When Vernon Didn't Miss

Hmm...well a rather unsatisfying end for Ginny. She was much more complicit in her diary interactions, and yet she was found to be innocent.
Once again the stellar cogs of wizarding justice continue to astound me. Draco should be declawed without his daddy around to wipe his bum.
Not a bad chapter, just not wholly satisfying.
Thanks for writing,

Hey I would of killed the fucker! Just because he resigned from the board and wizengamot...well a tiger dont change its spots and also the little ferret should of been given to the weasley bros... I dont know about his story but if something like this same situation had happen in real life then draco would of been dead very shortly after that remark of his! When Vernon Didn't Miss

Interesting update. You're leaving the Malfoys open for future action, though I doubt we'll see them again. I'm glad you didn't blame Ginny for anything. Jealousy is her worst sin, and all she did was retreat to her diary when that reared its ugly head. I don't like her, but it's impossible to hate her for that.
Looking forward to more. When Vernon Didn't Miss

Well, Ginny was much more involved with the Diary this time and paid a higher price; I suspect losing a year may not be all the price she pays, there's going to be lots of stories for the next year and she might even get resorted and -not- end up in Gryffindor (wouldn't that upend matters?). Considering that jealousy was what led to her becoming susceptible, I do hope she's learned something from this. Harry behaved quite responsibly while his friends neatly handled the dirty work (after all, they've far more experience at it). I did like the way the Weasleys figured out who planted the Diary and took care of him for the foreseeable future; that "reminder" they used was exquisitely applied.
Bravo!!Author's response
Ginny will be starting over, the oldest in her class instead of the youngest. Of course she'll be resorted! -evil grin-

Very good. Ginny paid a steep price, Harry and co is more mature, if a tad violent.
Ron is almost better than i would believe in this chapter :DWhen Vernon Didn't Miss

Oh my.
Last things first, the final musings of Draco was a thing of beauty. Paraguay? isn't that a rodent?
The stone cold efficiency of Harry's mentors is great, and chilling, to behold, but i agree that this chapter felt a tad bland, although i see the necessity. The pre and post of the chamber is more interesting that the event itself, from this story's point of view.
All in all, good work. I have a feeling that Ginny won't get away all squeaky clean from this.

They were rather gentler with Lucky than I would have been - IMHO passing that diary on to a child is a particularly vile and vicious form of attempted murder - and should be punished as such - But it is your story and I am looking forward to see what you have in store - maybe he will now be a sort of Judas Goat to lead them to moldie when he shows.
thanks for sharing your talent and skill - It is much appreciated.
I also quite like the way you handled the chamber itself - the coordinated attack smooth and cool. When Vernon Didn't Miss

Hmmm. A letter instead of meeting in person? I wonder if they are still among the living at this point or is there a ritual that needs a live Deatheater they are being saved for.
Resorting of Ginny isn't a bad idea. I'd suggest making her a Puff. She's going to need friends and I think whatever ambition she had has been burned out of her as well as her bravery.Author's response
Well, a dead Lucius does you no good in these circumstances. He might be useful.
