that was brutal - and one wonders if you mean to heal her eventually. Can we hope that pansy will confess, with proofs, that Draco help and we are then rid of both of these evil families?
thanks for the very interesting updateWhen Vernon Didn't Miss

Whoa!! Now that was heavy and I suspect that fully healing Hermione is not going to be easily done, if it is at all possible. If it isn't directly possible, I do hope they find a "work around" that at least meets the needs of Harry & Hermione (the rest of the world can go sod off).
I rather suspect that Pansy will end up telling, one way or another, where she got the dagger and then Draco, Malfoy manor, and, likely, Malfoy Senior are going to get "visitors" they won't care for.
I rather suspect that if Harry appoints Sirius as his agent of retribution, the Parkinson's may well find that they don't have much choice, period. I rahter suspect that Sirius can find ways of really trapping them.
Lastly, I think Albus is finally realizing just how much he's out of control of things as everything spirals further out of his control. Meanwhile, Snape seems likely to meet a sad end before too long since he seems incapable of much cunning or self-control at all.
I rather suspect that the fall of the Parkinson and Malfoy families would have some interesting ripple effects on power blocks in the Wizgemot and that likely will work to Amelia's benefit. I wonder how Tommy-boy will like that situation? When Vernon Didn't Miss

interesting, i aggree with mathias about hermione createing a horocrux thus ensureing harry would make one.
or something along the lines of hermione will be tied directly to harry's life or his soul or something like that, thus ensureing they both live as long as eachother, thus if harry is to join the brotherhood then that effectivley makes hermione imortal as long as harry stays aroundWhen Vernon Didn't Miss

Ok, I read every chapter posted so far and I only have one question.
What and how much of it do you want to update? Anything... chocolate, chocolate cookies, swiss chocolate, jamacain coffee, chinese silk pajamas, tons of reviews? Pleeeeeeaaaase.Author's response
Well, a bottle of '45 or '61 Haut Brion would be nice, but then the JKR lawyers would descend upon me. Seriously, I update either every weekend or every other weekendWhen Vernon Didn't Miss

Oh, you aren't pulling any punches at all here are you? No children for Hermione and it looks like the only way for her to gain a full lifespan is to go for more. I see a thread where Hermione and Harry wed, Hermione can not have children and so the major impediment to eternal life, seeing your children and grandchildren die off, is removed. They need Pansy's life blood for the medium term fix so Hermione and Harry jointly do the deed, make a joint horcrux and live forever. That, of course, is totally outside of the Voldemort plot and not very likely but who knows?
Well, you know of course since you are writing this.

Oh man, I just had a thought! If making a potion from Pansy's blood and Harry's 'essence' shall we say can keep Hermione alive for six or seven months than why not just keep doing that? Pansy becomes the property of Harry and Hermione and every so often she is drained and Hermione's potion is made. How would that pure-blooded bitch, oops sorry witch, react to that fate, hmm?
BJHAuthor's response
Think of Hera's curse having three layers of results -- short term (rotten away of organs, death moderately quick); medium term (death by blood turning to dust after 5-7 years). The first has been taken care of and the second has a work-around (drain Pansy). However, the curse kills a third way, 20-25 years down the line, and that hasn't been solved yet. So, even if they drain Pansy they either have to solve the third death by the curse, or get around it (via vampirism, Horcrux, etc) As Pansy is not likely to volunteer to be drained, it's easier to think of the final step instead of the other two curse problemsWhen Vernon Didn't Miss

I wonder exactly HOW much damage has been done So Far: is it too late for Pomphrey to remove Hermione's ovaries and attempt to salvage them? I wouldn't mind Pansy having to bear multiple pregnancies of Harry and Hermione's children...Author's response
very close, but not quiteWhen Vernon Didn't Miss

As Pansy is not likely to volunteer to be drained
No, but she may not have a choice in that matter if justice, or at least just punishment, is served. Such a punishment -might- just make Draco stop and think again (low order probability, but possible). Even if he doesn't, a lot of others likely will.
Oh, just a thought, but I expect that Pansy's lack of success is not going to embolden the others supporting "pureblood only rights".When Vernon Didn't Miss

this is a tough place for the couple. I hope they can help Hermione survive.
