This one is really good!
I loved the "metaphor" and Luna's reaction to it :-D
I do wonder what the entity in the pool was, though...The Face in the Pool

I liked it. I agree that it ended too soon, but I love your writing, so even if it was 5 more chapters I still would have been sad that it was over.
I hope that your muse returns. You've never limited your self to keeping with cannon from the latest book, don't feel the need to do so now.
I really enjoy your works and miss it when you don't have something new. Now I think I may go reread something from Fiction alley (which you need to repost here... :) ) for old times sake.
Thanks for the ride! The Face in the Pool

Good story over all, however, while I felt the first 2 chapters were good, bordering on great, I felt the 3rd Chapter was lacking in overall quality from the rest of the fic.
It wasn't bad, but far from great.
Still, overall, this was an enjoyable read. The Face in the Pool

"The elder wand would be useful; but I have no idea what good the stone would be over a long term"
...Assuming Harry had any interest in such, the Resurrection Stone, which allows one to summon the dead to account, could be the primary tool of a Truth And Justice Commission which would document and publish exactly who and what were behind all the actions of the two Voldemort wars. It would deal the entrenched Pureblood power-bloc a deathblow, by stripping the DE mask away from all the atrocities. Who gave money to support LV and owes weregeld; who killed whose family and has successors liable for Lex Talis... And, with Luna and Hermione acting in concert, the Truth would out.
DrT, thank you very much for the well-reasoned. well-composed and well-written tales you've shared with us so far (well, I can hope they won't be the last!).The Face in the Pool

Oh, and, longer term, the Resurrection Stone is useful for recovering lost magics by interviewing their inventors and practioners. Every time an entire family on either side was killed off, like as not a family grimoire went lost along with its family-magic contents. What scions of now-dead clans, when summoned to chat, with the anemotional neutrality of the dead but for love and regret, wouldn't prefer their histories remembered and their magics taught to others who would remember their names with respect because of it? This goes well beyond the casualties of Wizarding Britain's Dark Lord Wars; cursebreakers could use the stone to interview the priests who worked the sites they're probing, to discover where traps are laid and treasure is hid. Wizarding archaeologists would find the Stone a vital tool -- given just one name to call, you could soon have a roster of a whole lost nation, and amass an intimate understanding of the customs and methods of that people. With the Stone, each and all of the dead become interviewable archives of their lives. Most of them would no doubt prefer their lives not be forgotten, so they'd be most cooperative. The Face in the Pool

Siaru -- those are the best speculations I've seen on the stone!
