{cue Dragnet theme} So Severus Snape finally gets his initial interrogation and this time Albus can't save him; couldn't happen to a more deservng scumbag. I daresay the knowledge of just how badly he's been played is going to make Albus' bad days get worse; all he needs now is for this information to trickle out to the public and his image, and last vestiges of power will disappear. I really think that any further summoningss or sharing of damning information should be prefaced by "the greater good" in some way; 'twould serve him right.Author's response
Heya Cat!
Not only can Albus not save his minion, he can’t even save himself. He’s been gotten away with murder for so long he can’t even consider the idea that people won’t allow it any more. Ergo, he’s sent to his estate like a kid after a spanking. Don’t worry though; we’ll be seeing him again.
Scumbag: I agree wholeheartedly. Rowling seems to have mixed up her characters with the actors playing them.

This is the second suggestion in that direction (destroyerdt being the first) and there’s another one in this group of reviews.
~all he needs now is for this information to trickle out to the public and his image, and last vestiges of power will disappear.~
He’s already lost all his positions and most of his official power. (the under-the-table stuff is a different story.

Goddamnit, Cat! You made me snort coffee! Wouldn’t that just get his knickers in a twist! In fact, I think I’m going to add the ‘greater good’ line to Harry’s final good bye to he old bastard.

Outstanding chapter!! I did so enjoy seeing Dumbledore get his comeuppance and seeing the Q/A with Snape was appropriately disgusting, with dismaying yet clear illustrations of what quality of person that Snape is/was. Again, an outstanding chapter...I hope to see Amelia rubbing Dumbledore's nose in his little 'Snape' issue.
Thanks!Author's response
Heya mjames.
Thank yeeewww! Any time I can stomp on the dark lord Dumblemort I take it.
Snape: As disgusting as it was, and believe me, having raised my daughter after my wife died, I am of a like mind, it was necessary to the plot. Despite Rowling’s insistence, Snape was not a hero. He was not brave, he was a scumbag of the absolute worst order.
Amelia: I hadn’t originally considered that, but I need him in the hospital for the final confrontation with Harry. What better way to get him there than a heart attack?

Nice story so far.
I'm always looking forwards to the next update.
I'm missing a little bit about why MacGonagal was in the area.
It's nice to see competent aurors at work.
Author's response
Hello, saas.
Thanks and glad you’re enjoying the ride.
McGonagall: Yeah, I screwed that up royally. I actually wrote that part for another story and when I snitched it, I figured it sounded good. Let’s just say it she was there visiting relatives or somesuch.
Aurors: Having been a police officer in the long distant past, (we carried swords and spears back then) it never fails to horrify me how lackadaisical the Aurors are in canon…and most fanon. That the court system resembles something from the middle ages doesn’t help any.

As Connie said "about time". Pity it wasn't a bit more harmful to the greasy b**tard. Good to see Moody realise where to put his allegiance. Can't wait to see Dumbles get his. Cheers.
ZAuthor's response
Heya Zamia!
I can see Connie’s disgust that she’d been unable to treat the Deez as they deserve. I had to deal with that, both as a civilian cop and as a military one. In fact, on North Island, when one federal officer gave a fixit ticket to an Admiral’s wife for a burnt out headlight, the base CO sent out an order that no officers over the rank of Commander were to be cited for any reason whatsoever. Elitism, anyone?
Moody has always been a puzzle. Excepting his devotion to Dumbledore (and quite honestly that appears mostly in fanon) he appears to have been a highly competent officer…if (a lot) paranoid. Here, I’ve handled him as I would have, had he been in my command.
