this story Dumbledore's intentions are noble even if his methods might not always be good.
Yeah. I do not care for Snape. He is a grown man who gets his jollies of verbally abusing, terrifying, and ruining the educations of nearly two decades worth of children. While I do concede that he had a role to play it did not require that he be a fucking asshole to children or nurse a grudge to such an insane degree that he takes out his aggression on the child of his school days nemesis.
