good story...but how does the wizarding world know about recessive genes and UV light?A Different View of Things, Year One

Okay, also a Harry who's learned that "knowledge is power" and is working to acquire it. That's quite a collection of books and I like all of his wands as well as his "new and improved" wardrobe. The meeting with Draco and his father was interesting and I like the wary approach he's taking with Malfoy Sr.A Different View of Things, Year One

I'm not usually a fan of Harry being friends with Malfoy, but I'll see where you go with it, I do like all the cool stuff Harry bought.A Different View of Things, Year One

Great start, please update soon!
One thing though, surely harry is only 10 -- not 11 -- year and some when he visit Gringotts... especially since he trains until his (11th?) birthday.
Part of me hope Harry will strike-up a friendship with Hermione -- and perhaps make her less bookish and bossy -- and maybe make Slytherin less hostile to "Mudblood" (although, I can't really see your story going that way so far).
Harry does seem a bit dark -- nearly evil, and surely egotistical and callous (not sure I like him much ;-)... He also seems a bit too well-adjusted to all the quirks of the Wizarding-world.
Hope he'll do something creative against his uncle with his Grunnings stock.
Keep up the good work, and update soon (yes, I know there are more chapters up already).
